Background Hope - IO February Product Focus

Hello! This month's IO Product Focus is Background Stamps.

For my background project, I used the beautiful Flower Pattern Background stamp. The intricate details of the flowers and leaves added a touch of elegance to the card. To make my favorite word stand out, I used the new Ovals Stencil. The stencil added a subtle outline, making the word pop against the floral background. Finally, I made the word HOPE with the Capital Alphabet die-cut letters. The bold, uppercase letters provide a striking contrast to the delicate background.

Bear & Company - Impression Obsession Day 1 Release & Hop

Welcome to the January Impression Obsession Release, everyone! With so much to share, we are devoting an extra day this month to the Release, so be sure to stop back by tomorrow and Wednesday!

If you want to check out all that's new for January, stop by HERE.

I used the gorgeous Hundred Acre Wood background stamp for my first card; it creates a lovely background for the new Jointed Pooh. I enjoyed creating this adorable Jointed Pooh Bear! To complete the card, I added a Pooh Pleasures sentiment on a Rounded Corner Sentiment 2 layer.

Next up is this cute card showcasing Childhood Friends on a Heart Shelf. I will be using this lovely Heart Shelf for many different projects in the future. I used a Circle Stencil from one of the four new geometric stencil sets that were released this month to add a warm glow around the plush toys. Also, the background paper is from the Pooh paper pack, and the sentiment is from Pooh Pleasures.

I have another adorable bear card to share, but it is not Pooh Bear this time. Introducing this sweet Big Hugs Bear! Not only does Big Hugs Bear offer giant hugs, but he can also assist with birthday celebrations! :) I added a 2 from the Numbers Die Set to celebrate the birthday child.

One side of each of the new geometric stencils features intricate edges for adding pretty borders. I grounded the bear using one of the Rectangles Set's edges. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Bear Sayings on a Jumbo Pinked Stitched Sentiment Banner. I love how wide these jumbo banners are—wide enough to fit a variety of sentiments! Lastly the background paper and the 2 are cut from the Forest Floor Paper Pack

Thank You

 Hello,

It's time for a new F4All Challenge at SCS, and we are on the farm this week! It's a free challenge, and we would love to see you there!

I decided to use a background from my stash. It's been waiting since the beginning of the covid lockdown to be made into a card! I made several backgrounds then, experimenting with different colors and amounts of water. This one wasn't used until now.

The Country Tree Stamp creates a beautiful image and doesn't require much extra work.  A simple sentiment will finish off the card.  I used the banner included in the Deckled Tag Set, and the sentiment is from More Basic Greetings.

Thanks so much for looking!

Wish Big - Product Focus - CAC

Hello! This month the IO Product Focus is Cover-A-Card.

**Affiliate links were used at no charge to you!  Thank you!**

Impression Obsession has a fantastic array of Cover-a-Card red rubber stamps. I love that IO's background stamps are red rubber, so every part of the image stamps crisp and clean! The Tiny Stars, Cover-a-Card stamp is so fun to use. I love those tiny stars! I was going for birthday happiness for this card, so I used various bright ink colors. I made the WISH from the versatile Block Alphabet Die Set and stamped the word BIG from the heartfelt Happy Birthday sentiment set. The stars were cut from one of my most used dies, the Crazy Stitched set. To add more presence to the word WISH, I used one of the layers from the Crazy Stitched Die Set behind it.

The Tiny Stars CAC also looks splendid all in one color as I did for the grad card I posted in May

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stop by the Impression Obsession Blog for a look at the Team's Cover-a-Card Background projects!

Impression Obsession has a lovely assortment of Cover-a-Card red rubber stamps in the store.  You can find them HERE.

A Little Birdie...

Hello!  It's time for a new Free 4 All Challenge at SCS.  This week we are free as a bird and we would love it if you joined us!

I have become a huge fan of Cover-A-Card stamps.  I love that I can stamp them in any color I wish and never run out as happens with a stack of patterned paper.

Here is what I used today:

I would love to know if you have a backyard feeder for birds and what comes to visit.

We have a feeder in the back and we attract House Finches, Cardinals, the Titmouse, Chickadees, occasionally an Oriole, and Yellow Finches, as well as the four-footed breed, also known as squirrels!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

From the Heart for Old is New Day

Hello, today the Impression Obsession team is showcasing older stamps and dies in a new way!

