Where Has My Little Dog Gone? A Sweet Summer Card

Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone? A Sweet Summer Card

Hello friends!

I'm sharing a handmade SweetMissDaisy Designs card created for this week's Splitcoaststampers Free for All Challenge. The theme is Nursery Rhymes or Children's Songs, and it immediately brought one little tune to mind!

I used the adorable pup from the Beachside stamp set by SweetMissDaisy Designs. As I colored this happy beach-going pup, I couldn't stop humming, "Oh where, oh where has my little dog gone..." I guess he decided to spend the day at the beach! 😂

Process

To create my clean and simple design, I added a 2-inch-wide strip of Citrus patterned paper from SweetMissDaisy Designs along the left side as a colorful vertical border. Next, I stamped the beach pup image onto a scalloped circle die cut, colored it with alcohol markers, and popped it up using recycled plastic packaging for dimension.

To finish the card, I popped up the sentiment, "Happy Summer! Fetch Some Fun!" for an extra layer of interest while keeping the overall design clean and cheerful.

If you'd like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop.

You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Cardmaking is a wonderful way to share creativity while sending something meaningful and handmade. I hope this project inspires you to create your own handmade summer cards!

Snow Sisters Build a Sandcastle

Hello! How about cooling down with some beach-going snowgirls? 😊 Today I'm featuring the darling snow people from the Cool Summer stamp set by SweetMissDaisy Designs.

For this cheerful summer card, I started with patterned papers from the Citrus Paper Pack. The sunny colors create the perfect backdrop for a fun day at the beach. I layered two rounded-corner panels to add dimension and visual interest before creating the focal image.

Next, I stamped the adorable snow people onto a stitched panel with rounded corners. As I colored them, I decided they were snow sisters enjoying a summer adventure together! Matching yellow hats and a sweet daisy accent tied their look together perfectly.

Of course, no beach day is complete without a sandcastle! These snowy sisters did a fantastic job building one. To add a few extra details, I fussy-cut a starfish and a bird from the stamp set. The starfish is placed above the "Stay Cool" sentiment, while the little bird found a cozy spot near the top of the focal panel.

I just love the playful contrast of snow people enjoying a sunny beach day. Sometimes a little creative whimsy is exactly what's needed during these hot summer months! These cheerful snow sisters are certainly helping me stay cool while crafting.

If you'd like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used at the SweetMissDaisy Designs shop. One of the things I love about this design is how easily it can be adapted using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques.

Cardmaking is a wonderful way to share creativity while sending something meaningful and handmade. I hope this project inspires you to create a few chill summer cards of your own!

Pawsitively Sunny Summer Mini Pocket Card

 Hello friends!

Today I am sharing a fun Mini Pocket Tip Card created for the Splitcoaststampers F4ALL Beach Challenge. The beautiful beach-themed colors and seaside prompt from the #ArtNudge 626C Challenge also inspired me. The bright, cheerful palette is the perfect match for this adorable summer design!

To create the pocket card base, I started with a double-sided 6x6 sheet of Citrus patterned paper from SweetMissDaisy Designs. I scored the paper in half at 3 inches and folded it. Next, I scored the bottom portion at 2 inches and cut along the center fold line up to the 2-inch score line, creating pockets on both the inside and outside of the card.

For the front, I decided to let the folded section become part of the design rather than a pocket. I simply glued the 2-inch flap closed and used it as a decorative element. I die-cut a scalloped circle from Citrus patterned paper and layered it with a smaller white cardstock circle. On the white layer, I stamped the darling beach-going kitty from the Beachside stamp set and colored her using the bright summer colors from the ArtNudge inspiration photo.

The sentiment, "Wishing you a Pawsitively Sunny Summer Day," was popped up with dimensional adhesive, and I tucked a bit of gold thread behind it for extra sparkle and texture.

Inside the card, I rounded the corners of the 2-inch flap and folded it upward, gluing the edges to create a functional pocket. This little pocket is perfect for holding a gift card, a thank-you note, cash, or even a small surprise. Here

, I designed it to hold "tip money" for a server. I think it would make the sweetest summer thank-you gift! I added the sentiment "Just a Note to Say Thanks" to the pocket, using a sentiment from the adorable Ricky Raccoon stamp set.

One of my favorite things about this project is how versatile the design is. You can easily customize it with different stamps, patterned papers, and color combinations to suit any occasion. Handmade pocket cards are a wonderful way to share creativity while giving something thoughtful and practical at the same time.

If you'd like to recreate this project, you'll find the stamps and papers I used at SweetMissDaisy Designs. I hope this card inspires you to create your own pocket cards for gift giving, thank-you gifts, and special occasions.

Everyone is welcome to join the Art Nudge Blog Link party for a chance to win a prize.  :)

Beachside Critters for the SweetMissDaisy Designs Release!

