Sunshine and Rainbows
Hello! I hope wherever you are the sun is shining and warming up your part of the world! I am on the Picket Fence Studios Blog today featuring sunshine and rainbows so why not share here too!
First, is this super fun rainbow featuring the Slim Line Movement Stencil. This is such a fun stencil as it gives the illusion of dimension! I used the Slim Line Die Cutting System and cut 3 circles out to create space for a scene. Did you know that Picket Fence Studios has a brand new Slim Line Nested Rectangles Die Cutting System out? It has four stitched layers, slimline label dies and four, word dies! It's available now with no waiting for preorder or the next monthly release! I used the Cloud Coverage Stencil and LC Blender Brushes for the background. The image is from After the Storm, and the sentiment is from the Hello set.

I am entering this into what makes you happy challenge at SCS! Don't throw anything at me, I LOVE rain! I know I am weird but I love it. I also LOVE clouds and bright colors and I love pink! All these things make me happy.
For my next card, I inked up the beautiful Wave Sun Stencil with LC Blender Brushes. Don't you just love the curling rays of this sun? I love the image of feminine hands raised from the BFF Favorite Hello Set. When we come together from diverse backgrounds with love and care for one another nothing can stop us! The sentiment is from the lovely Wild Peonies set. Lastly, I sprinkled some Fire Gems!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you feel inspired to create sunshine and rainbows!

Rainbows After the Storm

Hi, everyone! It's time for a new Inspiration Challenge! Julie has chosen a site with lots to inspire our crafty hearts!
I found THIS photo on Pinterest and right off I knew what I wanted to do!
I spent the weekend at Lydia's October Virtual Retreat. We had so much fun! We Zoomed half the time and took classes on FB via LIVE events. I feel like I made a whole batch of new friends and learned a lot too! So, I didn't completely follow the directions on my card because this was my second attempt. First, we used tape to mask off some lines. Then we stenciled the background and I chose the Slim Line Rainbow Stencil. This is where I diverged from the lesson. We are actually supposed to take a pen and draw lines so that the white-masked pathways seem to be above the stenciled pattern below. Sadly, my hands are just too unsteady and my black pen lines went everywhere, EVEN though I used my trusty ruler. Therefore on this attempt, I decided to go without the pen lines.
Now back to the inspiration photo! When I saw the bright colors and the white lines, I thought, "I have a card partway done for that"! I decided to cut a square out of the card front using the new Picket Fence Studios Slimline Cutting System. Then on a white layer, I stamped the cute umbrella duo from After the Storm and colored them. I adhered all the layers and then I added Screwdriver Sequins Mix. I just love Picket Fence Studios Sequins Mixes because they can have unexpected colors in the mix. Who would have guessed that this mostly orange mix would include these cool blue reflective sequins?!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will join us for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge!
