Caffeinate and Hope for the Best

Hello, everyone!

Today I’m sharing a card featuring the adorably sleepy kitty from the Pajama Power stamp set—part of the brand-new June release from Pajama Crafter Stamps! This charming set includes a fun mix of images and sentiments, making it a must-have for playful, personality-packed cards.

I created this project for the Splitcoaststampers CAS Challenge, where we're celebrating “June is Adopt a Cat Month.” Naturally, I couldn’t resist this drowsy feline, cozied up with her pink mug. The sentiment had me laughing—"I don't rise and shine; I caffeinate and hope for the best." Who can’t relate? Since this is a CAS card I didn't add a lot to the design. However, I die-cut one of the card borders with the Stitched Scalloped Border to add a dash of interest to the design. 

I’m also honoring this week’s Featured Stamper, Lisa. One of her most recent gallery entries inspired me—a sweet black kitty card that made me smile the moment I saw it. Thanks for the creative spark, Lisa!

I am a huge fan of coffee cards so I was excited to order the Coffee Delight set.  I am so excited to have this fun set after hand drawing a mug last year for Watercolor Wednesday!  The set includes a cup and saucer plus 3 toppings and much more.  At the end of this post, I have included a photo of the full set! 

  I stamped the mug first and masked the handle, then I stamped the saucer.  A friend surprised me with Arches watercolor paper last week so I couldn't wait to use it! 

Next, I love creating with art-themed images so the Seasonal Palette is a favorite of mine!  I am playing along with an SCS Challenge that requires us to keep it light with only one layer and a base.  There are lots of things to love about this set and you can view it below!

Coffee for November IO Team Favorites HOP & Giveaway

I love pretty mugs of tea or coffee and I also enjoy the theme for cardmaking!   I stamped the Vine Circle on cardstock and then used the Big Mug Die to cut it out.  The sentiment is from Coffee Mug Sayings and lastly, I cut a background from the Crazy Stitched Set.  

I love a CAS card and one of my favorite things to do is to color just part of an image.  I took one of Lindsay's journaling stamps, Look Inside, and added the
Daisy.

May IO Favorite - Adventure Coffee!

Welcome to the Impression Obsession May 2021 Release Team Favorites Hop!

Today at Impression Obsession, we are sharing our favorite projects from this month’s release!

This card is fairly simple but there is just so much that is my favorite about it!  I really love how the navy and kraft look together for one thing.  But what I really got a kick out of, was that the new Texture Stamp looks like Blue Speckled Camping Dishes when stamped in blue on the mugs from Thermos and Mugs Die Set!  My next favorite thing is the Tag With Reinforcement, I really love how the reinforcement has an open space at the top to easily run twine or thin ribbon through for an easy bow!   I also used the Crazy Stitched Frame.  This is one of my favorite ways to add a background.  I have used this die over and over since its release some time ago.  Lastly, I added Adventure Coffee, I mean, it's a coffee sentiment so you know, it's a favorite!  :)

Impression Obsession May Release - Under the Stars & Giveaway

Welcome back to the Impression Obsession May 2021 Release Celebration!

With my cards today, we are headed under the stars!  I heat embossed both the Stars background and the Moon (this is a fun set featuring 2 phases of the moon) for the first card.  I used ink smooshing for the sky and Copic coloring on the Hammock Time image.  I think this is such a fun image because my husband doesn't take a tent when he backpacks, he uses a specialty backpacking hammock.  :) Lastly, I used the Congrats sentiment.  

For my next card, I made a similar background to the one above.  I used the Stars Background then angled the layer.  Next, I die cut the adorable Thermos and Mugs and added Coffee Under the Stars.  

What is a camping trip without yummy smores?  Well, honestly, I don't eat smores but they sure are fun to create for a card!  Funny story, we went camping with friends once and during campfire time our daughter threw marshmallows into the fire.  The friend looked at her and in a gruff voice said, "we don't throw marshmallows in the fire!".  Our poor little girl's face fell but then my husband stepped in and said, "actually we do!"  Since we only end up eating like maybe one marshmallow, we found that it was more fun to throw them in the fire one at a time! So when you toss a marshmallow into a fire they sort of increase in size and twist around making different shapes.  It's very entertaining and when you toss them in one at a time the entertainment can last all night!  haha!

Everything's Coming up Coffee!

 Hello!  I am hosting the Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week! The Guest Designers and I decided on flowers as our theme!   I was pondering this adorable new Coffee Garden sentiment when all of a sudden the "Coffee Garden" part jumped out at me and I was in giggles thinking of having a flowering coffee cup garden!  I combined the coffee cup from the Snowman Accessories and the Flowers & Leaves Die Sets.  I imagine this is your first time seeing coffee cup flowers and it will probably be your last!  You're welcome for the free Friday giggle!
