Beachside Critters for the SweetMissDaisy Designs Release!

Hello everyone! I have three fun cards to share featuring the June Release from SweetMissDaisy Designs! This release is packed with adorable critters enjoying all the best parts of summer, making it perfect for seasonal cards, challenges, and happy mail.

Soakin' Up Sunshine

My first card features the Cool Summer stamp set paired with papers from the Citrus Paper Pack. The bright colors made it a perfect fit for the wallpaper inspiration photo from this week's Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge.

I started by creating a selfie-style frame and stamped the beach-going snowman inside it. The background is a soft yellow pattern from the Citrus Paper Pack, and since the inspiration photo included touches of yellow, green, orange, and red, I incorporated those colors throughout the scene. To finish the design, I popped up a sunshine die-cut from the Citrus Paper Pack and added the cheerful "Soakin' Up Sunshine" sentiment.

Just Chillin'

Next up are these adorable chickens enjoying an ice cream treat from the Just Sand stamp set. For this card, I added a 2½" x 5½" star-filled border along the right side and die-cut a navy scalloped circle to frame the image.

The papers come from the new Stars and Stripes Paper Pack, which adds a fun patriotic feel to the design. Even though the card doesn't specifically mention the Fourth of July, the red, white, and blue color palette makes it perfect for summer celebrations and holiday greetings. I finished the card with a sentiment from the Just Chillin' stamp set.

I'll be entering this card in the Splitcoaststampers Free 4 All Challenge, where the theme is "Chillin'."

Beachside Kitty

Lastly, let's take a look at the Beachside stamp set! I selected the sweet kitty drifting along the beach from the four adorable images included in the set.

This stamp set is wonderful for scene building. After stamping the main image, I added a bright sun and two fluffy clouds to create a cheerful beach day. The background paper is from the Citrus Paper Pack, layered with white cardstock and the image panel.

I colored the scene using deep blues, bright yellows, and a pop of red to capture the fun energy of summer. This card will be entered into the #SSSIGChallenge @SimonSaysChallenge, where the theme is "Make a Scene."

If you'd like to recreate any of these cards, you'll find all of the new stamps and papers used here in the

Chillin' at the F4ALL Challenge

Hello friends!

We're "chillin'" at the Free For All Challenge on Splitcoaststampers this week, and I couldn't resist pulling out this adorable snowman and chicken image from SweetMissDaisy Designs! This whimsical winter scene was the perfect fit for the challenge and brought a bright burst of color to my crafting table.

To create the background, I layered patterned paper panels from the Lavender Field and Home Paper Packs by SweetMissDaisy Designs. The rich purples and warm golden tones in the papers inspired the color palette for the entire card.

Next, I stamped the snowman image from the Happy Cluckin' Winter stamp set onto a stitched panel and colored it with markers. I gave the snowman a brilliant purple hat and scarf to coordinate with the background papers and added a few stamped snowflakes in the sky for extra winter charm.

To enhance the playful chicken theme, I stamped the extra chicken included in the set, colored him to match the scene, and popped him up near the packages. I also die-cut a decorative fence and tucked it behind the image panel, adding both dimension and a fun farm-inspired touch.

The finishing touch was the "Happy Cluckin' Winter" sentiment, which perfectly captures the lighthearted feel of this card. The combination of bright colors, snowy details, and whimsical characters makes this a cheerful winter card that's sure to chase away the winter blues.

If you'd like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used in the SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop. Of course, this design can easily be adapted using your favorite winter stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Handmade cards are such a wonderful way to share creativity while sending something meaningful to friends and family.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own chillin' winter cards!

Snow Time in Blue and Pink

Hello! It's June 1st, and that means it's time for a brand-new Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge! There is something so satisfying about adding a few holiday cards to the stash during the warmer months. Future me is always grateful when December arrives and I already have a collection of handmade cards ready to mail.

For today's card, I combined two adorable SweetMissDaisy Designs snowman stamp sets to create a soft pastel winter scene filled with snowy charm.

I began by selecting a piece of light blue cardstock and embossing it with a snowflake embossing folder. To highlight the texture, I rolled Moonlight White ink over the raised snowflakes using a brayer. The effect is subtle but beautiful, creating gentle variations in color that give the background extra dimension without overpowering the design.

Next, I stamped the Watering Can Snowman image onto a die-cut panel and colored his hat, scarf, gloves, and sweater in soft pink tones. I love how the pink accents create a whimsical winter feel that is a little different from traditional holiday colors.

