Hi! It's Day 5 of the spectacular IO In Love with Spring Release! I hope you have enjoyed this amazing week but it's not over yet, tomorrow is the last day so stop back by for another chance to win!
Today's cards are bright and colorful inspired by the F4A516 Challenge at SCS! The wonderful thing about paper crafting is that I can indulge in all of my whims! Most of the time I love mostly white space but I also love bright, beautiful colors so today I am sharing my colorful side!
This is one of my favorite backgrounds that I made at Lydia's Unwind retreat. Oh, I could get lost in it! Lydia calls the background technique, Hurricane Wrap so I thought it would pair well with the Storms sentiment. While I was deciding the layout, I had a giggle moment and just had to add a black cat from the Cat Set. I love how it seems she is looking right into the eye of the storm.
This is a bit of an inside joke because our black cat was named Storm. She wasn't named storm because she found us on a rainy night (which did happen) but because she was a STORM. She blew into our lives with a wail and ran around our home like a gusty gale, knocking everything off in her path! I loved her with everything!
Even though I have made light fun with this sentiment I truly do embrace the real meaning. Sometimes the storms of life blow away things we don't need and clear our paths for the future.

My next card is another colorful creation! This time I am featuring new Seth Apter stamps from the IO Release. The fun thing about this background is that it is a rescue piece. I added too much water when I was using the Double Love stamp thereby obliterating the double heart. Instead of trashing the background I set it aside for later use and found it worked beautifully with a spiral from the Spirals stamp set. Lastly, I added a sentiment from Journal Jargon 7.
Now for a few details regarding the hop! Each day (January 6th - January 11th ) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog at 6am.
Every single blog will have a $25 gift certificate to give away for the event - so the more you comment through our Release Celebration the more chances to win! All comments for all of the event days will be open until Sunday, January 12th at noon CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 14th.
