Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!  We are enjoying a quiet day!  Psst!  I am going to let you in on a little secret.  I kind of like it when my husband works Thanksgiving day.  We celebrate it early on years when this happens.  This year we were able to celebrate on Wednesday so today is a lazy day plus leftovers!  Well, I guess it isn't a lazy day for my dear husband but for the rest of us it is!  We had fun watching the parades, which I never do when our feast day is actually on the day it's supposed to be!  I would love to hear how you celebrate the day or don't celebrate it!!!  :)

I have a couple of Fall Celebration cards using beautiful stamps and dies from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps to share with you today.

I used Fall Leaves Clear Stamp Set for my focal point and sentiment.

For the inside I die cut the oak leaves with the "Leaf Set Die"

I kept it Clean and Simple for the next card using the same stamp set as the card above.  I stamped TH Distress inks onto Kraft mat, spritzed with water and then drug water color paper through the ink.  When the paper was dry I die cut the leaves using "Leaf Set Die ".

A little close up of the leaves:

Top Dog Dies Tutorial: Apron Card with DIY Chipboard Embellishments

Hi!  Today I am sharing a tutorial on creating a Top Dog Dies Apron Card.  I embellished the card with chipboard sewing notions using Sew Much Fun Die Set .

Gathered supplies and die cuts:

First I cut the apron base placing 1) Apron Card (A2) Die 2) solid CS, 3) a Sizzix Impressions Pad 4)acrylic plate. I then cut designer paper to fit the fold over pocket.

Next, using my bone folder tool I creased the paper along fold lines and added score tape to the sides.

Apron Card with side flaps glued in place.

To create my own chipboard embellishments I take cereal boxes or other food packaging boxes, cut it to the general size needed, and glue it to the designer paper.  I run dies and paper  through the die cutting machine, then gently free the individual pieces from surrounding CS/packaging.

A close up view of the "chipboard" pieces.  Aren't they the cutest???

Top Dog Dies - House Album

Hello and welcome to Top Dog Dies Tuesday!  I have a fun album to share today.

I added a bit of lacy curtain and some lights that I have had for so long I don't even remember where or when I bought them.

For my second page I continued with the same roof and chimney.  I added glittered snowflakes and die cut buttons from Top Dog Dies Sew Much Fun Die Set.

This family photo is from last Christmas.

For my last album page I added the small snowflake from the Snowflake Trio Die Set and included part of the fence.

The photo is a bit dark but it's Stormagedon.  She just loved the Christmas tree last year!  I had to buy shatterproof ornaments and leave my treasures in their storage boxes because Miss Storm likes to climb and play with shiny things!

To create the album pages I glued Kraft CS to a Taco Shell box cut to fit my die cutting machine.   Using food boxes are a great way to create inexpensive chipboard and recycle both at the same time!

I created three pieces of  "chipboard" and ran them through the machine ending up with beautifully die cut House Album pages!

Next it was time for decorating!
I decided that only fancy lace would do for the windows.

Check out this chimney with the FABULOUS embossed brickwork!!!

A doorknob for the door and Christmas lights on the fence finishes off the front of the house.

Thanks so much for looking!

Top Dog Dies - Sewing Wreath

Happy Friday to you!!!  I am bringing you another view of the Top Dog Dies Madison Doily and the Top Dog Dies Sew Much Fun Die Set today inspired by SCS WT453 challenge to create a card with a wreath!

I die cut the Madison Doily in green, then cut the center out to form my wreath!  I stamped the sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers - "You are an Angel" in the center of the wreath and the fun of decorating began!

Papers for all the sewing accessories were first glued to cereal box card board then die cut
to give them a chipboard look!  All of the accessories except for the buttons were cut from gold metallic paper.

The scissors are SO COOL, when using a brad to "hinge" the scissors they will open and close!

Don't you just love that thimble?!!

To check out these dies and many other fabulous dies you can visit Top Dog Dies Here

Thanks for looking and enjoy the day, it's FRIDAY!

Top Dog Dies - Sew Much Fun

Hello! I have a fun card to share today!  It was Sew Much Fun to create with this Top Dog Dies set.  See what I did there?

Seriously though, I really did have enjoy playing with this set.  The dies cut like a dream and make for a quick card!  Adding embellishments to this die set was great fun!

To give the buttons a little more depth I glued card stock to a bit of cereal box and then ran it through my die cutting machine.

A bit of paper piecing, pearls, ribbon and fiber completed the dress form!

A bit of embroidery floss from my cross stitching days made topped off the spool.

On the inside I used a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers "I'm in Stitches" and the sewing machine die.

You can view the entire Top Dog Dies Sew Much Fun Die Set right HERE!

Thanks for stopping by!

Speedy Fox & Friends 185 - White Christmas

Happy Saturday!!!  I am always happy for Saturday!  Today I am sharing my version of a White Christmas for Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge .

"Storm and Lil Bit's White Christmas"

Oh! What fun this card was to make! Since our challenge is White Christmas, I first stamped the branches with a white sky.  That was a bit stark so back to the drawing board I went and sponged a light blue sky, then stamped, flocked and glittered the tree.   I took a photo of my White Christmas Window and decided it was definitely missing something.  Storm and Lil Bit of course!   Quite often we will come home and see two little heads in our windows turned at exactly the same angle!

For the inside you can get a little closer look at this sneak peek from the new set "Chill in the Air".  Be sure to stop by Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a HC Blog next week to see all the new releases!!!
