Picket Fence Studios May Release - You Inspire Me

Welcome to the May Picket Fence Studios Release!  This is such a fun spring release and I can't wait to share it with you!

First, I just fell in love with the dreamy, Dream With Me Cover Plate.  I die-cut a layer from a background in my stash featuring ink smooshing with Distress Oxides.  For the silhouette, I simply die-cut the girl on the swing in black and adhered it to the original die-cut.  I created an evening sky with the 52 Layers of Clouds Stencil and then die-cut both the base and the Cover Plate with the Slimline DCS Scallop Frames.  I then sprinkled a few Jewel of the Nile Sequins in the sky.  Lastly, I used a sentiment from the Tropical Hibiscus Bouquet set.

For my next card, I am excited to share the beauty of the new Ombre Sky Blues Paper Glaze trio!  The blues are just lovely together.  I used the Slimline Rainbow Stencil and spread the lightest glaze to the darkest onto the stencil.  After it was dry I die cut the layer with the Slim Line Nested Rectangle Die and the Palm Tree Slim Line DCS Insert.  I cut the insert out a second time from black paper to create a silhouette.  Lastly, I added hello three times using the word die that is included in the Slimline DCS Scallop Frames.

For my last card, I am sharing one of the new butterfly stencils in an A2 format.  There are 5 new butterfly stencils out this month so check the selection in the New Release Category of the store!  For this card, I used the Wander Butterfly Stencil.  With LC Blending brushes I blended ink over the top of the previously made background.  The sentiment is from the Tropical Hibiscus Bouquet set.  Lastly, I added Sands of Time Gems to the body of the butterfly. This will be going to my sister who inspires me!  In her 50's with very little prior education, she went to college and is now a teacher! She will be teaching 1st grade in the fall!  Her favorite color is green and she totally inspires me!

Celebrate Texture

Hello!  Happy Friday to you!    It's time for a new Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers and we have chosen "texture" as our challenge.   

   To create my texture I mixed Golden Rose Paper Glaze with Paper Glaze Enhancer.  I love how easy it is to spread the mixture through the Slimline Broken Fence Stencil!  I used both the SLDC Scallop Frame Dies and the SLDC Nested Rectangle Dies for layering.  The SLDC Systems include so many dies that it makes them great buys!  As an example, the "celebrate" die is included in the Scallop Set! See the photo link at the bottom of this post for the list of dies included in these sets! For a fun embellishment, I die-cut Maple Leaves and painted them with Golden Rose Paper Glaze mixed with water for a little "gold leafing".  Lastly, I sprinkled a few Purple-Rita Sequins.

A favorite Author and a Birthday Card.

This week's Teapot Challenge is very interesting!  I would encourage you to check out the Inspiration for the challenge even if you aren't into creating a card!  My "Room" is the Jane Austen room.  I love her stories and the room is elegant with a lot of white space!  

My card was a joy to create.  I used the Twine 6x6 Stencil by Picket Fence Studios and Lime Zinnia Paper Glaze mixed with Paper Glaze Enhancer.  The sentiment is from the Wild Peonies set.  I sprinkled a few of the lovely Creme de Menthe sequins for a finishing touch.

Picket Fence Studios April Release!

Hello!  Welcome to the Picket Fence Studios April Release!  

You know that I am over the moon about this new Cats are Family stamp set!  Oh, it's just so sweet and I love that there is a Coordinating Die set!  First I mixed a bit of Pink Carnation and Peony Pink Paper Glazes then added Paper Glaze Enhancer. Next, I spread the Enhanced Glaze over the Geo Squares Stencil.  I can't get enough of that pretty pink background and the cat!  

Next, I went with a fairly CAS look.  I die-cut the top layer with the new Scallop Framed Slimline Die Cutting System.  Then I die cut the beautiful Monarch Butterfly SLDC Insert at the top and lower portion of the layer.  The HI word die is included in the Scallop Framed SLDC System, isn't that fun?! Lastly, I sprinkled Reflections Gems on the card front.  Don't forget the envelopes!  PFS carries Neutral Slimline Envies and Rainbow Slimline Envies!

For my last card today, I created an inside for this birthday card. I Watercolored the lovely Wild Daisies image and added a sentiment from the set.  

For the inside, I stamped the Wild Daisies in gray ink and used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Inside Quotes Birthday stamp set.

Paradise On Land or In the Sea

 Happy Friday! I am over on the Picket Fence Studios blog today and thought I would share here as well!  

It's definitely Spring in Georgia!  We have the heat one minute and the A/C on the next and lots of stormy weather.  So for my first card, I created a spring-like scene. I used the amazing Paper Glaze Enhancer mixed with the new Lime Zinnia Paper Glaze and the Funky Leaves Stencil. The Paper Glaze Enhancer adds a smooth shimmer and it's super easy to use!  I added two cute Song Birds (with the help of coordinating dies) who, I believe are about to create a little paradise!  The sentiment is included in the lovely Bird of Paradise Flowers set! 

 

From spring foliage to the sea, the PFS March Release has it covered!  This time I used Ocean Poppy Paper Glaze without the enhancer because you know, sometimes you just have to have the shine!  I just love the flow of of the Slim Line Fish For Infinity stencil!  I stamped and die cut (with coordinating die) the mermaid from Mermaids of the Sea.  Then I just had to cover the mermaid with the new Ocean of Green Gems.  The layers are cut with the original Slimline Die Cutting System and the sentiment says "I hope you make a big Splash" from One Year Older.
