Spring is in the Air

Happy Tuesday everyone!  This week I am once again featuring Spring Zen by The Project Bin colored with Chameleon Color Tone Pens.  I couldn't wait to color the eggs after coloring the cross last week.  There is something very relaxing about coloring the images in the Spring Zen stamp set!

This week Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to "Make Your Own Background".  For my background I stamped Distress inks on acetate, spritzed with water then tapped onto the card base.  I was impressed with the way the heavyweight cardstock held up to the water!

Carol is this week's Featured Stamper: FS577 over at Splitcoaststampers.  Her gallery is full of charming cards.  I chose her sweet Happy Easter card to inspire my design.  Her card features a cute bunny and a large Easter egg.  I am featuring two large Easter eggs and changed everything else.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Don't forget to stop by next week when I color the zentangle tulips!!!  :)

The Most Beautiful

This week Brenda is our hostess for the IC638 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  She has selected a gorgeous site to inspire our creativity!  I found THIS photo and went searching for my Unity bottle stamps.

I simply love the all the white space around the clear bottles with a pop of color from the flowers in the photo so I created a similar look for my card.  This kit is an Angie Blom design from Unity Stamp Co. called A Chance Every Day AND I just found out it's on sale this weekend, HALF off!!!!  :)

I stamped the inside with the sentiment in the kit.  Such a great reminder to look for the beautiful in our days!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Spring Zen

Hello Friends!  Today I get to share a brand new set from The Project Bin!
The new set is Spring Zen and it includes three beautiful images to color and six fabulous sentiments.  I envision hours of fun coloring these fun zentangle inspired images!

Coloring the cross with its pretty swirls and curves was so relaxing with my Chameleon Color Tone Pens.  I used PK5 and Infused PR4 for the flowers.  For the curves, I used OL3 and infused YL2.

With this card, I am celebrating BOSS, this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers!  THIS card was my inspiration with its pretty spring scene surrounded by lots of white space!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!

Cool Cat, Warm Day, a play on the Montly Theme

Happy Caturday!
Today at Splitcoaststampers, Stacy picked a floral site to inspire us.  You can check out the challenge at IC637.

I chose THIS photo for my inspiration.  I wanted to play with this sweet "Sitting Here" set by SU! (demonstrator Lydia Fiedler) which I bought in the fall but had not inked yet.  My garden seating is a swing instead of a chair as in the photo and I added a few extras, like the kitty and bird!  I used the color of the flowers in the photo for the pillows and the flowers in the flower pot.

I am also playing along with this month's Dirty Dozen theme sketch at Splitcoaststampers.  The theme this month is "Cold Hands Warm Heart".  I have a warm spring day, warm colored pillows and flowers along with one very Cool cat and a cool blue sky.

Thanks for visiting today!

Lemony Yellow!

Today I have a super fun card to share featuring Hole Foods by The Project Bin!

This is a fun "builder" stamp.  First I stamped the donut, then I inked up the glaze in lemon yellow.  A sprinkle stamp is included with the set but I chose to add enamel dot sprinkles this time.

I have staged my card with this very special tea set.  My sister gave this to me for my 9th birthday.  Somehow I managed to hang onto this treasure through countless childhood moves including one where we had to leave all of our possessions behind!  I can't remember if I packed it with my clothes or what but this little tea set and a doll I was given when I was 5 years old were all that made it to adulthood with me!

This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers is (Michelerey) and I chose THIS sunny card to inspire my design!

Now here's a look at the yummy Hole Foods stamp set!

Butterflies

Today I am featuring the Kinda Sorta stamp set by The Project Bin.

I stamped this sweet sentiment then die cut it with a scallop oval to fit the center of the card but this stamp set includes two beautiful rectangle frames which can be used to frame all four of the sentiments.

I will be entering my card into Word Art Wednesday's challenge.  This week one of the sponsors at Word Art Wednesday is The Project Bin so why not link up a card to the challenge, you could win a Project Bin prize!!!

I know that this sentiment is talking about the butterflies in your stomach when you see someone you love but when I saw this sentiment I thought of hope.  I love using butterflies and the word "hope" when creating encouragement cards.

I have received many encouraging cards and acts of kindness over the last couple of months so for me this sentiment takes on a different meaning.  So much kindness reminds me of the symbol of hope we think of when we see butterflies!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Here is a look at the entire stamp set!

Birdies, Hugs and a Challenge

It's February first and even though many of us are thinking Valentine's day some of us think Christmas all year long!  The February Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge is up, I hope you will come join us!

Janeen gave me both the awesome Interactive Windows Stax and Stitched Pinking Edge SquaresDie-namics by My Favorite Things.

I stamped the greeting from Birdies Hugs & Mistletoe by Unity Stamp Co. on the Pinking Edge square adhered it to the interactive window and added some holiday greenery.

For the inside, I added the adorable birds from  Birdies Hugs & Mistletoe kit!

The interactive window die was super easy to use and adds a little extra interest to this holiday card.  Thank you Janeen!!!
