Pink, Blue and a Little Something More - Picket Fence Studios Release Day

It's Picket Fence Release Day and what a lot of fun we have to share with you!

First up is the darling Artist Dear set.  The dog is a separate stamp included in the set so you can place him anywhere you wish in your design.  My artist is deep in thought about her current masterpiece.  To show what she is picturing in her mind I stamped the bird on a word bubble!

With this card, I am also celebrating this week's Featured Stamper at SCS!  Congratulations Trudy!

Next up I am featuring the beautiful Paper Cranes 4x4 stamp.  What is cool about the Picket Fence Studios 4x4 stamps is that they have continuing edges. Therefore they can be lined up to stamp full backgrounds.  For this card, I wanted just a left-sided border so I lined up the stamp end to end.  An added benefit to the 4x4 stamps is a lower price point than a full background stamp.  For the sentiment, I used one of my favorite thank you stamps sets.  I adore this set because it comes with several different sizes of Thank Yous and then dozens of small-sized reasons for thanks! For a finishing touch, I added a sprinkling of Spiked Cider Sequins.

And lastly, I created a lovely ocean scene with the new Cresting Wave stamp.  I really had fun with this scene.  I stamped the wave first and I have to tell you that it made my little CAS heart smile to see the dark waves on the white paper.  I almost didn't color it!  :)  I brushed on just a bit of Faded Jeans Distress Oxide on the lower portion of the waves with my Life Changing Blender Brushes. (currently on sale!) or Bundled with a Stencil.  Then I spritzed just a hint of water and blotted it with a soft cloth.  Next, I used the cloud masks from Layers of Clouds stencil and brushed a bit of sky around the clouds.  I was careful to keep it lighter than the waves.  Again I spritzed with just a hint of water.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Bluebonnet set

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a deeply restful Sunday!

  1. What fabulously lovely cards, dear Angie. My sweet pup (Annie) is curled up on the couch beside me as I type these words and I cannot help but think that we're both in total agreement regarding the first card's endearing sentiment. 🐶
