Top Dog Dies - Frame

Hi everyone!  The weekend is almost here!  Do you have crafty plans for the weekend?  Perhaps a little inspiration is in order as we near the end of this week.  I am sharing two projects today using Top Dog Dies.

I used Top Dog Dies Frame Front Die to create both projects.

For the first card I let the fun die cut shape of this card do all the work!   I added a piece of designer paper, stamped sentiment and a chipboard butterfly for a quick but unique looking card.

For my second card I went with a horizontal look, a stamped sentiment and used these cute butterflies from the Purse Card Finishers die set.

Both of these cards are heading to MD Anderson, made for HYCCT challenges: Blingtastic and Words that Inspire.

Happy Saturday everyone!  Brrrr!  We are definitely experiencing a chill in the air on this last weekend in Fall are you?  How about a little stamping to keep you warm?

A Peep Through a Tiffany's Window

Hi!  I thought I would share a card that I created for HYCCT at SCS this weekend.  I combined Kittie's HYCCT challenge (make a serene scene) with the Inspiration challenge (IC411) at SCS creating a card that I am entering in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Challenge (Christmas card).  Now that's some snazzy combining!  :)

Speedy Fox 182 - Zoo Scene

Happy Saturday to you!  I hope your day has gotten off to a splendid start!  We enjoyed a short week having the kids and hubby home on Monday.    I have continued to play HYCCT this week so today's Speedy card is no exception.  I sat down to work on this card Tuesday when Stacy's challenge came out to put some CRITTERS on the card.  A great combination since Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge is to create a ZOO scene!  Stop on by Mark's Finest Papers Blog to see all the great inspiration and get details on how you can play along!

It's PINK month!

There are so many reasons to love October!!!  Cooler temperatures, beautiful fall colors, great camping weather, etc but October has become a favorite month for me for another reason as well.  In October Splitcoaststampers, hosts the annual "Hope You Can Cling To" challenges.  It's a great month of playing challenges, making new friends and sending off finished cards to "MD Anderson Cancer Center" to encourage others.  As an added bonus it's a great excuse to break out pink papers and embellishments!!!  (but not required)  :)

So far I have had the chance to play all the challenges except for two.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to get them all in this year!  I thought I would share just a few of my favorites today!

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 181 - Fall Scene

Hi everyone!  I hope you are enjoying this FALL weekend!  As you are reading this I am probably headed back from our family FALL camping trip!  October is our favorite month to camp. The air is cool and crisp, the leaves softly floating to the ground! We have view to a fabulous fall scene each morning as we make breakfast and speaking of FALL SCENES  our challenge this week at Speedy Fox & Friends is to create a FALL SCENE.  (how did you like that smooth segue?)  Now on to my card!

 I created my scene using the mini stamp set Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a HC  "Pumpkins & Sunflowers".

Welcome to day three of the hop!  Today's featured set is "Huge Blooms" and I have two cards to share using this fabulous flower.  For the first one I used the Large bloom.  I heat embossed the bloom with white EP then water colored with TH distress markers. 

For my second card I used the pink spritzed panel that has been sitting on my desk since DTGD and I stamped the bloom, then I colored it in with colored pencils and OMS, finishing it off with white gel pen highlights.

 I played along with the MIX36 Challenge at SCS (anything goes) where Dina Kowel shared a gorgeous card using white marker on her flower.  I am also playing along with HYCCT1303 Pink Pinterest Photos. I chose to use the PINK frames as my inspiration and framed my blossom with a Pink Spellbinders Fler De Lis Rectangle.

If you stopped by my blog yesterday, you might have read that I was going to share the FEATURED set all week.  For today's peek at "Works of Art" I used this stamp on the back and I will sign my name and date it.

There are so many gorgeous sentiments in this set that I decided to just use a sentiment for my next card.  I chose this gorgeous piece of DP that begs not to be covered up and added the sentiment on a Spellbinders Labels Four die cut.  This card is entered into the HYCCT1301C challenge at SCS to make a one or two layer card - FLAT is FABULOUS!
