All About Pie

Hello, this week's Free 4 All Challenge is Sweet Treats.  For my sweet treat, I am going with strawberry pie.  I couldn't resist randomly stamping types of pie from the Pie Sayings set in the background.  I used IO Tan ink for the background counter and pie types.  The pie is made with the Slice of Pie die.  We would love it if you stopped by the challenge and played along!

Happy Fall

It's Watercolor Wednesday and we are painting warm gold wreaths this week.  I am going with my first attempt this time as we are very busy at our house preparing for a wedding!  Overall, I love this wreath.  It has a few leaves I am not happy with but the experience was very relaxing.  I can't wait to paint more. After painting my wreath, I used the Mini MISTI to add a sentiment from Fall Sayings by IO.  I find the MISTI to be invaluable when stamping on watercolor paper!

More Than Pie - Favorites Day at Impression Obsession

Hello, it's time for the Impression Obsession Team to share favorites of the month.  I love the new Slice of Pie die and the Pie Sayings set.  The sentiment set does a great job covering everyone's favorite pie and it's easy to make pie when you have the die!

Stencil Joy - Impression Obsession Product Focus

This month's Product Focus is Stencils!  Stencils can add a lovely background to a project or take center stage.  Stencils are THE focus of my projects today!

Firstly is the Ornament Branch stencil which includes three ornaments. I carefully covered all the cut-outs not needed.  Then I ink blended each element to create my scene.     

Next is the lovely Layered Dahlia Stencil.  I really enjoyed using this one.  It was a lot of fun adding dimension to a single-layered card with just stencils!  To finish off the card I used the Colorful Sayings stamp and Rounded Rectangle Layers die.

Changing Seasons - IO September Release & Giveaway Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the IO September Release & Giveaway!   You can find the giveaway details posted below!

I cannot lie, I love coffee cup images so I am in love with Nola's Pumpkin Spice stamp set!  I can even fussy cut the coffee cups, LOL.  If you have read my posts you know, I am not big on fussy cutting. 

I colored the coffee cups and then dug through my background stash.  I was psyched to find the watercolor wash in the perfect colors!   Lastly, I framed the Fall coffee with the Large Frame Die.   

Next, I am switching seasons to Christmas, my favorite!  The new Colorful Seasons Sentiment stamp includes all the seasons plus a few everyday sentiments!   I used the new Winter Fun Paper pack and dies for a fun winter layered look. The dies featured here are, Scalloped Oval Tag, 

 Stitched SL Layers and the Country Snowflake. 

On September 15th & 16th, the Impression Obsession Team is sharing new projects from the September Release!  The new goodies include stamps, dies, stencils, and paper packs!

Pie & Coffee - September IO Release & Giveaway!

Hello, it's Day 1 of the September Release and Giveaway!  You can find the giveaway details posted below!

Today is all about Pie & Coffee for me.  Firstly, the beautiful Slice of Pie die!  I used Fall Sayings for the sentiment but also new this month is a fabulous coordinating sentiment set called Pie Sayings!  The border paper is from the Fall Floral Paper Pack.

Next is a very fun stamp set filled with Pumpkin Spice!  I paired the coffee with a sentiment from Fall Sayings.  I used a die from the Cute Scalloped Rectangle set and the paper border is from the Winter Fun Paper Pack.

Keeping It Simple for Watercolor Wednesday

Hello, for Watercolor Wednesday this week Kia is encouraging us to "keep it simple" by painting a stamped image.  She has selected a lovely video by Lydia Fiedler to inspire us.  In the video, Lydia is painting a Pooh image so I decided to use a Pooh image from the new IO Limited Edition September Kit. There are the sweetest sentiments included in the set and I think I will stamp one on the inside but I decided I just didn't want to interrupt my sky with a sentiment.

A Sweet Halloween for IO Theme Day

Hello, this month's Theme Day at IO is Halloween!  I decided to use this year's Spooky Day Set and make that ghost wobble!  I also added a trio of Tiny Flowers in the color of candy corn for a sweet ghost!  The paper is from Autumn Scenes and die cut with the versatile Stitched SL Layers 2.

The images are so detailed that they really don't need a lot of "extras"!  I simply used one of the dies from the Stitched Slimline Layers 2, for the sentiment and added a trio of enamel dots!  

This next card spotlights Piglet!  I used one of the stamps in the kit for the background and stamped it multiple times.  Next, I stamped Piglet and the sentiments on a Deckled Frame die-cut piece.  Lastly, a ribbon for the final touch.
