Black and Teal MISTI Magic

 Hello, everyone, I am featuring a couple of cards today on the My Sweet Petunia Blog.  In previous posts I have mentioned how much I love having more than one MISTI; today, I will show why.

In my new Teal MISTI, I stamped the sentiment.  

In the Black MISTI, I stamped leaves randomly around the sentiment.  

The first card I created with this method is the orange one pictured below.  Because the sentiment stamp was still in the first MISTI, it was easy to create another card inspired by the TEAL MISTI!  :)

A Free 4 All with Dies

This week for the Free 4 All Challenge at SCS we are creating with dies!  

I had a lot of fun mixing up some Christmas cheer with the new Mixer Die set.  The background is scored and then swiped with an ink pad.  Then, I die-cut the Tag With Lace from a piece of Homespun Floral Christmas paper.  Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Baking set onto a Rounded Rectangle Layer.  To finish off the card, I created a bow with the Small Layered Bow.   Fun and easy!

Christmas Treats & More for Day 2 - IO October Release & Giveaway Hop

Hello, and welcome to Day 2 of the Impression Obsession October Release Blog Hop!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's Release samples! I had so much fun featuring Christmas and birthday cards yesterday that I am back today with more Christmas and birthday! You can find the blog hop details listed below.

I cannot lie, I love creating coffee cards, and Impression Obsession has a wide array of coffee dies to choose from.  There is even a small coffee cup in this month's Seasonal Cupcake Topper Die set! I decided to feature the Coffee To Go set on this card.  First, I created a background by ink-blending the center.  Then I splattered it with water. Next, I added a trio of Country Snowflakes.  Lastly, the fun Christmas Coffee Saying was stamped onto a Rounded Rectangle Layer.  

Next, I am featuring the jumbo Cupcake die set.  This die set offers loads of possibilities.  I made a Christmas cupcake paper from the Homespun Christmas Paper pack.  Then I added die-cut pieces from the Seasonal Cupcake Topper Die set. I   used this sentiment from the Christmas Baking set because I love watching Christmas movies!  Once again, I stamped the sentiment on a Rounded Rectangle Layer.     

This last card features many of the items used on my previous card. Are you as hungry for a cupcake as I am?  The fun thing about paper cupcakes is that they are zero calories.  Also, they are easier to create than baking cupcakes, in my opinion!   Here's what I used for this cupcake creation!

I had a ball with the new Chicken Christmas Sayings sentiment set!  The sentiment set has 5 punny sayings and two small images; perfect for the bird lover in your life!   First, I die-cut the One Cute Chick. I added a few details with a marker and gel pen.  Next, I gave him a Jingle Bell to hold. I chose a piece of patterned paper from the Homespun Christmas Paper Pack for the background. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on a Rounded Rectangle Layer and adhered it to the base. 

Birthdays are among my favorite days to celebrate; what better way to celebrate than with a handmade card?  To create this bright birthday card, I stamped the Bubbles background stamp on bright yellow cardstock.  Next, I stamped the candles from Make a Wish on Postage Cuts.  Lastly, I fussy cut the sentiment and added enamel dots.

Autumn Blessings - IO Theme Day

Hello friends, this month's Theme at IO is Fall Fun!  I love watching the leaves flutter to the ground in October.  It reminds me of many fun camping trips my husband and I have taken over the years.  Our favorite time to camp is the Fall.  :)

To create this card, I stamped the leaves from Fall Sayings in one color ink and then added another color to the edges. To add a decorative edge, I  used the Border Stitching Die. The inks I used on the leaves were IO Sienna, Golden Rod, Orange, and Cherry.

Hello, it's an exciting week here as we prepare for the wedding of our firstborn!  One thing I love about the art of cardmaking is that I can tailor my card to the recipient.  My future daughter-in-law loves daisies so I created a unique card for her.