To continue the snowy theme, I added three die-cut snowflakes and finished each one with a blue gem center for a bit of sparkle. The sentiment, "It's Snow Time," comes from the Snowman and Fence stamp set. I stamped it onto a die-cut tag and, instead of tying ribbon through the opening, added a coordinating blue gem for a clean and simple finishing touch.

The result is a soft pastel winter wonderland that feels cheerful, cozy, and perfect for a Christmas card.

If you'd like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop. You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, embossing folders, and coloring techniques. Card making is a wonderful way to share creativity while sending something meaningful and handmade. I hope this project inspires you to build your holiday stash before the winter rush!

Pockets Full of Birthday Cheer

Mini Pocket Cards

Hello friends! Today I am showcasing two handmade mini pocket cards featuring papers and stamps from the newest SweetMissDaisy Designs May Release. I am also playing along with this week’s Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. These little pocket cards were so much fun to create and would be perfect for birthdays, happy mail, gift enclosures, or tucked into a larger card!

Let’s hop right to it!

Process

For my first mini pocket card, I selected a sheet of 6x6 Meow Paper from SweetMissDaisy Designs. I scored the paper at 3 inches, making sure the patterned paper would be right side up once folded. Next, I scored the bottom at 2 inches.

Using scissors, I cut along the 3-inch fold starting at the bottom edge and stopping at the 2-inch score line. Once folded, the project mimics a tiny card with a functional pocket. I rounded the edges of the pocket and folded down the top edge for a polished, finished look. Then I glued the side edges to create the pocket.

For the inside, I repeated the same process by folding the 2-inch section upward to create another pocket and adhered the edges in place.

Next, I die cut four tags. On one tag, I stamped the darling cupcake-carrying kitty from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set and colored her to coordinate with then Meow patterned paper. I tucked a blank tag into the inside pocket so there is space to write a personal message.

For the third tag, I stamped the adorable pup carrying a bone and colored him to coordinate with the Dog Prints patterned paper design.

I created a second mini pocket card using the same technique, this time featuring Dog Prints Paper. I absolutely love how the red paw print patterned paper contrasts with the black-and-white bone print on the folded pocket section. I finished the front with a “Make a Wish” sentiment for an extra festive touch.

These mini pocket cards may be small, but they are packed with charm and personality!

If you’d like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop. You can easily adapt this handmade pocket card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Card making is such a wonderful way to share creativity while sending something meaningful and handmade.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own handmade gifts and tiny pocket cards!

Ricky Raccoon and Text Paper Charm

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a handmade friendship card featuring the adorable Ricky Raccoon by SweetMissDaisy Designs. I created this card for the Splitcoaststampers challenge I am hosting this week, and our theme is all about using text or script on our designs.

One thing I really love about the Penelope’s Garden text stamp is that it allows me to create my own “book paper” look on sturdy cardstock. That means I can watercolor, blend inks, or use markers without worrying about thin book pages tearing or buckling. It’s such a fun and versatile technique for card making!

Process

I began by stamping the Penelope’s Garden text background onto a 4 x 4¼ inch piece of cardstock using Espresso Truffle ink by Memento. I love this softer brown shade because it gives the look of vintage book paper while allowing the focal image to stand out beautifully.

Next, I stamped the sweet Ricky Raccoon image by SweetMissDaisy Designs right in the center of the panel. I colored Ricky in rich browns and black tones, then added a soft lilac daisy for a gentle pop of color. The floral detail pairs perfectly with the spring-inspired patterned paper.

To finish the design, I added a coordinating banner and three tiny black gems for a simple embellishment. The green patterned paper and banner were both selected from the Spring Paper Pack by SweetMissDaisy Designs.

The sentiment says it perfectly: “I Couldn’t Pick a Better Friend.”

If you’d like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop. You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, book paper, embossing folders, or handwritten text techniques. Card making is such a wonderful way to share creativity while sending something meaningful and handmade.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own cheerful greeting featuring text or script backgrounds!

Let’s Celebrate: SweetMissDaisy May Release

Hello friends!

I’m so excited to share a few handmade cards featuring the brand new SweetMissDaisy Designs May Release. It's packed with personality, charm, and the sweetest characters—perfect for celebrating all kinds of occasions.

🎉 Let’s Celebrate Card

Let’s jump right in with a cheerful celebration card! I paired one of the adorable dogs and a cat from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set—they fit perfectly on a stitched panel and instantly bring the design to life.

