Hello!  Happy Saturday!  I hope you have a lovely day planned!  

Today, I am playing along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  I found a flowy dress in one of my favorite color tones, you can find the link to the photo in my SCS Gallery.  

I enjoy trying different styles but my favorite style is a CAS card so I kept this simple and let the flowers take center stage.  My tip for the day, look at your die sets!  The banner I used on this card comes from of all things, the Snowman Accessories die set!  I love how it adds just a little something extra!  Here is what I used on today's card:

Large Sentiments for IO Old is New Day

Hello!  It's Old is New Day at Impression Obsession!  To see what all the designers have created you can head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for links!

I reached only as far back as the beginning of the year for my "older" stamps.  I just love the sweet Peony Pattern Square for smaller backgrounds.  If you love Cover-a-Card backgrounds you can also get the Peony Pattern in the larger 5.75 x 5.75-inch size!  Next, I stamped the Good Day sentiment directly onto the background.  Lastly, I added a Stitched Tag for added interest in the background.

I hope you have been enjoying my little bonus cards on Wednesdays.  I have one to share again this week.  We are painting sailboats this week for the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge.  I painted the sailboat scene and then added a sentiment from The Skinny!  The Skinny is a great set for everyday sayings!

Birthday Balloons with the MISTI

Hello everyone!  Today, I am over on the My Sweet Petunia blog with this fun birthday balloon project.    

I use my MISTIs with every project but there are times when it's absolutely invaluable such as stamping with large solid stamps.  I stamped Sweet Petunia Pink Ink on a piece of cardstock but didn't like the results so I wiped the stamp then added Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers.  I was delighted to find that the stamp held onto some of the Sweet Petunia Pink ink!  Since I used the Mini MISTI, I repeatedly stamped the balloon, adding ink and water until I was satisfied with the look. I switched to the Original MISTI and added the balloon strings then back to the Mini for the sentiment!   I love it when I can rescue my mistakes so that is what I did with the bright pink balloon.   I die-cut two banners from the original balloon and added them to this card.

Longest Coffee Break

Watercolor Wednesday Doodle

Hello!  It's Watercolor Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers and we are painting abstracts and doodling.  I painted an abstract with Daniel Smith, Cerulean Blue, Phthalo Blue, and Pthalo Green.  It sort of ended up looking like an alien. But maybe I had aliens on the brain because my husband and I watched, Tomorrow War this weekend.  By the time I doodled over the watercolor the alien disappeared.  I am not happy with my doodles.  I need a thinner gold pen but I used what I had.  I finished off the card with the Thank You die from Impression Obsession.
