The background for this next card sat in my stash for several years. After mixing the Distress Inks, I decided it looked too much like a crime scene! Fast forward a few years, and now I have the perfect sentiment for the background!

This card features:

After making a bit of a mess of a scene with Piglet and Eeyore, I fussy-cut them and framed them! I really like how this second edition turned out!

Large Sentiments for IO Old is New Day

**Affiliate links used when possible which gives me a small commission with no charge to you!**

Hello!  It's Old is New Day at Impression Obsession!  To see what all the designers have created you can head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for links!

I reached only as far back as the beginning of the year for my "older" stamps.  I just love the sweet Peony Pattern Square for smaller backgrounds.  If you love Cover-a-Card backgrounds you can also get the Peony Pattern in the larger 5.75 x 5.75-inch size!  Next, I stamped the Good Day sentiment directly onto the background.  Lastly, I added a Stitched Tag for added interest in the background.

I hope you have been enjoying my little bonus cards on Wednesdays.  I have one to share again this week.  We are painting sailboats this week for the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge.  I painted the sailboat scene and then added a sentiment from The Skinny!  The Skinny is a great set for everyday sayings!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

January IO Favorites Hop & Giveaway

Hello!  Welcome to the new Impression Obsession Favorites Hop!   I think it's going to be a blast seeing what the team favorites are for January! Not only is it going to be fun to check out the favorites but there will be prizes given away too!  Check out all the details listed below!

It's always hard to choose a favorite but the next two cards are among my favorites.  The first is the fun Crayon Element and the Sit in Silence sentiment.  There are a lot of different ways to use the Crayon Element stamp but I think it's fun to use it as a rainbow.  I added a cat from the Cat Set because there is nothing sweeter than having my cat on my lap while I am playing on my phone.  :)  By the way in our house having a cat on the lap gets you service!  "can you please get me a drink? I have the cat on my lap."  Doesn't matter who you are, one of us will serve the other when the elderly cat is on a lap!  :)  Of course, this sentiment could also be used for a significant other!  It's nice to hang out with my husband in silence and play on the phone!  Today we celebrate 31 years.  It's pretty cool after a year like we just had, that we can say, we would still rather be with one another than anyone else!

Next up, I stamped this lovely Together in Love sentiment on a Postage Stamp Cuts.  I added the sweet flower from the versatile Ribbon Box set.  I think the Ribbon Box is such a great value because there are so many ways to create with it!

Both of my favorites cards were inspired by this week's Art Nudge #43.
My colors are a little different but both cards are descriptive of the photo.  Togetherness, closeness, just plain hanging out together.

Now for the fun Hop Details: We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession Grab Bags - so the more you comment through our Favorites Hop the more chances to win! Comments will be open until Monday, January 18th at midnight CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 19th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

The new stamps are available now! You can find them all HERE.

Next up is the super talented Anna Wight.  If you started the hop at my place, make sure that one of your stops is the Impression Obsession Blog!  :)  Good luck and thanks so much for stopping by!

Journey

It's Friday!  I am the hostess for the F4ALL Challenge this week.  I am ready to leave Christmas decorations behind and brighten things up with flowers so I decided on flowers and hearts as today's challenge theme. We would love to have you join us at Splitcoaststampers and create with Flowers and Hearts!

As we finish up the first week of 2021, with a whole year ahead of us, I thought this Journey sentiment from Impression Obsession was especially appropriate.  As we make plans let not a stumble be the end of our journeys!  I framed the sentiment with this pretty Heart Frame and placed it on a base stamped with the delicate Peony Pattern.

Thanks so much for stopping by and may this year be filled with peace and resilience!

Hugs!

Big Hugs for Impression Obsession Die-Cut Day

Hi!  Welcome to Die-Cut Day at Impression Obsession!
I am excited to share two stamps from the January release along with two older dies. I stamped the Cover-a-Card Wrapped Ribbon stamp and then added lots of distress ink to the background.  Next, I spritzed the whole piece and die cut with the Large Frame.  For the inside, I stamped Big Hugs.  This stamp is as good as its name, it's big!  :)  To finish off the card I added some flowers from the Black-Eyed Susan set.

Alrighty!  :)  Now head on over to the Impression Obsession Blog and see what the other designers have prepared to inspire you!

Thank you for stopping by!  Sending you Big Hugs and wishes for a safe January!

Also if you would like to take a look all of the January Release Stamps can be found HERE.

I have a little bonus card for today.  I drew the cup and watercolored it for Watercolor Wednesday.  I made it into a card by adding Life is Sweet! IO has so many beautiful sentiments that are just right for any occasion!

Impression Obsession Release Day 2 Celebration - Love You Always

Welcome to Day 2 of the Impression Obsession January 2021 Release Celebration!

I hope you had the chance to stop by yesterday and if not make sure to go back and comment for a chance to win!   Impression Obsession always releases beautiful sentiments and the January Release is no exception!

I used Love You Always and the Quilted Frame for a striking sentiment card.

Next, up I created a beautiful basket overflowing with flowers with the Ribbon Box Set.  I can't say enough about how fun this set is!  There are so many different ways to create with it.  There is a border stamp that can be used in countless ways, here I used it as a wooden table.

I am also playing along with this week's Inspiration Challenge.