For the background, I chose a playful patterned paper from the new Meow Paper Pack. The colors are so fun and vibrant! I added two die-cut banners—one in blue and one in green—layered across the top of the stitched panel to create a festive feel.

The “Let’s Celebrate” sentiment is stamped on a stitched label and popped up just below the banners for added dimension.

I had so much fun coloring the images—the kitty carrying a wrapped green package and the happy pup with raised paws create such a joyful scene together.

Playing along with the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. I was drawn to a cozy photo of a cat on a bed, and I carried those colors into my design:

  • Coral tones inspired the patterned paper
  • Green translated into one of the banners
  • Blue echoed in the second banner

It’s always fun to let inspiration guide your color palette in unexpected ways!

🦝 Ricky Raccoon Card

Next up is the darling new Ricky Raccoon—he is just the sweetest! If you loved Chippy or Little Stinker from previous releases, Ricky fits right into that same adorable style.

Since he’s holding a flower, I reached for the Daisies Paper Pack to create a soft, cheerful background panel. I added a yellow tab on the top for a pop of contrast and stamped Ricky on a layered panel, coloring his daisy to coordinate with the paper.

To finish the card, I added:

  • A small banner with a die-cut button
  • Gold sheer ribbon threaded through the button
  • A sweet “Hello My Friend” sentiment tag, also tied with ribbon

The details add just the right touch of warmth and personality.

☃️ Happy Cluckin’ Winter Card

And of course—it wouldn’t be a SweetMissDaisy release without a snowman! This new Happy Cluckin’ Winter set is full of whimsical charm.

I stamped the snowman onto a stitched panel and added the coordinating snowflakes, which feature the cutest tiny heart details. I also stamped and fussy-cut the extra chicken, popping him up on the right side for dimension.

The background features Fresh Worn Dots in a warm red, layered with a fun chicken wire die cut to tie in the theme.

The “Hope Your Holidays Are Egg-stra Cozy” sentiment and a sprinkle of sequins complete this playful winter design.

The stamps and papers from this release—and so much more—are available in the SweetMissDaisy Designs Shop.

You can easily adapt these handmade card designs using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Building a collection of SweetMissDaisy Designs products makes mixing and matching especially fun!

If you love Ricky’s style, you might also enjoy Chippy and Little Stinker. And if snowmen are your favorite, be sure to check out Cozy Wishes for another adorable winter option.

Clean & Cozy Handmade Snowman Christmas Card

Hello friends,

Today I’m sharing a handmade snowman Christmas card created for the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge—and I’m still a little in disbelief that we’re already in May! It feels like April just slipped right past without warning.

For this project, I kept things clean and classic with plenty of white space to let the focal image shine. I started by die-cutting a square layer and stamping the Snowman with Fence image from SweetMissDaisy Designs. The sweet snowman came to life with a pop of Christmas red on his scarf and hat band—simple coloring that instantly gives a festive feel.

To add a touch of seasonal detail, I die-cut two holly branches from green patterned paper in the Fresh Worn Dots paper pack from SweetMissDaisy Designs and tucked them into the upper corner of the design. Three red sequins finish the look, acting as bright little berries where the branches meet.

I popped up the snowman panel with foam adhesive and placed it toward the top of the card base, keeping the layout airy and balanced. Below the image, I stamped the sentiment “Our friendship is the best thing in any season” directly onto the card base. The result is a wintery, heartfelt design with a clean and cozy feel.

This layout is easy to customize—simply swap in your favorite stamps, papers, or color palette to make it your own. Cardmaking is such a meaningful way to share creativity and connection, especially during the holiday season.

If you’d like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps and papers I used over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs shop.

And if you enjoyed this card, you might also like my Snowman in Lavender and Watering Can Snowman designs.

Snowman in Lavender - Handmade Card

 Hello friends,

Today I’m sharing a cozy winter card featuring a sweet snowman from SweetMissDaisy Designs—this time with a soft lavender twist. There’s something so calming about bringing gentle, unexpected color into winter designs, and lavender adds just the right touch of warmth to an otherwise snowy scene.

For this card, I am participating in the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper challenge. I chose a beautiful snowman design by Heather and reimagined it with a lavender theme, echoing her scarf while adding my own vintage-style layers.

I started with a patterned background from the Spring Paper Pack by SweetMissDaisy Designs. The soft tones worked perfectly to support the winter theme while keeping everything light and airy. I stamped the Snowman and Fence image onto a square panel and colored his scarf and hatband in lavender for a gentle pop of color.

