Picket Fence Studios + WOW! Embossing Powder Blog Hop

Welcome to the Picket Fence Studios & WOW! Embossing Powder Collaboration Hop!  We have lots of sparkle and shine to share with you today so grab a beverage and enjoy!

You will find a list of participating blogs below and details regarding the giveaway.

First, I chose the elegant Rose Glintz Embossing Powder with the beautiful Botan Peony.  IRL there is a beautiful shine to the Rose Glintz which looks amazing with the large Peony.  Next, I added the Rose Glintz EP to a piece of cardstock then I die cut Seriously. Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Rustic Floral stamp set.

I just love the color and shine!

For my next card, I am featuring WOW! One Hundred & One embossing powder plus the Everything Word Die and Neighborhood stamp set from Picket Fence Studios. Because of the spacing in this sentiment, it was super easy to mask off the last part and keep just the "thank you for".
It's so cool the way the embossing powder blends together and looks like paint!

Lastly,  I used the Heart of Flowers Stencil and  WOW! Long Island Teal Embossing Powder. There is so much sparkle and shine to this card!  Then I used Opaque Bright White for the sentiment from Ways to say Happy Anniversary.  I love that the Bright White really is white and not cream colored!

In conclusion WOW! embossing powders will make you say WOW!

With these cards, I am entering several Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at SCS!

Diesel

Before summer turns to fall I wanted to color this sweet image of Diesel and his friends. It's making me sleepy just looking at these friends taking a summer siesta! Since the
Impression Obsession team sets aside a couple of days a month to share new projects using beautiful classic stamps I figured today was the day to color Diesel!  To see more fabulous designs featuring classic stamps stop by the Impression Obsession Blog!

For a little added texture and dimension I added glass beads gel to the center of the sunflower.  It's so fun run my fingers over the raised beads!

Next, I added glossy accents to the ladybug, Diesel's nose, and the turtle shell.

This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers is our very own Jeanne!!  I am excited to celebrate her with a CASE!

Enchanted Forest

Brenda is our hostess for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS this week and she has chosen a cool Pinterest board to inspire us.  I found this pretty needle minder for the inspiration for my woodsy forest.

I used my Life Changing Blender Brushes to create a magical forest background in similar colors to the inspiration photo.  My forest is made from a one-piece forest die and I love the way it embosses the bark.  I changed the deer in the pin to this darling little reading bunny with coordinating die.  I colored the sweet bird in gray just like the inspiration and then I added a sentiment from Simply Wonderful.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a creative day!

Christmas in July

The Free 4 All challenge at SCS is Christmas in July and I have a card for that!  I love creating snowy winter cards in the summer.  When it's cold and gray out it just feels even colder when I make snowy cards so summer is my favorite time create snowy scenes.

I created a stencil using the Serendipity Snowballs die (sold at Impression Obsession) and then I brushed on white acrylic paint through my paper stencil.  Next, I stamped the Nordic town, colored it and fussy cut it.  Once the snow was dry I stamped the sentiment.

So do you have creative time planned this weekend?  If so what kind of project are you planning on creating?

Impression Obsession Challenge - Hot Colors

I am in NO hurry for fall but as a creator of pretty things, I know I need to have a headstart on creating for the next season.  Therefore the new challenge at Impression Obsession comes at a perfect time! So for the next two weeks, we invite you to join us in creating Impression Obsession projects with Hot Colors.  All the details can be found HERE

For my card, I inked up my craft mat with DOX Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade and spritzed with water.  Next, I dunked cardstock in the watery ink.  I used the heat gun to dry the ink then tapped the paper onto the mat picking up a bit of the leftover splatter.  Once the base was dry, I stamped this sensational owl silhouette multiple times using my stamp positioner.  Lastly, I added a greeting from this fall set.

Impression Obsession Summer Fun with Die Cuts

Happy Monday! I have never been a hot weather lover but I certainly enjoy creating bright summer cards with Impression Obsession dies!

I was eager to create a scene with my new Fish Net die.  I spent quite some time trying different scenes before I settled on this.  There may have been a bit of consultation before the final design was decided upon but I will never tell!  :)

I think these Fish are adorable! I added Tiny flowers to decorate the larger fish. I wanted the net to be more of a decoration than a working net so I added two small fish leaving the net area.  Clearly, this is a happy summer scene!  :)   Next, I added the brilliant larger sun from the Big and Little Suns set.  Lastly, I added three Stitched Clouds.  The sun has an extra ray around which I find really fun. To add a little more definition, I added a bit more color to the center of the sun and the outer rays.

Today the Impression Obsession designers are creating cards with mostly dies. For a list of all the designers participating in today's Die Cut Obsession check out the Impression Obsession Blog.

This week's Featured Stamper at SCS is PeppermintPatty's.  She has an adorable card in her gallery featuring a happy sun and a cloud so adding a sun and clouds to my card was a must!

That's it for me today!

A Minnesota Winter

This week's Inspiration Challenge Site at SCS is the Audubon Society.  Oh my!  The photos are amazing.  Seriously!  Several photos on the 2019 Audubon Photography Awards page inspired me as well as a photo featuring Minnesota's Sax-ZimBog.

To create my MN winter I added a bit of pink on the snow.  I stamped the forest from Impression Obsession first in a light pink so I knew where the tree line was and then I brushed on picked raspberry ink with Life-Changing Blender Brushes.  I added Salty Ocean distress ink and then Blueprint Sketch for the sky.  Next, I stamped green over the light pink trees and then it was time to add the snow.  I added acrylic paint to the tree stamp and with my MISTI I stamped snow on the trees.  For a final touch to the trees, I used my finger to move the acrylic paint where I wanted it. Lastly, I added a Merry Christmas sentiment from Impression Obsession.
