Such a Gift to Me

It's Saturday and that means it's time for this week's Inspiration Challenge.  Stacy is our hostess and she is taking us to one of her Pinterest boards.  She has chosen beautiful ornaments to inspire us this week.  I needed a thank you card so I used the colors on this box of ornaments as my inspiration.

I used the Elegant Aster stamp set by Gina K Designs and the Die set to cut the beautiful butterfly.  For the background, I cut a piece of this amazing paper from the elegant Parisian Garden paper stack.  Not only is Gina K patterned paper beautiful it also has a luxurious feel to it!

Gina K Designs also has a sale going on this weekend!

You are Lovely

Happy Friday!
So it was my turn to post on the Picket Fence Studios Blog today!  You can click the link for a full look at the card but here is a sneak peek.

I am also entering this week's Inspiration Challenge at SCSHere's my card which includes a link to the photo that inspired it.

First, I placed the rose stencil on cardstock, then I added distress inks with Life-Changing Blender Brushes. (check below for the Blender Brush Sale!)  Easy Peasy with a beautiful end result!  Once I was home I added the lovely foil impressions sentiment.  And lastly, I heat embossed just part of a sentiment from the Houndstooth set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Below you will find all the products I used today including the full Blender Brush set which includes a free stencil!

Morning Coffee

It's my turn to host the Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

I created my card thinking about how much I miss my girl on the weekends!  :)  She made coffee every day for us but it's weekend mornings when I miss her and coffee the most!  We would get up later in the morning and enjoy a fun breakfast and yummy coffee together.  I enjoy a little bit of rich roast coffee with my cream and sugar and on a holiday a dollop of whipped cream is terrific!   Since she left for college I decided to switch to tea as I am reducing the sugar and dairy in my diet. I don't take sugar or cream in my tea so it's been a fairly easy switch, except for the weekends!

All of the dies on this card come from Impression Obsession and are listed below!

IO Challenge - Merry Christmas Wishes

It's time for a new Impression Obsession Challenge and this time our theme is Holiday Wishes.

I created a watercolor background then I die cut the top layer with the Aspen & Pine Forest die.  The die is so interesting because of the intricate details and it makes for an easy card.  Easy is nice when creating holiday cards!  Lastly, I finished off the card with the Merry Christmas sentiment.

I Fish You Were Here

It's time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  Stacy is our host this week and our inspiration is a fashion site.  Splitcoaststampers is a free site and everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

This super cute fish image and sentiment is from the newly released One Year Older set.  The coordinating dies make it so fun to add a fish to a busy background!  I would not want to fussy cut all the little fishy fins and curls.

The background was made by placing the Waffle Squares stencil in watercolor. It's one of those techniques that requires patience but once dry feels a bit like magic!

Designing with Watercolor Powders

It's Picket Fence Studios Release Day and all of my samples feature watercolor powders!

I went on the most amazing adventure a few weeks ago.  I flew to TX and went to Lydia's UNWIND stamping retreat.  After being at the retreat I totally understand phrases about being with your "TRIBE".  There just isn't anything quite so special as hanging out with people that "get you".   We had so much fun learning new things and laughing when they didn't quite work as they were meant to.  I will probably remember laughing at my technique failures long after I forget what the technique actually was!  But today I am not going to share with you the failures, funny as that might be.  Instead, here are a few watercolor powder projects that turned out beautifully.

First up I used this gorgeous tile stencil and watercolor powders to create this amazing background.  The sentiment die is just right to celebrate someone and at the same time, it doesn't compete with the background.

This ART set is amazing which includes most of the art tools stampers use every day!  The Coordinating Die set allows for quick and easy cutting of all the intricate corners on the tools of the artist's trade, making it a must-have!
Since I need to make quite a few "thank yous"  I added a sentiment from the neighborhood.  My need for thank you cards coincides perfectly with the Free 4 All challenge this week!

This next background was created with Lydia's "Hurricane" background technique.  I added the journal and thought the adorable squirrel would be a hoot hanging upside down from the pad.  This super cute set also has a coordinating die set!

25 Days of Christmas Tags!

I am thrilled to be part of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog hop which includes prizes!!

I had so much fun creating my tag with fun elements from Picket Fence Studios!  The background was created by inking this fun stencil and spritzing it with water.  Next, I die cut the glass and sponged on delicious color with my Life Changing Blender Brushes.  I stamped the cute candy canes and holly from this sweet Christmas set and used coordinating dies to cut them out.  Lastly, I foiled the Falalalalaaa for a festive sentiment.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags isn't just about inspiration there are prizes to be won too!
First off, make sure to comment on my post to be eligible for one of the prizes.  Next, make sure to stop by In My Creative Opinion Blog for ALL the details and many ways to be eligible to win a prize!  A special Link-up page can be found on the 1st day!

Old is New - Blue for Thanksgiving

Today is Old is New day at Impression Obsession which means the DT is sharing projects featuring older stamps.  I fell in love with this adorable Fall mouse and couldn't wait to add color!   I added this pretty Thanksgiving sentiment to finish off this Autumn card.

You can find a full list of the DT participating in this week's Old is New Showcase on the Impression Obsession blog.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches for the card design.
