Friendship -The Project Bin

I have noticed that cross stitch on cards is popping up!  There are stamps that look like cross stitch and dies so that you can actually cross stitch a pattern on your card. I loved to cross stitch when my eyes were young!  I used a very fine material because of course I have to make everything as difficult for myself as I can!  I don't have many pieces because I gave so many away but what I do have are striking.  I just don't have the patience or the eyes for it anymore.

I came across this paper in my stash when my daughter asked for some paper to make a collage for a school project and thought it would be perfect for a friendship card and right on trend with the cross stitch card craze!  The design idea came from SC691 at Splitcoaststampers.

For today's card I am featuring a sentiment from one of my favorite sets #bff  by The Project Bin#bff is one of my favorite friendship stamp sets.

I am entering this in Word Art Wednesday's anything goes challenge!  The Project Bin is one of the sponsors this week.  The challenge is almost over buy you still have today to play so I hope you will check out the Word Art Wednesday Challenge.

  1. Beautiful card. I only did cross stitch once. I did it on a baby blanket when I was pregnant with my first child. That was enough for me. LOL I like the idea of stamping it instead. Love how this card turned out. Blessings.

  2. This is really pretty! And yes, it reminds me of my cross-stitch days too. And, like you, I very few pictures to show my work. I gave most of it away. I stopped too because of these OLD eyes of mine...
But, also because it sometimes took me months to finish a project. I like the instant gratification of making a greeting card. It takes a lot less time to make a card! (although I have been know to spend many days on making just ONE card! smile
