You Rule!!! - CPS 262

Phew!  What a hectic week!  I volunteered at both schools and at church this week and we had a birthday celebration for DH!!!  I did find time to squeez  in this fun sketch challenge last night!!!  Since it's that time of year again my thoughts are turning to teacher gifts and cards.  I couldn't get a good angle to show it but the shoes, belt and head band are shiny with glossy accents.  I layered the notebook paper with additional pages!

Oh Fudge!

I really had fun with this card!  I am working on my DP mixing and matching skills so for this card I just ran with it!  One thing I enjoy about MFT stamps is how easy it is to paper piece!  I went crazy with paper piecing on this one!!!  The wallpaper and floor, the blue chair, the flowers on the chair and last but not least .....as DD called them "her funky pants"!

I made this card for my neighbor who watched our cats while we went camping..  I am late...again!!!  The vertigo I had that week kind of threw everything back a bit.  It takes me a good week to get my bearings again after these episodes so.............I am late in getting my thank you....but hopefully she will think this card is worth the wait???!!!!

Challenges Entered:
Crazy 4 Challenges

Paper: SEI Desert Springs
Stamp: MFT Here's the Scoop

Live, Laugh, Love - CPS #261 and F4A113

Here is a card I made for the challenge over at CPS Card sketches #261.  I used this gorgeous butterfly stamp from MFP a Heinrich Co.: "Today, Tomorrow and Always" .
I had a bit of fun with the coloring.  I stamped the butterfly on cardstock twice.  I painted with Memento blue ink and then painted over that with Perfect Pearls Forever Blue to give it some shine.  In the next photo you can see how the butterfly is layered!
I enjoyed using SCS Free 4 all challenge which was mix and match at least 2 DP. There are red dots in the yellow DP so I thought it would be fun to use that as the BG color!  My sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps: Formal Sentiments and the DP is BasicGrey: Picadilly.

I used some of my Prize ribbon from REALLY REASONABLE RIBBON.   I have been a little afraid of bows and ribbon but I am watching tutorials over and over to try and get them right!!!  LOL
