A Wonderful Life

**Affiliate links used when possible at no additional cost to you!**

Hello!  It's time for the February Fan Club Christmas Challenge at SCS!  We have a really fun theme for 2022.  I can't share what the theme is or how this card fits but you can find out by heading over to the Fan Club Christmas Challenge.

I can tell you what I used to create this card.
The branch is from my days as a DT with Prickley Pear Stamps.  The Pine Branch Die is still sold at Prickley Pear stamps and I love using it.  The bell is part of the Impression Obsession Small Bell Ornament set and lastly, the sentiment is It's a Wonderful Life also from IO.

Retirement or Vacation

This week's Free 4 All Challenge will lift your spirits no matter what cold temp you are dealing with.  Jeanne has chosen Sunny Yellow for our challenge.  I LOVE using yellow on gray winter days.

To create my sunny yellow background I stamped Distress ink on acetate.  Next, I spritzed it with water and dabbed it on the cardstock.  The sentiment is a great one to use for someone who is retiring!

Thanks for looking!  If you make a sunny yellow card this week, make sure to send me a note so I can see what you create!

Hugs!

Chemistry plus New Sticky Mats!

*Affiliate Links used when possible with no added cost to you!*

Hello!  February is almost here; it's a great time to think about the people we love. I am up on the My Sweet Petunia Blog featuring this fun chemistry card and the new Sticky Mats!

The Sticky Mat is a time-saving tool you will want to add to your collection.  I really like it for stamping large background stamps as it holds the paper in place even when stamping multiple times.

First, I pulled off the plastic liner that protects the sticky part of the mat.  Next, I placed the centimeter grid inside the MISTI, sticky side up.  A piece of watercolor paper was placed on the sticky mat next a couple of centimeters away from the edge.  I love that the watercolor paper did not move even though I stamped the Bubbles background stamp multiple times to get a good bubble impression. It can be tricky to get a dark impression on watercolor paper so the sticky mat is fabulous!  As always, I used the Original MISTI for the main image and a Mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the tag. The sentiment is from Great Chemistry and the tag is Plaid Tag. Tip: I like to keep my stamps in the MISTIs until I am completely done with the project.  Lastly, I added a cute beaker from the Chemistry Bottles Die set.

The Sticky Mats are sold in a three-pack including quarter-inch, an eighth of an inch, and centimeter grids.

IO Die Cut Day - Tags and Ovals

It's Die Cut Day at Impression Obsession!

I used the sweet new Butterfly & Scallop Frame (without the butterfly) to highlight the Bunny Heart stamp.  The I Heart Bunnies background stamp is so much fun to use.  Some of the bunny hearts could be colored in or simply inked as I have done here.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Follow the Bunny stamp set.

Next up I had fun with die cuts and a small sentiment stamp.  I have a collection of backgrounds stamped with the Tooled Leather background stamp so I chose one and die cut it with the Stitched Tag.  I layered it on a piece die-cut from the Fish Net die.  I added another layer with the Crazy Stitched Set.  The little sentiment is But What If and would be a super cute stamp to use in a planner or journal!

Stop by the Impression Obsession Blog for a list of Designers featuring Die Cut projects.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

The Love of a Boy

Hello!  It's my turn to host the F4All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers and we decided it was time to celebrate the boys!  I chose this adorable boy from the Love Girls clear set.  One of the fun things about a clear set is the ability to manipulate it just a bit.  I slightly placed a cut in the solid plastic between the hearts in the rainbow.  This allowed the stamp to be stretched apart just enough for the hearts to around the boy's head instead of directly above it.

As always we would love for you to join us over at Splitcoaststampers, a FREE online community for paper crafters!

If you haven't hopped the January Impression Obsession Team Favorites  Hop & Giveaway there is still time!

IO Team Favorites Hop & Giveaway - My Favorite Treats

It's time to HOP the Team Favorites for February!

My favorite cards this month just so happen to feature my favorite treats, chocolate and ice cream!

First off one of my favorites features the Chocolate Lovers set.  I layered the sweet candy treat on a medallion from the 1 1/2 In Circle set, the Doilies Die, and the Tag with Lace.  The background layer was made by stamping the Tiny Vines in Sweet Petunia Pink ink.

I love ice cream so this was a fun one for me.  Once again, I made my own patterned paper.  I stamped the Tiny Squares on a distress ink layer and die cut it with the Cloud Border die.  The sentiment is More than Ice Cream.

The Impression Obsession Designers are sharing their favorite projects from this month’s release today!
We will be giving away THREE Impression Obsession Grab Bags - so the more you comment through our Favorites Hop the more chances to win! Comments will be open until Monday, January 24th at midnight CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 25th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Disguises

Hello, it's Watercolor Wednesday, and this week we are starting where we left off.  We are learning how to use compound strokes.  You can find out all the details HERE.  I used the Mini MISTI to add the New Beginnings IO sentiment stamp on the watercolor paper.

I wish this sentiment wasn't true, however, sometimes we do have to go through painful endings to get to the new.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope that all is well with you!

T is for Tulips and T-Ruler

Hello!  Today, I am up on the My Sweet Petunia blog with the new Pixel Tulip stamp and the brand new MIS-T Ruler.

The new MIS-T Ruler is a great add-on to your MISTI tool collection!  The ruler fits easily into the original size MISTI.  I placed my card along a grid line and I placed the ruler up against two sides of the MISTI.    Next, I placed the word die along the ruler edge for perfect alignment!

Well, you know what I always say, If I have a stamp in the MISTI why not make more than one card!  I changed the color combo for the next card and added a stamped sentiment from Impression Obsession.

Wishing you a healthy and safe day!!  Thanks for stopping by!
