Faith

Hello!  Angie, here today with a card to share combining two stamp sets, Faith and Parisian Postcard
One of my sweet friends and I get together as often as possible to hang out at the bookstore enjoying books, good conversation and drinking coffee!  We shop together, and eat out from time to time as well but our favorite thing to do is the bookstore and coffee!  On Sunday we had one of our bookstore visits and she shared with me the sad news that she may have cancer.  We both shed tears as we chatted.

As I added layers of color to this card I kept thinking of our conversation and her words of Faith. My friend shared her thoughts with me, that she knew none of this was a surprise to God.  Her Faith was secure because she knows WHO holds her future.

As I added the finishing touches on this card I received a text from my friend.  Although her levels are high and she will need to go on meds there is no sign of cancer!!!  What a delight to pour my heart and prayers into this card and then to receive such happy news just before placing my butterfly as the finishing touch!!!

Hello!

Hello!
This week we are enjoying a little staycation! DH and DD headed out to Callaway Gardens today.  Brrrrr!  It's a bit too chilly for me to walk the gardens so I stayed behind and played a bit!

I used Sweet N Sassy Stamps Speech Bubbles Die and Keep in Touch, Too stamp set to create a fun graphic style card.

The Speech Bubbles  vary in size and shape to accommodate a large variety of sentiments. The Keep in Touch, Too stamp set  has so many fun fonts and sentiments that they can be used for numerous projects!

I played along with Splitcoaststampers CC518 Lullaby for my color palette.

When I went to photograph my card today, my camera didn't work, so I am trying out a different camera today from the iphone, whatcha think?

TFL and have a great day!

I hope you were able to stop by and see the new Spring goodies PPRS showcased during the Hop last week!  One of the many things I love about PPRS is that they continue to add new stamp sets to coordinate with existing dies so today I am sharing a new image from CLR033C Flourished Oval Sentiment.   It  coordinates beautifully with  PPRS-D033 Flourished Oval Die.  For a bit of embellishment I added a butterfly from

PPRS Spring Blog Hop Day 2!

Happy Valentine's Day and welcome to Day 2 of Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Hop!

This is the beautiful prize package being offered for this Hop and all you have to do for your chance to win is comment on the blogs listed at the bottom of the posts (including mine) each day of the hop!  The winner will be announced February 23!

I thought this beautiful GG0209 Graphic Flower would be perfect to share on Valentine's day as it has three small hearts as part of the image!    The image reminds me of a zentangle flower without having to do the work of tangling!  :)  I can never quite get to the zen part of tangling because I try too hard to get the tangles perfect so this flower is my idea of fun and I get the zen from coloring!  :)  I used the new
DD0231 Happy Spring 3 and separated the sentiment. I couldn't resist adding the little butterfly using PPRS-D023 Mini Butterflies Die and CLR023A Mini Butterflies 2 Clear Stamp Set.

I couldn't resist adding the

A colorful bug

Hello!
Angie here to share with you a card using the super fun set Get Well Critters!

I just love the little jar that comes with this set!  It's such a great size and can be filled with this eight legged bug, the flying bug or it could be filled with whatever you dream up!

I couldn't resist playing along with both CAS311 and TLC520 for my design.  I just love EF stamping and combined with the CAS challenge to add a rainbow of colors it made a cheerful background for my colorful bug!

Lucky Charm

 Hello!

Angie, here with a paper doll dress making tutorial!
A month ago for "PPRS Monday Inspiration" I shared the sweet PPRS retro girl: JJ0085 Hanging an Ornament.  I changed her from a Christmas image to a pretty in pink valentine and mentioned that perhaps next time we saw her she would go green.  I had several comments asking for a little more instruction on how I put together her skirt so today I thought I would share a little tutorial on the skirt making.

I inked up the stamp and then placed a strip of washi tape over the ornament to "mask" it off  and stamped image on white CS.

I stamped two skirts on patterned paper, added highlights to the skirt by watercoloring with distress inks and cut them out.

I colored the image and drew a line so that our girl could dangle the "Lucky Charm" sentiment.  I got lost in the moment and colored the skirt with distress inks and water totally forgetting that it would be  be covered up by the second layer!

Next, I flipped the second skirt over and and added double sided tape.

I adhered the tulle, pleating it just a bit as I went across the skirt.

I added glue to the top of the waist and slightly down the sides stopping when I came to the tulle then adhered it to first layer of skirt.

Check out all the fun dimension!

The sentiment is from CLR013D Scalloped Circle Oval 5.  I stamped and cut out three of the little clover from the clover circle included in the same set and adhered them to the sentiment then I stamped and die cut the bow from sets: CLR036 Stocking clear setPPRS-D036 Stocking Die Set,
The background layer was created by using the clover circle from   CLR036 Stocking clear set.

There we have it.  This cutie can do a whole lot more than just "hang an ornament"!
Thanks for looking!!!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Cured Yet?

Cured Yet?  This sentiment cracks me up paired with this cute little pig image!  This time of year it seems that many of our friends are sick with illnesses that hang on and on, so I hope this will give the recipient a chuckle for sometimes laughter IS the best medicine!

I let my inner pink escape and used SCS CC516- Pink or White Melons? guide my color decisions.  Wouldn't you just love to be surrounded by all that pink flowery goodness if you were sick in bed?!

This precious pig is part of the new Sweet Perks Bundle, Get Well Critters, by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  There are dies to match the images in the stamp set!

There are so many fun images and sentiments with this set and it's being offered at a discount until
February 5th at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

I also used:

PPRS Monday Inspiration and CAS310

Happy Monday!

Ready or not it's February, the month of love!  It's my turn to play hostess at the SCS CAS challenge and since my February calender is full of  anniversary dates I decided that this week's challenge should be all about love, anniversary or weddings.   I combined my love for PPRS dies/stamps and my CAS challenge for today's PPRS Monday Inspiration and came up with this!

I used my favorite coloring technique on the heart: Stamped distress ink on foil, spritzed with water and swished the paper through the ink.  Once dried I die cut the heart from PPRS-D016 Heart Key Crown.   I added two flourishes using  PPRS-D045Flourish Die.  PPRS-D006 Birdcage Die Set has the sweetest little bird so I added a bird to perch on the heart and used the second half of the sentiment "I love you always and forever" from CLR047 Mini Vases Clear Set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to stop by PPRS blog to see all the goodies my teammates have designed for your inspiration!
