Speedy Fox & Friends 205 - Use the negative from a die

Happy Saturday!  I hope you had a good week!!!  It was back to normal here.  Lots of after school activities, an old van's ignition mechanism fixed, record cold temps for this time of year, you know,  just a typical week!

One of the fun things I had the chance to do this week was create for  Speedy Fox & Friends challenge.  This week we are using the negative of a die cut.  I used a pretty star die cut negative that a sweet friend gave me and placed it over mixed media paper.  I stamped VersaMark watermark pad all over, lifted the negative and sprinkled white embossing powder over the little stars and then heat set.   When the paper cooled I used TH Distress Markers and colored the entire piece of paper then spritzed liberally with water.  I think this silhouette leaf frond from Marsh Silhouettes makes a great tree and I paired it with a sentiment from Columns & Topiaries.

I discovered this fun watercolor technique by viewing  Darlene DeVries  video.

I hope you will stop on by  Speedy Fox & Friends blog and enter your project for a chance to win a prize.  While you are there you can check out all the fab creations from the design team!

Thanks for Looking!
