Relax and Soak Up the Sun!

Happy Summer!!!
Our teens have been out of school a week already and we have just gotten home from a trip to the beach!  We have taken trips to the mountains, we have gone out West but we have never been to the beach with the kids so we thought we better head to the beach before our son graduates next year!!!

I created this with Sweet 'N Sassy's lovely "Ocean Paradise" Stamp set for my sweet friend.  Her oldest graduated High School last week and now she needs a little vacation!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Charming Gardeners

Happy Monday!

There's a little "sniff" in my Happy Monday as today is my last post as GDT at Splitcoasstampers CAS challenge.  I have had a fabulous time seeing just how "clean and simple" I can go!!!

Joyce is challenging us to use wildflowers on our projects this week so I knew exactly which stamp set to pull out.  The watering can with wild flowers image and the sentiment from Red Rubber Designs was the perfect pairing for the challenge. The sentiment exactly states how I feel about all the wonderful artists that posted their cards in the CAS challenge during my term.  They made my soul blossom as well as my creativity!!

I also played along with Splitcoasstampers Featured Stamper.  Brenda (tessaduck) is being honored this week!  Brenda is the sweetest soul!  She is so kind and wise.  Everyone should have a Brenda in their life!  This is one of my favorite CAS cards that Brenda created: thinking of Regina.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Here's a peek at the stamp set I used this week.

Time to Celebrate!!!!

Hello, Everyone!

Angie here today with a celebration card.  School is out in just four days!!!  Woohoo!!!  Bring on summer!

I created this for my daughter to give to one of her teachers.  As I was just about finished she told me she wanted BLING and she liked the idea of "celebrate" more than "thank you".  I am sure the teachers are celebrating as much as we are!!!

I stamped one of the flourishes from  Leafy Flourish Background and More on the New Creature die cut butterfly and heat embossed with white powder. This Fabulous stamp set includes a full-size background flourish stamp plus six more flourishes and it's on sale for $23.40 through Thursday May 21st!

Thanks for looking and Happy Stamping!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Happy Monday!

Do you ever buy a new tool thinking it's going to make your life easier but once you get it home and use it, it doesn't quite meet your expectations and you wish you hadn't spent the money?

Well, here's one tool that won't disappoint!

Even though for my first use I didn't do anything fancy, no multi card stampings (it's getting late) or other techniques, I LOVED it!  It was so EASY to center my design!

Mega thanks to Shell & Brian and Mom & Dad Bode for the fun birthday present!!!

Splitcoasstampers CAS325 challenge is brought to us by Kathy this week and she is challenging us to add wheels to our cards!  My image is "Charming Gardeners" from Red Rubber Designs .

Oh Baby!

Happy Weekend Everyone!

It's a beautiful day here, I hope it's pretty where you reside!

A few weeks ago my son mentioned that his classmate's mom just had a baby boy.  We pass by their house every day on the way home from school and sure enough there were blue balloons attached to the mailbox announcing the new arrival!  I told our son I would make a card for them.  That was weeks ago.  Sigh!
With the help of a couple of challenges, I made time for the card today!

I played along with:

Sweet 'n Sassy Friday Feature!

Happy Friday!!!

All this month Sweet 'N Sassy is having a fun segment called Friday Feature.  This week's feature is "Leafy Flourish Background and More" and it's on sale!!!

This is a beautiful set that includes a background flourish at 4 1/2 x 5 3/4" plus 6 more flourish images!

For my card I used white embossing powder and created a resist then watercolored with TH Distress Markers.

My next step was to make this beautiful layer into a card so I started pulling things out.........

Ribbons, die cut vellum butterflies, precut flowers with brad centers, doily border, banners.......

Final result......

I scrapped the vellum butterfly, the lacy border and ribbons for the New Creature Clear Stamp Set and New Creature Dies . I chose the nonlinear banner from Banner Dies to continue the feel of movement and flow of the card design.

Thanks so much for stopping by and now I invite you to hop on over to Sweet N Sassy Blog to check out what my friends have created with this set!!!!

Feature Sale Price through April21st!!

CAS324 & CTS122 Inspire a Thank You!

Happy Monday!
To all the moms of two and four legs I hope you had a lovely day yesterday!

Today I am sharing a card merging Splitcoaststampers CAS324 challenge and Case This Sketch #122

For the Splitcoaststampers CAS324 Challenge Paula is asking us to create a "thank you" card.  Great timing for this challenge since I have teacher "thank yous" to get out.  I used Sweet 'n Sassy's Leafy Flourish Background & More, then added butterflies from Parisian Postcard.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

I am also playing along with Simon Says Stamp Blog

Class of 2015

Oh my, this time of year has taken on a whole new meaning to me as our oldest is just a year away from graduating High School!  Phew, I get choked up just thinking about it. So glad we have one more year but many of my friends are experiencing their first child's graduation THIS year so I have been loving Sweet 'N Sassy's "Congrats Grad" stamp set that also has coordinating "Congrats Grad Dies".

I used Splitcoaststampers SC538 Sketch and added a piece of blue lace using "Doily Border Dies".  I popped up the graduation certificate and the sentiment banner that is included in "Banner Dies".  Isn't that a fun shaped banner?

Thanks for stopping by!

Mini Thanks

Happy Monday!!!

I hope it's as pretty where you are as it is here today!

Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge is up and our lovely hostess Lee is challenging us to incorporate the letters M - A - Y on our projects this week.

M is for Mini Card (2 1/4 x 4 1/4) and Mini Flower Blocks 1
A is for Adirondack Alcohol Inks (for coloring) and Aqua color
Y is for YOU in the sentiment

The mini image is one of four flower images in Sweet N Sassy's Mini Flower Blocks 1 stamp set.

I hope to see your M-A-Y creations in the gallery!
