 Hello!

It's my turn to host the Free 4 All at Splitcoaststampers.  This week we have decided on Fruits and/or Veggies as our challenge.

I used a lot of little accessories to make this card so check out your die sets to see what you might have to create some great scenes.  I have listed below what I used on this card; some of these sets might be just what you need for scene building!

Watercolor Wednesday - A Lighthouse

Hello!  Here is my edition of Watercolor Wednesday!  We are painting lighthouses this week.  Since the tutorial uses a traceable photo to get us started, I figured why not use a stamp this week?  I have only two lighthouse stamps to choose from after stamping for 10 years. I would have thought I would have more!  LOL! I located both stamps which, I am proud of because I haven't used either one in at least 9 years.  I am sort of stunned that I was able to lay my hands on both stamps in a matter of minutes!  I settled on this image & sentiment from a Mark's Finest Papers set.  Sadly MFP is now out of business but I not only still have the stamps, but I also have wonderful friendships from my time on the DT.

To follow the video and join us for you to join us for the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge at SCS click HERE.

After I glued my painting to the card base, I placed the card in my Mini MISTI for perfect sentiment alignment.  This was a very relaxing and enjoyable practice.

IO August Release Favorites - Stuff Happens

Hello and welcome to the Impression Obsession August Release Team Favorites Hop!  This is one of my favorite days because I get to share a favorite of all my work for the month!  (See Hop details below!)   This shroom is such a ... fungi to no line color.  Seriously, I thought "fun guy" and then realized I had a pun on my hand!  He REALLY is fun to no line color because he is not overly detailed.  The face and hands are optional and are included in the Mushrooms Happen set.

We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession Grab Bags - so the more you comment through our Favorites Hop the more chances to win! Comments will be open until Monday, August 23rd at midnight CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, August 24th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

To see all of the new stamps and dies, including lots of veggie dies, stop by HERE.

Once again, I have a bonus card.  This one does not have a face and features a slightly older stamp.  This is for Watercolor Wednesday.  I created an inky background with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Carved Pumpkin Ink spritzed with water.  Once dried I stamped the Wildflower Heart Wreath in the same inks.  Next, I added just a hint of texture by randomly stamping Shiplap on the card.  Lastly, I splattered the card with acrylic paint and water.  The sentiment is Make Joy.  I am also playing along with another DTGD Challenge with this!

Thanks so much for looking!

Another One Inspired by my Daughter's Painting

Hello! This Jeanne has chosen Jungle Fever for the Free 4 All Challenge.  If you stopped by earlier this week you might have seen a card that was inspired by a painting my daughter created for me.  Here is another card that was directly inspired by the painting!  I even add a few blue flowers because she painted some blue flowers in her jungle.

Here is what I used:

Here is the painting by my daughter.

A Forest Critter Hi!

Hello! I am up on the My Sweet Petunia Blog today!  I love creating scenes with cute die-cuts but I don't enjoy cranking out all the pieces I need.  It can take quite a bit of time to make sure the images are die-cut perfectly and I am always impatient to get to the creative part!  Check out the My Sweet Petunia Blog for the step-by-step instructions on making die-cut scenes easy!

I die-cut the Picket Fence Studios Tree from Bristol paper then I sprinkled Dark Brown Brushos on the tree trunk and a bit on the branches.  Then I activated the powder with water.  Next, I stamped Sweet Petunia Pink ink on my craft mat and spritzed it with water. I tapped the leaves of the tree through the bright pink ink and I did the same with Mustard Seed Yellow ink, more pink ink, and even tapped some of the brown Brushos on the leaves until I was happy with the color.  The background sky was blended with Life-Changing Blender Brushes.  The critters came from the Forest Critters Stopping by to Say Hi set and the Coordinating Die Set.  Also, the gorgeous Tree is greatly reduced right now so it's a great time to snap it up!

I used both the MISTI, the Mini MISTI, and the Cut-Align ruler for today's
 project.

I am also playing along with Sharon's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge.  I am also playing along with today's Ways To Use It Challenge to use something from your home as inspiration.  This painting was done by my daughter and hangs in my art room!

IO Die-Cut Day - Food

**Affiliate links used when possible at no cost to you, which means when you click a link and buy I receive a small commission! Thank you!**

Hello!  Welcome to Die-cut Day at Impression Obsession!  Ice cream is a passion of mine!  I love ice cream but not just any ice cream.  It can't be the cheap stuff puffed with air and fake cream. Bleck!  No, only the most expensive stuff appeals to me!  We have a local shop called Rock Salt Milk Bar and oh my, is that the most delicious!  Ok, I am going to stop talking about ice cream now, I am making myself really hungry!  Here's what I used for this dreamy treat:

And speaking of ice cream, the Art Nudge this week is a sweet treat prompt!  You can check out Art Nudge #71 HERE.

I am also playing along with Ann's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge.

Stop on by the Impression Obsession Blog for a list of all the designers participating in this month's Die Cut Obsession!

Also, you might want to check out these cute faces to stick on your ice cream cones and veggies

Feel free to browse ALL of the NEW items HERE.

Here is my Bonus card this week.  This is for Watercolor Wednesday and a Dare to Get Dirty Challenge at SCS.  I did not like my attempts at following the tutorial this week.  Only this flower turned out so I cropped it and used the Postage Cuts Die to frame it.  A little gold thread for embellishment and done.