Hello everyone! I have three fun cards to share featuring the June Release from SweetMissDaisy Designs! This release is packed with adorable critters enjoying all the best parts of summer, making it perfect for seasonal cards, challenges, and happy mail.

Soakin' Up Sunshine

My first card features the Cool Summer stamp set paired with papers from the Citrus Paper Pack. The bright colors made it a perfect fit for the wallpaper inspiration photo from this week's Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge.

I started by creating a selfie-style frame and stamped the beach-going snowman inside it. The background is a soft yellow pattern from the Citrus Paper Pack, and since the inspiration photo included touches of yellow, green, orange, and red, I incorporated those colors throughout the scene. To finish the design, I popped up a sunshine die-cut from the Citrus Paper Pack and added the cheerful "Soakin' Up Sunshine" sentiment.

Just Chillin'

Next up are these adorable chickens enjoying an ice cream treat from the Just Sand stamp set. For this card, I added a 2½" x 5½" star-filled border along the right side and die-cut a navy scalloped circle to frame the image.

The papers come from the new Stars and Stripes Paper Pack, which adds a fun patriotic feel to the design. Even though the card doesn't specifically mention the Fourth of July, the red, white, and blue color palette makes it perfect for summer celebrations and holiday greetings. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Just Chillin' stamp set.

I'll be entering this card in the Splitcoaststampers Free 4 All Challenge, where the theme is "Chillin'."

Beachside Kitty

Lastly, let's take a look at the Beachside stamp set! I selected the sweet kitty drifting along the beach from the four adorable images included in the set.

This stamp set is wonderful for scene building. After stamping the main image, I added a bright sun and two fluffy clouds to create a cheerful beach day. The background paper is from the Citrus Paper Pack, layered with white cardstock and the image panel.

I colored the scene using deep blues, bright yellows, and a pop of red to capture the fun energy of summer. This card will be entered into the #SSSIGChallenge @SimonSaysChallenge, where the theme is "Make a Scene."

If you'd like to recreate any of these cards, you'll find all of the new stamps and papers used here in the
SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop.

Unstoppable Adventures Begin Today!

🚀 Unstoppable Adventures Begin Today!

Hello, crafty friends!
It’s Release Day at Pajama Crafter Stamps, and I’m thrilled to share two cards from the new Unstoppable Adventures collection! This release is all about embracing the wild, sunny, and sometimes hilariously chaotic ride of summer. From lazy days in the pasture to bold steps of courage, these new sets bring heart, humor, and high vibes to your craft table. See the HOP details below!!

🐄 Card 1: Let’s Graze and Laze

First up, I had a blast creating a lighthearted summer scene with the Chillin' With the Herd stamp set. I started by masking the sweet cow so he could plop right down on a checked picnic blanket, which I paper pieced using the same cheerful paper as the background. It’s a perfect mix of cozy and country!

I couldn’t resist adding some fussy-cut picnic foods to the spread—yes, that’s an apple tucked into the cow’s “hand,” and of course, a bottle of milk too! (Don’t think too hard about that part... 😆) The sentiment reads:
“Let’s graze and laze all summer long,”
...and honestly? That sounds like the perfect plan.

💪 Card 2: You Are Unstoppable

Next, I went bold and bright with the Unstoppable stamp set. I started with vibrant watercolor powders to create a textured background, layering colors with water until I reached a dreamy, dynamic blend. Once dry, I randomly brushed on white embossing powder and heat set it for extra texture and movement—it’s such a fun effect!

The empowering sentiment: “Word of the Day Year: Unstoppable.” perfectly captures the spirit of this courageous girl, detailed with Copic markers.

Inside the card, I stamped Ephesians 6:1, a powerful scripture that’s included in the set itself, making this card as meaningful as it is bold.

✨ The Unstoppable Adventures Hop

This month’s Unstoppable Adventures release includes:

  • 🎨 One must-have dynamic stencil

  • 🖼️ Five adventurous new stamp sets

The whole collection celebrates the highs, lows, and sometimes struggle-bus-worthy detours of summer—because creativity thrives even in chaos! Whether you're chasing sunshine, wrangling picnic baskets, or just trying to keep your cool by the pool, these sets are ready to tag along.

Gingham for the July IO Team Favorites

Hi, I am sharing a few gingham favorites for the IO July Team Favorites.

**Affiliate links used when possible at no charge to you**

First, I used pretty paper from the Gingham Paper pack and made a wavy border with the Edges 2 Die set. Next, I stamped the mushroom and the mouse from the sweet Enchanted Woodlands stamp set and colored them. The mouse is the sweetest! I stamped the sentiment on a Rounded Rectangle Layer to finish the project.

My next card features gingham paper from the Mini Gingham Paper Pack.  I used the Stitched Tag #5 for the background of my summer scene. I fussy-cut the sun from the Summer Sunshine set and stamped flowers from the Alphabet Hello stamp set. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on a Small Tag.  The Small Tags dies are so cute with several designs; they are just right for small sentiments!

