Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 181 - Fall Scene

Hi everyone!  I hope you are enjoying this FALL weekend!  As you are reading this I am probably headed back from our family FALL camping trip!  October is our favorite month to camp. The air is cool and crisp, the leaves softly floating to the ground! We have view to a fabulous fall scene each morning as we make breakfast and speaking of FALL SCENES  our challenge this week at Speedy Fox & Friends is to create a FALL SCENE.  (how did you like that smooth segue?)  Now on to my card!

 I created my scene using the mini stamp set Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a HC  "Pumpkins & Sunflowers".

I kept it fairly simple because, yep, I played HYCCT again with this one!  The challenge was CAS with orange and or red.  I have a little bit of both in those apples!

Welcome to day three of the hop!  Today's featured set is "Huge Blooms" and I have two cards to share using this fabulous flower.  For the first one I used the Large bloom.  I heat embossed the bloom with white EP then water colored with TH distress markers. 

For my second card I used the pink spritzed panel that has been sitting on my desk since DTGD and I stamped the bloom, then I colored it in with colored pencils and OMS, finishing it off with white gel pen highlights.

 I played along with the MIX36 Challenge at SCS (anything goes) where Dina Kowel shared a gorgeous card using white marker on her flower.  I am also playing along with HYCCT1303 Pink Pinterest Photos. I chose to use the PINK frames as my inspiration and framed my blossom with a Pink Spellbinders Fler De Lis Rectangle.

I combined today's card with the Lydia's HYCCT challenge at SCS to pop up an object through a  shaped opening in the front of the card.

If you stopped by my blog yesterday, you might have read that I was going to share the FEATURED set all week.  For today's peek at "Works of Art" I used this stamp on the back and I will sign my name and date it.

There are so many gorgeous sentiments in this set that I decided to just use a sentiment for my next card.  I chose this gorgeous piece of DP that begs not to be covered up and added the sentiment on a Spellbinders Labels Four die cut.  This card is entered into the HYCCT1301C challenge at SCS to make a one or two layer card - FLAT is FABULOUS!

For my first card I painted the background with TH Dusty Concord Distress Stain.  I heat embossed the desert floor and Wise men with black EP.  The stars are heat embossed with white EP.

For this card I heat embossed with brown EP directly on the music DP.

Top Dog Dies and exciting news to share!

Hi there!   I have some exciting news to share today.  AccuCut is launching a brand new online store and I was selected to be a part of the new design team!  I am having so much fun creating with Top Dog Dies and can't wait to show you the fabulous projects that can be dreamed up with these dies!

For my first project  I chose to play along with HYCCT1304 at SCS.  The challenge is to use punches and/or dies so I had a blast using my Top Dog Dies.  

For the purse base I used Top Dog Dies Purse Card (A2) Die TW035 .

Speedy Fox & Friends 180 - Snow Scene

Happy Saturday!  If you have some crafty time set aside this week here is a fun challenge you might enjoy playing!   Speedy Fox & Friends challenge this week is to create a Snow Scene.  I had a lot of fun with the challenge and I hope you will join us right HERE for all the details and wonderful inspiration from my teammates!

I used two of Mark's Finest Papers "selections sets" to create my scene.  The church is from "Christmas Selections" and the  trees in the forefront are from "Mountain Selections".  A few snowflakes punched with MS snowflake punch completed the design.
