Hi and welcome to the Picket Fence Studios April Release! My cards for this month all share a common theme, rise and overcome each day! Each new morning is a chance to seize, embrace, rise and overcome. I hope you are finding bright spots in each new day despite the difficult times.
First up lets seas the day with this super fun Whelk Shell Scene and Coordinating Die stamped in pink. I created a background with the LC Blending Brushes and Tropical Angelfish Stencil. These fish are so pretty and making an underwater background is so fun and easy with LC Blending Brushes! (also sold in a bundle) The sentiment is from the beautiful Vortex of Fish stamp set.
With this card, I am also celebrating Karen, this week's Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper!
Next up, let's embrace the day with beautiful Ponchatoula Strawberries! I colored the image with watercolor brush pens and Inktense Pencils and fussy cut. Even though this time, I chose to fussy cut the Strawberries there is a wonderful coordinating die set that I will be using a great deal! I placed the strawberries in the gorgeous Terranium and added a sentiment from Face the Sun.
And lastly, I created a star-filled universe with the Star Stencil and Snowdrop White Paper Glaze. My paper earth was made while I was at Lydia's retreat. My classmate neighbor, Pam shared her supplies with me and I came up with this amazing texture with one of her paints. I have read so many posts about how the earth and its people have been forced to rest so I couldn't resist this sentiment from Face the Sun.
The Picket Fence Studios April Release is available now and you can find it all HERE.
If you are still with me, a heartfelt thank you and long-distance hug! No matter where you find yourself today I pray you rise, heal, and overcome!
Love ya!

ReplyDeleteOh what lovely cards Angie - loving them all. Your earth is amazing, as is the fish and whelk shell scene. I would love some lovely large fresh strawberries like those about now! (It's been a grey and cold day here, a reminder that winter is just around the corner!)
