Hello, Sunshine with a Sketch

Hello!  I am up on the My Sweet Petunia Blog with all the instructions and tips regarding this fun card!

All the card-making info is on the My Sweet Petunia Blog. However, I want to mention one of my new favorite tools! I love the new  Alignment Grids!  They are made of sturdy plastic, so they won't bend or crease when you clean them.  I also love that they are marked at an eighth of an inch for precision aligning! My favorite way to use the grids is to place them over what I am working on to ensure I have layers precisely positioned. This way, I can make tiny adjustments to ensure precise alignment before gluing or popping up!

Growing Up

The Virtual Stamping Night Mini was held last night at Splitcoaststampers.  This is a free online event open to anyone!  The Mini was just on Friday night but the main event will include both Friday and Saturday, Dec 14 and 15th.  The challenge is kept open so it's not too late to play along.  

  I did not care for the Peanuts tv cartoons when I was a girl.  I think I related too closely to Charlie Brown.  As a young girl, I longed to know that life could go right more often than wrong.  Now that I am an adult, I love the Charlie Brown Christmas story.  Such a great message and who can resist the amazing music!  When I saw Misti's VSN challenge I knew just which stamp I wanted to feature.

The stamp kit is Small Stuff Christmas by Unity Stamp Co. and my card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.  As I went to grab the photo of the sketch to include in my post I realized I missed one of the elements of the sketch but I will share the sweet sketch with you anyway!