To build dimension and texture, I stamped the Received Ledger and trimmed it down as a layer behind the snowman. I tucked die cut snowflakes behind the focal panel for a bit of snowy detail and movement.

For that layered vintage feel, I added the “No. 587” element from the Daisy Bouquet set and framed it using a frame from Rooster & Sunflowers. Mixing stamp sets like this is one of my favorite ways to create something unique and full of character.

The sentiment, “May peace and happiness surround you, today and always,” is placed along the bottom of the card. I lightly distressed the framed number, sentiment, and ledger using distress inks to tie everything together in a soft, vintage lavender palette.

As a finishing touch, I added a spiral clip tied with a lavender ribbon for a bit of texture and charm.

If you’d like to recreate this look, you can find the stamps, papers, and coordinating elements I used over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs shop—there are so many beautiful options to mix, match, and make your own.

You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques for any season. Card making is such a meaningful way to share creativity while sending something heartfelt and handmade.

I love getting a jump on winter cards—do you?

God Wrote Your Love Story

God Wrote Your Love Story – Handmade Anniversary Card with Lavender Wedding Inspiration

There’s something especially meaningful about creating a handmade card that reflects a genuine love story—one you’ve had the joy of witnessing from the very beginning.

This week, my daughter and son-in-law are celebrating their 3rd anniversary, and I couldn’t wait to create something just for them using the Bound by Love stamp set from Pajama Crafter Stamps. As I sat down to design, my thoughts drifted back to their wedding day… the soft lavender accents, the joy in their smiles, and yes, my son-in-law looking especially sharp in his lavender suit. They truly made the sweetest bride and groom.

We don’t get to see them nearly as often as we’d like because of the distance, but that makes every visit feel even more special. Watching their love story continue to unfold has been such a gift.

For this card, I wanted every detail to echo their wedding day. I started with a lavender card base, setting the tone right from the beginning. I layered a panel measuring 3 7/8" x 5 1/2" and stamped the bride and groom image toward the bottom, grounding the design.

Coloring was where the magic really happened. I added subtle purple highlights first, then layered in deeper tones to bring dimension and life to the hair and faces. It created such a romantic effect—perfect for an anniversary card inspired by their wedding colors. I think my daughter will like how I colored her hair!

To add a delicate, lacy touch, I used the Stitched Scalloped Border Die (terrific price while supplies last!) to create a lavender panel and paired it with a shorter white layer. This detail at the top brings in that classic wedding elegance that I always love.

Finally, I added the sentiment: “God wrote your love story beautifully.” It felt like the perfect finishing touch—simple, meaningful, and true.

One thing I love most about card making is how easily you can personalize a design like this. You can swap in your favorite stamps, patterned papers, or coloring techniques to reflect the people and moments you’re celebrating.

Handmade cards have a special way of carrying love across the miles, and this one was truly made from the heart.

I hope this project inspires you to create something meaningful for the special people in your life.

Thank You in Bloom - Handmade Card

 Hi friends!

Today I’m sharing a handmade thank-you card featuring the beautiful Daisy Bouquet stamp set from SweetMissDaisy Designs. Several creative challenges inspired this card, and I had so much fun letting each one guide a different part of the design.

I began by visiting this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper challenge. I browsed through Donna’s gorgeous gallery, focusing on her floral cards since I knew I wanted to use my Daisy Bouquet set. There were so many lovely designs to choose from—I changed my layout more than once (haha!)—but I ultimately landed on her Swap Card from September 2009 as my inspiration.

For my background, I chose a rich violet patterned paper from the Daisies paper pack and trimmed it to 2 1/4" x 5 1/2", layering it onto my card base. That deep color really sets the tone and makes the florals pop.

Next, I created the focal panel, cutting it to 3 1/4" x 4 3/4". I stamped the daisy bouquet and added a scalloped edge along the bottom for a soft, decorative touch. I colored the flowers in shades of violet to tie everything together with the background.

To add a playful detail, I stamped a small flying bee just about to land on a bloom. This helped me join in this month’s Instagram #SSSIGChallenge (Things with Wings), and I love how it adds a bit of movement to the design.

For the finishing touch, I stamped a “thank you” sentiment on a small scalloped circle and added a delicate golden bow. It’s simple, but it brings a little extra charm to the card.

This card also fits beautifully with this month’s Splitcoaststampers Theme and Word Game challenges, as well as the Art Nudge inspiration (#426D), which features a daisy with a lovely violet center—such a perfect match!

