Broken

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's time for a new Art Nudge on FB.  Everyone is welcome to create art and post in the group.

I have a banner of yellow woodgrain as in the photo.  My pot is blue with some Kintsugi repair.  The pot was taken from the Summer Herbs stamp and the rest were masked off.  I was inspired by a previous SCS challenge that encouraged us to create with Kintsugi art form in mind.  When I saw the fabulous Broken sentiment I knew that I wanted to create a cracked pot and fill it with a bit of gold.

I would love to know if you have been creating during the last few weeks?  Some of us have a little more time on our hands but some of us are busier than ever.  I am wondering if you fall in the first category have you taken advantage of any online challenges?

Love, hugs and prayers!

Oh Dear

Today is Featured Stamper day at SCS and we are celebrating Gloria!  Our cards have gingham paper and a critter as a focal point but everything else is different.

I made my own gingham frame by stamping the Mini Gingham background stamp on cardstock and then die cutting it with the Large Frame.  My focal point is the adorable Deary and Oh Dear birthday greeting.  (I need a lot of belated birthday greeting cards and not because I don't care.  I am convinced that the act of writing out an envelope taking something to the PO utilizes a totally different side of the brain from the creating side.  To finish off the card I used  Winter Foliage and a heart from Primitive Gingerbread.

I am a little later in posting this tonight because we took a day out and had a lovely celebration day.  I made us an extra nice meal with homemade German Chocolate Cake for dessert.  We saved the world once again in a game of Pandemic and generally enjoyed being together.  I hope that wherever you are you had a good day today.

As we begin another week, you are in my thoughts and I appreciate that you stopped by today!

Whatever

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's Pandemic Saturday #... whatever!  By now I think most of us are eating like no one is watching, or dancing or whatever!  Let's keep smiling and we will get through this!

This week Amy is our hostess for the Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  She has chosen a great photo site for us.  Quite often I will use a site like this to inspire a design.  Simply add a stamp or die theme into the search bar and ideas will fill the page like THIS one!

To decorate the Large Frame I used Seth Apter Spirals.   The fun sentiment is Dance or Whatever. And Lastly, I added Cats because I think cats have it all figured out!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate you!
Stay healthy and have a good weekend.

Tickled Pink

Hi and welcome to a new Impression Obsession Challenge.  This week's challenge is "tickled" so I am going with tickled pink!  I showed my daughter the IO funny sentiments I have and she chose this one so I built my scene around the sentiment.  To further add to my tickled pink theme I have a bright pink snail which is sort of funny and an owl with googly eyes who is very cute and funny!

Image may contain: possible text that says 'MORESON io Obà®® Tickled (funny cards) April 23rd May 5th CHALLENGE www.iostamps.com'

Now it's your turn to play along with the challenge!  Head on over to the Impression Obsession blog to see all the challenge samples from the design team and details on entering the challenge. You can enter to win a $25 gift certificate from IO by linking your "tickled" card.   The winning project will be chosen at random and will be showcased on the IO blog!

Hugs and thanks for stopping by!

Big Thanks

Tuesday night means it is time for a new Art Nudge. I love the graphic lines of this week's art prompt #7.  I followed the basic line and color combo then veered off on my own with the Big Thanks sentiment in the pink block and a pink border strip in the blue block. Fun!

The Art Nudge is open to all artists and all types of art.  I happen to create cards so I tend to stay in my lane but all art media is welcome!  We would love to see you there!

This sentiment die and much more can be found at Impression Obsession.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Second Star

This week's CAS Challenge is to use heat embossing.  This sky scene and sentiment make me smile with sweet memories of moments spent with my kids when they were young.  It's sort of magical!

I simply heat embossed the image and watercolored with Arteza Brush Markers.  No embellishments needed.

Sending you healthy wishes sprinkled with a bit of starlight!

Grow Through what you Go Through

Hello!  I am over at the Picket Fence Studios Blog today with several cards to share.   Below you will find a sneak peek but hop on over to the PFS Blog to view three cards in their entirety.

The newest Picket Fence Studios Release is full of uplifting sentiments that are just right for the times we find ourselves in.  I especially love the  Face the Sun set. The background for this card was made with the lovely
Leaves and Flower Stencil and LC Blender Brushes also sold in a Bundle.

I am participating in this week's Inspiration Challenge with this card.

This belated birthday card was created with a technique I found at Splitcoaststampers.    The Wild Wildflowers was heat embossed in white and the sentiment is from Seriously, Literally, Always.

Thanks so much for stopping by.   Hugs and wishes for your good health.

Seas the day, Embrace the day, Overcome the day!

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Hi and welcome to the Picket Fence Studios April Release!  My cards for this month all share a common theme, rise and overcome each day! Each new morning is a chance to seize, embrace, rise and overcome.  I hope you are finding bright spots in each new day despite the difficult times.

First up lets seas the day with this super fun Whelk Shell Scene and Coordinating Die stamped in pink.  I created a background with the LC Blending Brushes and Tropical Angelfish Stencil.  These fish are so pretty and making an underwater background is so fun and easy with LC Blending Brushes!  (also sold in a bundle) The sentiment is from the beautiful Vortex of Fish stamp set.

With this card, I am also celebrating Karen, this week's Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper!

Next up, let's embrace the day with beautiful Ponchatoula Strawberries!  I colored the image with watercolor brush pens and Inktense Pencils and fussy cut.  Even though this time, I chose to fussy cut the Strawberries there is a wonderful coordinating die set that I will be using a great deal!  I placed the strawberries in the gorgeous Terranium and added a sentiment from Face the Sun.

With this card, I am also playing along with the Art Nudge on FB.

And lastly, I created a star-filled universe with the Star Stencil and Snowdrop White Paper Glaze.  My paper earth was made while I was at Lydia's retreat.  My classmate neighbor, Pam shared her supplies with me and I came up with this amazing texture with one of her paints.  I have read so many posts about how the earth and its people have been forced to rest so I couldn't resist this sentiment from Face the Sun.

The Picket Fence Studios April Release is available now and you can find it all HERE.

If you are still with me, a heartfelt thank you and long-distance hug!  No matter where you find yourself today I pray you rise, heal, and overcome!
Love ya!

Miss You!

It's Saturday and that means it's time for this week's Inspiration Challenge. This week I am your hostess and I have chosen a lovely quilt site to inspire our designs.

The background cover die is the gorgeous Glass Window Rainbow Die.  Next, I added the sweet I Miss You Word Die.  Lastly, I fussy cut Piper from the Peach and Piper set and placed her on the word die.

Picket Fence Studios has lovely stand-alone dies that include backgrounds, sentiments and more.  There is also a darling second Peach and Piper set that has  Coordinating Dies.

And right now Picket Fence Studios has a special deal for us!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a peaceful weekend.