This month's Old is New post is from the heart.  Since I have pulled out all the stops to share several cards, I will not keep you waiting!

First up you are on my Heart & Mind.  I randomly stamped the Brush Heart for the background.  I used the Stitched Tag and added the small tags from the Tags with Tags set.

Secondly, I have Blessings in blue.  To create the gorgeous background I added Distress Oxide inks to the Leather kaleidoscope background stamp and spritzed with water.

Next, I call this Savage Respect.  Each word was individually stamped to create this card.  The stamps are perfect for journaling as well as various other creative projects.  I added three dragonflies to finish this off.

Lastly, I made a card from the heart to work out some emotions.  The sweet girl is Dream Big and the sentiment is Stay Strong.

I hope you enjoyed viewing these projects showcasing stamps from last year!  Now don't forget to hop on over to the Impression Obsession Blog and check out what the rest of the team has created for OLD is NEW Day!

IO Die Cut Day - you're A-MAIZEing

Hello!  It's Die Cut Day at IO.
This is the day the team features favorite die projects!

IO recently released some great veggie dies, fun faces, and punny sentiments.  Today I am having fun with corn!

First, I stamped the Boho Mandala then, I die cut the Corn from distress ink backgrounds.  It was a bit of an accident that I was able to make the texture of corn! It came about as I lightly pounced a piece of watery inked acetate on the corn.  The sentiment is from Corn Sayings and it was stamped on a Rounded Corner Sentiments 2 banner.  You can shop the IO store HERE.

Make sure to stop by the Impression Obsession Blog for a list of participants featuring die-cut designs!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I think the Horse Vignette Slim Scene is absolutely stunning so I kept it simple by masking a moon and ink blending the sky.  The sentiment is from Card Sentiments and it fits beautifully on a Rounded Corner Sentiment Die.  I really like the long thin shapes of this die set for sentiments!

I created a quirky Slimline with the wonderfully detailed Graveyard Scene in the background. Next, I decked out the Llama, the Cat, and the Wirehair Terrier in Critter Costumes!  I think the costumes are a hoot and so fun that they can be added to any Critter you might already have.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Cat Trio set.

With this card, I am also joining in the fun of celebrating this week's Featured Stamper at SCS!

Also this month we have beautiful fall flower stamps!  Make sure to check out the NEW category for a look at all of them.  I am featuring the Sweet Sunflowers and So Very Grateful on this card.

Large Sentiments for IO Old is New Day

**Affiliate links used when possible which gives me a small commission with no charge to you!**

Hello!  It's Old is New Day at Impression Obsession!  To see what all the designers have created you can head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for links!

I reached only as far back as the beginning of the year for my "older" stamps.  I just love the sweet Peony Pattern Square for smaller backgrounds.  If you love Cover-a-Card backgrounds you can also get the Peony Pattern in the larger 5.75 x 5.75-inch size!  Next, I stamped the Good Day sentiment directly onto the background.  Lastly, I added a Stitched Tag for added interest in the background.

I hope you have been enjoying my little bonus cards on Wednesdays.  I have one to share again this week.  We are painting sailboats this week for the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge.  I painted the sailboat scene and then added a sentiment from The Skinny!  The Skinny is a great set for everyday sayings!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Dazzling Backgrounds

Hello!  I am on the My Sweet Petunia Blog today sharing how I created dazzling backgrounds in a snap!  For step-by-step photos head on over to My Sweet Petunia!

Here is what I used for my first card:

Tooled Leather by Impression Obsession
Quietly On by Impression Obsession

I love how this one turned out!  Twisted Citron played well with Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves!

I like to keep the main image or background stamp in my Original MISTI until I am completely done with the project.  In case disaster strikes and I ruin a piece or I just want to make more it's nice to keep the stamp in place. So for sentiments, I reach for my MINI MISTI. The Mini is lightweight and takes up so little space that it's a must-have for me!

Using the MISTI it was a snap to create a dazzling array of backgrounds!

For this fiery version, I used Mustard Seed, Fired Brick, and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.

The die-cut is Birthday Words by Impression Obsession

On the inside, I added a Double Dip Note.   I love these notes that give friends permission to pass the card on when they have loved it enough! The other tool I use almost every time I create a card is the Cut-Align rulers.  I love that they have a 0 center for perfect balance and I love the grid lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