You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Card-making is such a meaningful way to share creativity and send a little kindness through the mail.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own handmade thank-you cards!

Seed Packet Wishes with a Vintage Twist

Hello everyone!

A blend of creativity inspired today’s vintage seed packet handmade card from a couple of challenges at Splitcoaststampers along with this week’s Art Nudge—and I have to say, I love how these layered ideas came together into one cohesive design.

For the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge, a beautiful tile site filled with rich patterns and colors inspired us. The Angelic Simple Wildflower tile with its deep navy background, sunflower-like center, and accents of red and light blue, inspired my design. I leaned into those rich tones for my card, choosing to focus on the navy, sunflower yellow, and red, while letting the lighter blue fall away.

Next, I incorporated the Splitcoaststampers Monthly Theme and Sketch Challenge into my layout. The sketch provided a wonderful structure, guiding me to include a circular focal element, which worked perfectly with my overall design.

Finally, I drew inspiration from Art Nudge 426C, which features a softly vintage image of a teacup with a flower floating inside. While I didn’t include a literal teacup or daisy, the round composition, the floral focal point, and the gentle, aged feel of the image inspired me.

Process:
I started with a navy background to echo the richness of the tile inspiration. For the focal layers, I die cut a scalloped circle using patterned paper from the Peas & Carrots paper pack by SweetMissDaisy Designs, following the sketch layout. I layered an additional patterned circle on top to add depth and interest.

For the main element, I stamped the seed packet image from the Sow with Love stamp set and customized it with a sunflower to reflect the tile’s focal design. After fussy-cutting the packet, I rounded the corners and added distressing with Vintage Photo and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Inks to give it that worn, time-loved look.

To finish the card, I added a “Dear Friend” sentiment on a soft oval tag, keeping the overall feel warm and heartfelt.

Although I didn’t directly include a teacup or daisy, I love how the influence of the Art Nudge still comes through in the circular shapes, floral theme, and vintage styling.  Play along with a chance to win a prize at the Art Nudge Blog.

You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. You’ll find a wonderful selection of stamps, papers, and tools to get started over at the SweetMissDaisy Designs shop.

Cardmaking is such a meaningful way to share creativity and connection. I hope this project inspires you to create something special for a dear friend.

Two Souls, One Sweet Forever - Handmad Card

Hello friends, today I’m sharing a sweet handmade wedding card featuring the Bound by Love stamp set by Pajama Crafter Stamps. There’s something so special about this set—the images feel tender and full of meaning, making it perfect for celebrating life’s sweet moments.

You can find even more beautiful stamps, coordinating papers, and must-have tools to inspire your creativity over at the Pajama Crafter Stamps store. 💛

For the background, I chose a piece from the Savanna Neutrals paper pack. The gentle tones create such a calm and romantic foundation, and I love how they let the focal image quietly shine.

I die cut a stitched layer and stamped the sweet wedding couple front and center. I have to admit, I completely lost myself in the coloring on this one—in the best way. It’s such a lovely scene to bring to life. I added soft blue and white tones to the cake to echo the background paper, tying everything together with a subtle, cohesive feel.

Above the couple, I stamped the sentiment “Two souls, one sweet forever,” which feels just right for this meaningful occasion. The image itself includes delicate hearts along the sides, so I added a few tiny heart gems to highlight those details and add just a touch of sparkle.

You can easily adapt this handmade card design using your favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Cardmaking is such a wonderful way to share your creativity while sending something meaningful and handmade. I hope this project inspires you to create your own handmade cards—whether for weddings, springtime, or simply to send a little cheer to someone special.

Blooming Thanks in a Mason Jar

Hi friends!

Today's project is a mason jar card. This week at the Splitcoaststampers Free for All Challenge, we are creating projects inspired by containers. For my project, I couldn’t resist the gorgeous Jar and Flowers stamp set from SweetMissDaisy Designs. There’s something so timeless and comforting about a mason jar filled with fresh blooms.

My Process

I started with a top-fold card base and layered on a strip of purple patterned paper (3 1/2" x 5 1/2") from the Daisies paper pack. This gave the card a bold, cheerful border for the image layer.

Next, I created my focal panel (2 3/4" x 5 1/2"). I stamped the mason jar first, then added the bouquet inside—this process helps ground the flowers naturally within the container.

