The Project Bin, #BFF and Pantone 2017

Life would be very dull indeed without sweet friendship!

Friday, I had a full day of friendship encounters but managed a little creative time in between my morning walk with friends and dashing into town to meet up with a couple of friends.

Naturally, I turned to this sweet verse included in the #bff stamp set from The Project Bin.

I was inspired by the F4A365 challenge at Splitcoaststampers to use the Pantone color of the year, Greenery along with at least one other Pantone 2017 color.

For my color combo I chose, Greenery, Primrose Yellow, along with a combination of Niagara and Lapis Blue.  I am especially fond of the Pink Yarrow, which color is your favorite?
I masked a circle then sponged distress ink and one color box ink randomly inside the circle.  I sponged the same inks on white cardstock and punched out the butterflies and flowers for perfectly matched colors.

I added  "Wink of Stella" on the butterfly wings for a touch of sparkle!

Coincidence and The Project Bin

Happy Weekend to you!
When I first started stamping, I followed a group that created the most amazing cards with lots of designer paper layers.  Every month I would swoon at all the beautiful papers, and dies they would use to create sensational cards. Over the years I have experimented with many styles and I absolutely love all things watercolor. I can't pass up a new technique, and there's something special about a good CAS card but my first love in paper crafting is layered designer papers! I may or may not have gotten a little carried away with my love of designer papers, even my username at Splitcoaststampers tells my story, "ohmypaper!"!!
Today's card features designer paper and a fabulous sentiment from Wise Men which can be found in The Project Bin online store.

This is such a fun sentiment both in what it says and the font so I
went with a design that allows the sentiment to grab all the attention!

Thanks so very much for stopping by today!  You make my day!

Of All The Things.....with The Project Bin

Happy Weekend everyone!  I hope your weekend has some moments of relaxation and maybe even some crafty time! I am headed out to volunteer for a bit of my day with the Rise Against Hunger meal packaging program.  It's a wonderful thing to have a little part in filling empty tummies!
Before I head out today, I have a fun card to share featuring stamps and dies from The Project Bin!

For my first step, I found a sketch and a couple of challenges to play along with.  The sketch is SC630 found at Splitcoaststampers.  Next, I selected the "In My Heart" Stamp and die set.  I decided to use the "ghosting" technique for my main layer.  I stamped the adorable "xoxo" stamp with Versamark, watermark ink then sponged distress inks over the layer.

I stamped this sweet sentiment then die cut it with the heart die that is included in this set.
