FOSTV 35 - Labor Day

Good Monday morning!!!!  I hope you had a good weekend!  It's Monday and back to routine but let's take a time out and check out FOSTV Challenge.  The challenge this week is to make a Labor    Day card.  I don't know about you but this was a challenge for me!!!  I thought about Labor Day and how we celebrate it.  Well, we don't really!  It's a day off from school but since DH works most Labor days we don't do anything except hang out at the house and RELAX!  With that idea in mind I went to work on my card using the sentiment "Relax".  

I chose MFP a Heinrch Co. : Tree Greetings and for the sentiment, MFP a Heinrch Co.Silly Shells.  The paper is Paper Studio: Bella Bohemia and the fun shapes are SU! Framelits Labels Collection.  Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great week!

Speedy Fox & Friends 122 - Use a different fold

Happy weekend!  Our challenge at Speedy Fox & Friends this week is to use a different fold.  If you need some help getting started on some different folds you can find tutorials on Speedy TV,  youtube and at SCS including the one I used called Circular Side Step Card.     I can't wait to see all the fun folds linked up this week right HERE!

                        

Our middle school Principal was honored this week as "National Middle Level Principal of the Year"!!  Our son attended for 3 years and now it is our daughter's turn.  Dr. Barron works hard to bring out the best in approx. 700 students each year!!! 

 I thought it would be fun to use MFP a Heinrich Co.  - Lesson Learned  and make a card for Dr. Barron.  Copics and Marvy Alcohol markers were used for the coloring.   The DP is BasicGrey Oxford and comes with 2 pages of those cute glasses!!!!  Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!!!

Speedy Fox & Friends 121 - Friendship

Hello!  Happy weekend everyone!!! I hope you have some crafty plans this weekend!  The challenge at  Speedy Fox and Friends  this week is a fun one.  Our challenge is to make a Friendship card.  I don't have a "friend" sentiment so I am using "You are Appreciated" from MFP a Heinrich Co. "Welcome Poppies".   My image is from the brand new stamp set: "Bring On the Sun"  and it's in the store now!!

FOSTV 33 - Color Challenge

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Ours was nice since we didn't go ANYWHERE the entire day Saturday!  BLISS!!!

 Our challenge this week at FOSTV is a color challenge.  We are using Pink, Pale Green, (Cream or grey) on our cards this week.  This is going to be a fun week for me to look at all your beautiful creations because pink is my FAVORITE color!  

I am sneak peeking this FABULOUS set by MFP a Heinrich Co. aptly called "Tree Greetings".   The August stamp set release with a blog hop will be going on later this week so check out what the DT has made with these awesome new stamp sets and you could win a prize!!!  

 I just love this stately old tree and the rest of the stamp set is terrific too!!  I also had a blast using my brand new window die.  I have been wanting it since Dec.  I scored my pink (well mauve) paper to give a feeling of painted woodwork.  The cream "chair rail " is also scored.  The ribbons do a nice job covering up a mistake I made!  I tried a funkier kind of tie back the first time around but it didn't work out and when I went to remove it ...the glue stuck and left with me a blotch to hide!!!

Speedy Fox & Friends 120 - DOTS

Happy weekend to you!!!  Saturday is  Speedy Fox and Friends challenge at Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. and our challenge is to use dots this week.  Our DT has some wonderful dotty inspiration for you!  We hope you will join us HERE for this fun challenge and a chance to win a stamp set.

I think I mentioned awhile back that I forgot to make my daughter a birthday card for her 12th birthday.  How does a card maker forget something like that?  After her birthday  she showed me the stamps she wanted me to use and walked out of the room saying, "Dazzle me!"  Well.....when she saw this card today...she said, "I want this one!"  I am not sure I full out "dazzled" her but she liked the card the moment she saw it sitting on my work table..  She wants me to add some more bling so I will add some gemstones to the centers of the flowers and it's all hers!  Are you searching for the dots?  They are on the background DP.   I used two stamps from MFP a Heinrich Co.: Asian Delights and Garden Art.  The paper is from DCWV "The Gilded Orchard" which I purchased when I visited my sister in July. (happy memory!!)  I colored the butterflies with a mix of Copics & Marvy alcohol markers.  Thanks for looking!

FOSTV 32 - Chalk

It's Monday morning and that means two things!  It's back to school today and it's time for another challenge at Friends of Speedy TV!  Having challenges to play with the past few days has kept the "back to school blues" from overtaking me!  Even though this has been a BUSY summer, it's been fabulous and I am sad to see it end!!!

Summer vacation might be at an end at our house but there is LOTS of fun to be found at MFPSpeedy TV!!!  We have 5 challenges a week with a wonderful stamp set given away at each challenge to one random winner!!!  Today's challenge at  FOSTV is to use chalk!

 I used chalk to sponge around the heat embossed image and chalk around the sentiment.  I used the comedic stamp set  MFP a Heinrich Co."Flamingos on Vacation".   I just love the funny sentiments in this stamp set...and don't  we always want to know the answer to the question I placed on this card???!!  LOL  I used a "Dare to get Dirty" challenge for this one...anyone guess which one?

Speedy Fox and Friends 119 - Back to Nature

What a fun week of crafting this has been and we are not done yet!!!  This week's challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends is to get "Back to Nature".  Come and join us HERE for this fun challenge and a chance to win a stamp set.   For this challenge I chose to use MFP a Heinrich Co. "Christmas in the Country"  and for the sentiment MFP a Heinrich Co. "North American Woods".  Since I was thinking that this one would go to my husband,  I asked him about some paper choices.  He said, "Less is more" and when I showed him an idea I had, he said, "that looks like a woman, making a card for a man, but giving it to a woman"!!!  He is so funny!   I ended up going with the "less is more" plan.  Here's my "Back to Nature":
