Top Dog Dies Tutorial: Apron Card with DIY Chipboard Embellishments

Hi!  Today I am sharing a tutorial on creating a Top Dog Dies Apron Card.  I embellished the card with chipboard sewing notions using Sew Much Fun Die Set .

Gathered supplies and die cuts:

First I cut the apron base placing 1) Apron Card (A2) Die 2) solid CS, 3) a Sizzix Impressions Pad 4)acrylic plate. I then cut designer paper to fit the fold over pocket.

Next, using my bone folder tool I creased the paper along fold lines and added score tape to the sides.

Apron Card with side flaps glued in place.

To create my own chipboard embellishments I take cereal boxes or other food packaging boxes, cut it to the general size needed, and glue it to the designer paper.  I run dies and paper  through the die cutting machine, then gently free the individual pieces from surrounding CS/packaging.

A close up view of the "chipboard" pieces.  Aren't they the cutest???
