Only For You

This week we have a Guest Designer for the Inspiration Challenge.  Susan chose our site and created two samples for the challenge!  I found THIS pretty dress to inspire my sample.
I chose Forgot to Say Thank You by Picket Fences Studios and colored the jar in blue like the background on the dress.  The flowers are colored in similar shades as the floral pattern of the dress. To finish off the image, I stamped the sentiment on the jar. For the background, I couldn't resist making my own with Rough Around the Edges

I colored the image with Inktense Pencils and activated the color with water for a bright intense look.

I hope you enjoy this last weekend of 2018!

Happy Birthday Denise

Hi!  Today is a special day as we are celebrating Denise the designer and owner of The Project Bin.

You should have arrived here from Tamie's blog. If you want to start the hop from the beginning check out Kelly's blog post.  I’m the fourth stop on birthday hop and I am thrilled to be able to join in the fun today!

Denise is such a sweetie and I am delighted to be part of this birthday hop because birthdays should not be overlooked, especially December birthdays!

Denise, the wish I have for you on your birthday today is for rest and joy!

For my card, I used the kitties and sentiment from the Feline Good stamp set. My favorite thing about this set is that it's all about cats!!!  I was inspired to use these cute cats because of the Mix309 Challenge which is to use a face, I used two!  For the MIX aspect of the card, I die cut the frame from a background I had created with shaving cream, reinkers and Brushos.

Denise, I hope you get to take time for yourself today and I hope you will be filled with joy.  Happy Birthday and many blessing in 2019!

Your next stop on the hop is Stasia!

Simply Love

This week Brenda is our hostess for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  She has chosen a large site full of wonderful photos to inspire us!

I found THIS photo and thought of the Tattoo Heart by Impression Obsession.  I love the simplicity of the photo so I kept my card simple with just the pop of red hearts and flowers.

You can find the Tattoo Heart along with a huge selection of Impression Obsession stamps dedicated to love right HERE.

Keisha

When I wasn't reading in school, I was drawing figures, girls mostly and all of them dressed in pretty outfits.  I've doodled all my life but I never became super skilled which is why I am so enamored with the Beautiful Girl line of stamps.  The girls are unique and gorgeously drawn which allows me to spend my time on the coloring.

Today I am featuring, Keisha which is the newest girl at Picket Fence Studios. Keisha is stunning and she even has a little surprise in her hair which you will notice as you color! Fussy cutting isn't my favorite thing, therefore, I love that Keisha comes with a coordinating die!  I paper pieced Keisha's headphones and dress to match the background and added a sentiment from the Simply Wonderful set.

I am playing along with this week's SCS Featured Stamper: Melody!  Melody is such a sweetie.  I have a beautiful blue paper ornament from Melody that I hang on my tree every year.  Congrats Melody!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Here's one more look at the sets featured today.

Impression Obsession Challenge

It's time for a new Impression Obsession challenge

Holiday Greetings (any holiday)

For my Holiday Greetings card, I am featuring the Curly Ribbon stamp and gold embossing to create a New Years card.  I adore this Curly Ribbon stamp!  Simply change the color and you have a card for any occasion!  I framed my ribbon in black using the Rectangle 6 -1 Frames die.  The sentiment is from the Skinny Words set which includes eight sentiments for many occasions.  The center of the ribbon is a large brown gem which did not match my gold ribbon so I dipped it in Versamark ink.  Next, I coated it with embossing powder and heat set.  Isn't that fun?

Now it's your turn! Head on over to the  Impression Obsession blog to see all the challenge samples from the design team and details on entering the challenge. You can enter to win a $25 gift certificate from IO by linking up your Holiday Greetings card.   The winning project will be chosen at random and will be showcased on the IO blog!

With this card, I am also playing along with the SCS, WT719 Challenge to use Bling!

Cookies!

I had a blast creating a plate of cookies for this week's Inspiration Challenge at SCS!  Once I spotted THIS photo I looked no further for inspiration.  Nicole has outdone herself with the new stamp set Cookie or Donut?  This set has so many fun cookie and donut decorations plus there is a coordinating die!

To create the plate I die cut the circle and then even though it doesn't show I embossed a center circle for an authentic plate look.  :)  I was inspired by a pretty china plate I own so I added little flowers around the edge of the plate.  The inspiration photo has little candy hearts scattered around the counter so I scattered a trio of hearts using the cute little heart trio stamp included in this set.

In case you missed it we celebrated the new Picket Fence Release yesterday.  HERE is a look at all the new stamps and dies for December!

Enjoy Every Moment and a Picket Fence Studios Release

It's Picket Fence Release Day and we have beautiful new designs to share!  First up, I created a card with the gorgeous Sierra Girl stamp set.  Sierra Girl has been a part of the Beautiful Girl line but now she has a coordinating die!  The die makes cutting around all those fabulous curls super easy.  This is going to go to my friend Cierra.  She has a warm hug for everyone she meets and you just can't be sad in her presence so I used a very appropriate sentiment from Rustic Flowers.

Next up I used the fabulous Spotlight on You stamp set.  The sun rays stamp is so pretty and there are numerous ways to use it.  I stamped the sun in a corner and I paired it with Kylee Boo.  Isn't she sweet? Kylee Boo also has a coordinating die but for this card, I stamped Kylee directly on the layer.  For the sentiment, I masked off the last two words and stamped just the beginning of the sentence.

I colored the bubbles blue then added Wink of Stella and as a finishing touch, I added glossy accents to the bubbles. I love running my fingers over those cute little glossy bubbles!  I am playing along with the Tea Pot challenge at SCS and this card will go to a dear lady who turns 99 this week!

I hope you will stop by tomorrow since I have a plate of cookies to share with you featuring the Cookie or Donut? Stamp set!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Impression Obsession Winter Hugs Hop!  For me, Day 2 is all about hearts!

For this card, I used the D17251 Heart Balloon and a sentiment from the Skinny Words sentiment set.   I stamped the balloon three times and "tied" them with a ribbon.  The skinny words sentiments fit with a wide variety of images!

Christmas Packages Tied up in Bows

I love the dramatic look of red, white, and black so I put it to work on this Christmas card.  This plaid pattern reminds me of a gorgeous dress I had back in my 20's. I loved that dress!
This was simple to create and so much fun.  I popped up the package on craft foam and created the bow.  I stamped the sentiment on a tag and tied it around the ribbon.   The sweet sentiment is from Luke 2 by The Project Bin.

The idea to create this card featuring a Christmas present came from Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Wrap it Up

First up I am featuring C13744 Chocolate Breakfast.  I adore this sentiment, it's such a hoot!!  I made my own little paper chocolate to go with the sentiment. I can't imagine having to get through winter without chocolate!

Next up I stamped and decorated this sweet chocolate with the WP898 Chocolate Builder set.  This set comes with four fun chocolates, three wrappers, four decorations, and three sentiments!  I have included the stamp set below so you can check it out!

Now that your mouth is watering for yummy chocolate I am switching it up with a fun celebration card featuring F20615 Curly Ribbon. This ribbon is so much fun to create with!  Just a hint of highlights on the edges of the ribbon really causes the ribbon to pop.   Curly ribbon can be used for any occasion just by changing the color.  Red, white and blue for 4th of July,  red and green for Christmas, the possibilities are endless!  For my card, I created a birthday card and added the "celebrate" sentiment from the 3213-LG Skinny Words stamp set. You can view all the fun sentiments in this set at the end of this post.
am entering these pretty ribbons in a CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more inspiration and another chance to win!
