Pink Roses - January IO Kit Hop & Giveaway Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the January Kit Hop!

I love the sweet rose bouquet.  I can imagine stamping this on mini note cards.  This image would also look great on envelopes!

For this next card, I used distress ink for the color and left the image in black and white.

So Sweet

Hello!  This week our Featured Stamper at SCS is Cindy!  I always enjoy coming across her cards.  I had to play along when I saw her adorable valentine in the gallery.  If you want to check out her cute inspiration head HERE to my SCS Gallery and follow the link.

This was fun to color and because of its large size I really didn't need to do anything extra to it.  I used Chocolate Heart Box and a sentiment from the Chocolate Lovers set.

You're so sweet for stopping by and I thank you!

From the Heart for Old is New Day

Hello, today the Impression Obsession team is showcasing older stamps and dies in a new way!

This month's Old is New post is from the heart.  Since I have pulled out all the stops to share several cards, I will not keep you waiting!

First up you are on my Heart & Mind.  I randomly stamped the Brush Heart for the background.  I used the Stitched Tag and added the small tags from the Tags with Tags set.

Secondly, I have Blessings in blue.  To create the gorgeous background I added Distress Oxide inks to the Leather kaleidoscope background stamp and spritzed with water.

Next, I call this Savage Respect.  Each word was individually stamped to create this card.  The stamps are perfect for journaling as well as various other creative projects.  I added three dragonflies to finish this off.

Lastly, I made a card from the heart to work out some emotions.  The sweet girl is Dream Big and the sentiment is Stay Strong.

I hope you enjoyed viewing these projects showcasing stamps from last year!  Now don't forget to hop on over to the Impression Obsession Blog and check out what the rest of the team has created for OLD is NEW Day!

IO August Release Favorites - Stuff Happens

Hello and welcome to the Impression Obsession August Release Team Favorites Hop!  This is one of my favorite days because I get to share a favorite of all my work for the month!  (See Hop details below!)   This shroom is such a ... fungi to no line color.  Seriously, I thought "fun guy" and then realized I had a pun on my hand!  He REALLY is fun to no line color because he is not overly detailed.  The face and hands are optional and are included in the Mushrooms Happen set.

We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession Grab Bags - so the more you comment through our Favorites Hop the more chances to win! Comments will be open until Monday, August 23rd at midnight CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, August 24th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

To see all of the new stamps and dies, including lots of veggie dies, stop by HERE.

Once again, I have a bonus card.  This one does not have a face and features a slightly older stamp.  This is for Watercolor Wednesday.  I created an inky background with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Carved Pumpkin Ink spritzed with water.  Once dried I stamped the Wildflower Heart Wreath in the same inks.  Next, I added just a hint of texture by randomly stamping Shiplap on the card.  Lastly, I splattered the card with acrylic paint and water.  The sentiment is Make Joy.  I am also playing along with another DTGD Challenge with this!

Thanks so much for looking!

Faith, Hope, & Love for IO Die-Cut Day

Hello!  It's Die-Cut Day at Impression Obsession today.

Don't you just hate it when you run out of time for projects?  The February IO Release included several scripty sentiments and lots of hearts so my plan was to make about 4 cards similar but showing the different sentiments.  Best laid plans and all that, I ended up with only one card but I love the clean lines and bright pop of color.  For a look at all the wonderful items in the Impression Obsession Store click HERE.

It's Die-Cut Day at Impression Obsession so head on over to the IO Blog to see the list of participants featuring beautiful Impression Obsession dies!

This week the Art Nudge #61 photo prompt is S'mores so I am playing along with this card.  The S'mores die set is such fun to use and I love how the road texture adds a little something extra to the background!

I Love You

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's Wednesday and that means it is time for a new Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and I am hosting this week!  I found a tutorial for painting a heart and thought it would be fun to give it a try.

I wasn't comfortable with my drawing skills so I die cut a heart for a pattern.  I don't actually have a nesting set of hearts but I do have this sweet Eyelet Primitive Heart set from Impression Obsession.  I just cut off the scallops for my pattern.  I painted my heart in warm Daniel Smith watercolors which was a gift from my sweet friend Janeen.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Skinny Words set.

All are welcome at Splitcoaststampers from beginner to expert and it's a free site!   We would love for you to join us!

Picket Fence Studios Release Day and Romance!

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Hi!  It's time for the new Picket Fence Studios Release!  There is so much to love in this release!  Without meaning to I have a bit of a romance theme going on today. A mixed media heart, a wedding cake and a vacation spot!

First up is this amazing You or Wifi island set.  I added puffy clouds with the beautiful Layers of Clouds Stencil.  I love this stencil because of all the different ways I can create clouds.

Next up is the new wedding set, To The Lovely Couple.  That cake!  Oh my!  I had so much fun coloring this yummy cake.  The color combo was chosen for a special wedding I am attending later this year.  I hope they love the card as much as I enjoyed creating it for them.

And lastly, I went mixed media with the amazing Spliced Heartfire Burst Stencil.  First, I added gesso to mixed media paper.  Then I rubbed gelato over the front.  After it was dry I stenciled Golden Rose Paper Glaze. Once the glaze was dry I went around the heart stencil with a scribbles crayon (thank you Ceal for giving away the prize you won at Retreat, I am enjoying the Scribbles!) I activated the crayon with water and once that was dried I added some distress ink and sprinkled it with water.  Lastly, I added just the word "faith" from a sentiment in the Exhale Worry set.

I have included this in the Free 4 All Challenge at SCS.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