I got the idea for the colors from ArtNudge #426D. I chose a blue-green color for the jar and a cheerful mix of flowers for the inside. To add a soft finishing touch, I tied a white satin bow at the top of the jar.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “thank you” above the arrangement. And for just a bit of whimsy—I added a tiny bee buzzing in to visit the flowers. I love how that minor detail brings the entire scene to life!

Challenge Inspiration

I’m also playing along with the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge #1000—what an amazing milestone! My inspiration came from a beautiful card featuring blue boots used as a container for flowers. I carried over the idea of a uniquely colored container and bright florals but swapped the boots for a mason jar and traded butterflies for a single buzzing bee.

Wrap-Up

The design of this mason jar card is easy to customize with your favorite stamps, papers, and coloring styles. Handmade thank you cards are such a meaningful way to share a little creativity and kindness.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own container-themed card!

Waiting For Your Footprints - Handmade Pet Card

Waiting for Your Footsteps – A Heartfelt Handmade Pet Card for National Pet Week

Happy National Pet Week! This week, Pajama Crafter Stamps is celebrating all week long over on Instagram, and today it’s my turn to share a card inspired by one very special pup.

Last week, I created a card featuring Gimli, my sister’s adorable new rescue. It only felt right that this week Bilbo Baggins—my grand dog—gets his moment of fame! 💛

There’s just something so comforting about the way our pets wait for us. Whether it’s by the door or just around the corner, they always seem to know when we’re coming home. That feeling became the heart of today’s card.

Card Design & Process

I started with a piece of golden patterned paper from the Birthday Bash paper pack by Pajama Crafter Stamps. Even though it’s a subtle detail in the finished card, the soft texture adds such a beautiful warmth and elevates the entire design beyond simple cardstock.

Next, I die cut a clean layer and stamped the Forever Loved image—perfect for capturing that loyal, loving spirit our pets give so freely.

For my color palette, I leaned into cheerful primary tones:

  • Bright blue for the bold, door
  • Warm yellow for the lightpost glow
  • Rich browns for Bilbo
  • Pops of bright red for the hearts

And those sweet little hearts? They’re actually from the Dinomite Birthday set! I love mixing and matching stamps—it’s such a fun way to stretch your supplies and create something uniquely yours.

I finished the card with a simple labeled sentiment:
“Always waiting for your footsteps.”
Such a small phrase, but it carries so much love.

I couldn't resist a bit of sparkle on the lamppost, hearts, doorknob, and keyhole!

A Little Pet Love

Do your pets wait for your footsteps too? Our cats are usually nearby when we come in—and if they aren’t at the door, they appear within seconds as if they’ve been there all along. 🐱

I’d love to hear about your pets—past or present—and their names. There’s something so special about sharing those memories.

Make It Your Own

This design is easy to adapt:

  • Use your own pet’s coloring for a personalized touch
  • Swap colors for different moods or seasons
  • Turn it into a Rainbow Bridge card for a heartfelt tribute

Card making is such a beautiful way to combine creativity with meaning—especially when it celebrates the animals who bring so much love into our lives.

If you’d like more inspiration, you might enjoy last week’s card featuring Gimli with a pop of color in that teal door—or for fellow cat lovers, my Meowentine Magic project!

Sending Springtime Love (and a Bunny or Two!)

Sending You Love This Easter (and Beyond!)

Sending you warm Easter greetings my way… with a card or two! Today I’m sharing a pair of handmade cards featuring SweetMissDaisy Designs with a soft Easter feel—though both designs could easily be used for any sweet spring occasion.

There’s something about this time of year that invites us to slow down, reflect, and remind the people in our lives just how much they mean to us. With that spirit in mind, I created these sweet, simple, heartfelt, and charming cards.

For my first card, I used the Lamb stamp set along with Spring Paper from SweetMissDaisy Designs. I had so much fun filling each section of the Postage Collage die with bits of patterned paper and those darling baby chicks.  The sentiment, “You are Loved,” is really the heart of this card.

My second card features the adorable bunny from the Hoppin’ By stamp set. I stamped the bunny onto a banner with the sentiment, “Hopping by to say I love you,” which feels just right for this time of year. I paired it again with Spring Paper to keep everything light, fresh, and cohesive.

One of my favorite things about both designs is how adaptable they are. You can easily recreate these layouts using your own favorite stamps, patterned papers, and coloring techniques. Whether you’re crafting for Easter, spring birthdays, or just because, handmade cards are such a meaningful way to connect.

Card-making truly is a beautiful way to share creativity while sending a little kindness into the world—and I hope these projects inspire you to create something special today.