You can find all the Team Favorites linked on the Impression Obsession Blog.

I really appreciate your coming by. I hope the projects today have inspired you.

Happy Everything - IO July Release Hop

Hello. Happy Everything is today's theme for my Impression Obsession Release Hop post!  I have a dash of fall, sunny summer, and dreams of the future!

You can take a look at all that's new HERE.  Details on the July Hop are listed below!

Fall is where we are headed with my first card.  I made a Fall Scene with the cute squirrel from Enchanted Woodlands. The border and Small Tags were made with the lovely Summer Garden paper pack. For Mr. Squirrel, a fall scene was created using the Cloud Grass Scene and Edgers Stencils.  I always say to myself, "Oh, nuts, I am late," when I mail cards later than expected.  This set is certain to get a lot of use!

Next, I made a dreamy card with the Summer Flutterbys Set! I added a sentiment from the Listen Doll set. The background paper is from Daisy Chain and the image layer is from my favorite Crazy Stitched Set.

The last card will be used to send warm sunshine on any happy occasion. I utilized the fantastic Rays die set to create this summery scene. This set consists of two dies that perforate the paper, leaving a circular layer intact without cutting it out.  After that, I incorporated the Edgers Stencil and the charming chick from Alphabet Words - Hello. The sentiment, taken from the Tiny Tag Sayings set, was then stamped onto a Small Tag. Because of its cheerfulness and adaptability, "happy everything" is a phrase I love adding to cards.

A Sweet Day

We are chilling this week at SCS!  What better way to cool off than yummy ice cream!

I used a gorgeous piece of paper from the Warm Watercolor Pack for the background and then paper-pieced the ice cream.  Yum!  The ice cream and sentiment are from Nola Chandler's Cherry On Top set.  For a fun design element, I used the Bread Tag.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hello, Sunshine with a Sketch

Hello!  I am up on the My Sweet Petunia Blog with all the instructions and tips regarding this fun card!

***Affiliate links are used when possible at no charge to you!***

Cut Align Ruler (0 point end for precision alignment)

All the card-making info is on the My Sweet Petunia Blog. However, I want to mention one of my new favorite tools! I love the new  Alignment Grids!  They are made of sturdy plastic, so they won't bend or crease when you clean them.  I also love that they are marked at an eighth of an inch for precision aligning! My favorite way to use the grids is to place them over what I am working on to ensure I have layers precisely positioned. This way, I can make tiny adjustments to ensure precise alignment before gluing or popping up!

My inspiration was this week's Freshly Made Sketches, created by my friend, Judy!

Thanks so much for taking a look!

Summer Fun & More - IO July Release Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the July Release Hop!

Let's dive right into it! The other day, I made a fun discovery with the snowfall stencil by mistake. I ink-blended the background with Distress inks, placed the stencil over the top, took a wet rag, and wiped the dots with water. Water seeped under the stencil and left a lot of watery blending. I didn't use as much water for this background, so the result was slightly less...blendy but still eye-catching! I recommend this technique for some unique backgrounds!

**Affiliate links used when possible at no charge to you!**

Here's what I used:

Next, I am featuring Just Bee-cause, a fun bee set! These bees are so cute and designed that even a fussy-cut challenged person like me can easily fussy-cut them! I randomly inked the Batik Cross stencil for the background. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the set on a Wacky Stitched Circle.

Lastly, I am back to Christmas with the elegant Holly Frame. The set allows for gorgeous layers with little effort. I used paper from the Christmas Plaids paper pack for the inner layer. Then, I embellished it with sequins, added a sentiment from the Joyous Christmas stamp, and die-cut it with the accompanying Joyous Christmas die.

Christmas & More for the IO July Release Hop

Welcome to the July Release Hop!

There is a lot to love about this month's Release. There is a bit of Christmas to help get an early start on Christmas cardmaking, and lots of summer fun is happening too!

First up, a charming new die, the Bread Tag die! This die creates oodles of design possibilities! I placed it on the Batik Cross Stenciled background. Nola Chandler has a sweet new stamp set, Cherry on Top, and it's so yummy it will make you hungry!

From summer to winter, next up, Christmas is my all-time favorite cardmaking theme, so I am always delighted to see a new Christmas stamp! There are several new sets this month.

Here is what I used for this Pooh card:

There are so many fun things about making this card. First, the new Snowfall Stencil. I scraped a glittery paste over the stencil for the background. I added a Stitched Frame Tag as an interesting design element. Next, my favorite thing. The new Joyous Christmas stamp set and accompanying Joyous Christmas die set. I LOVE that the die set includes dies to go around the sentiments. The die makes adding a sentiment so simple and so lovely!

July 15th & 16th The Impression Obsession Team will share new projects with the NEW clear stamps, dies, sten ils, and paper packs! You can find a daily list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog through the event.

Two lucky customers who place an Impression Obsession order during July release week (July 15th – 23rd) will have a very special Impression Obsession prize package added to their orders!
