Dreamy Parisian Postcard and Brushos

Happy Monday to you!
I am playing with Brusho Crystal Colors today to create a fun background along with images from Sweet 'N Sassy's  Parisian Postcard clear stamp set.  Here's what you will need for this fun project.

Brushos Crystal Colors, paper flowers, adhesive fabric paper, Parisian Postcard, water mister.

Sleeping cat optional

Sprinkle Brushos on fabric paper.  It doesn't take much.  You can see a light dusting of powder on the frabric paper.

Mist with water and watch the magic happen.

In seconds the pigment becomes soft and dreamy.

Sprinkle just a bit of powder on flowers.

Photograph card to share online with your friends....get distracted by furbaby!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  You can find Parisian Postcard in the  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Sweet 'N Sassy August Release Day!

Hello, sweet friends! Welcome to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps August 2015 Release Blog Hop! We are super excited to be releasing not only three brand new stamp sets this month, but will also be adding a brand new illustrator to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps team, Karla Dornacher!

For today's project, I am featuring Karla's Worship The Lord.

This is a super fun set that includes 4 images and 11 words/phrases.  I randomly stamped the scripture reference using versamark ink on the base then added a lacy border with Doily Border Dies.

For the inside, I took all the words of the scripture and stamped them vertically down the page.

I was having so much fun with this set that I couldn't stop there, I created a bookmark too!  I was planning to give this away to my Bible Study buddy but Little Bit sat on it with wet paws and left a mark.  Sigh!  Guess I am going to enjoy it for myself!

Check out this darling baby set!. The vintage looking silhouettes and beautiful sentiments can be used to create sweet gifts and cards for your little one!

Our Innies are some of our most popular stamp sets. Baby Innies is the latest addition to the Innies series and can be used on the outside of the card as well as on the inside! It is a perfect complement to the Little One stamp set!

For my design I played along with Splitcoaststampers WT544 to focus on the left-hand side of the card.

To see all the awesome samples made by the Design Divas using the new stamp sets from the August Release, click on the links below! Don't forget to leave a little love on each blog as you hop along to be eligible for the PRIZE!
Then head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store to pick up your favorite stamp sets from the release! We just received a huge order so while you are there, you might also find that some of the favorites you have been waiting for are back in stock!

Sweet N Sassy - Warm Wishes

Hello, everyone!
I have a couple of fun Sweet N Sassy cards to share with you today.  I know that many of us are still struggling through very high temps but it's really never too early to start creating winter cards.  I created this last week for Lori's DTGD challenge.

I colored sweet Winnie from Winnie's Warm Wishes then added some dangle art and hung the words WARM WINTER WISHES from the dangles.

I also played along with Tenia's DTGD challenge and created this card with Tall Grass Dies and Birds & Feathers Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Camping Fun and Dare to Get Dirty

Hello, friends! Angie here!
Our summer officially ends today!  We go to orientation today and then tomorrow the kids head back to school.  Gulp.  I am really not ready but our senior is chomping at the bit to get the year started so whether I am ready or not here we come.
Many of you are still enjoying summer so I thought it would be fun to create a camping card with Camping Fun Clear Stamp Set.  My husband is already planning his next solo backpacking trip so I will tuck this into his backpack.

Since I had a lot of fun playing with water stamping last week I decided to use it for my night sky on this card.  The water got away from me a bit but I still think it looks cool!

I am also playing along with Kathy's DTGD challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a GREAT rest of the summer!

Dare to get Dirty and Red Rubber Designs

Hello, friends!

Today I am featuring a Red Rubber Designs image while playing along with Splitcoaststampers DTGD15CherylQuilts challenge.

I chose the beautiful Gerbera Daisy Red Rubber stamp for my focal point.

I stamped the daisies four times and colored two of them for my base flowers.  For the second set of  flowers, I  colored the top layer of petals, cut them out adhered them to the base flower centers then topped the entire flower with another center covered with glossy accents.  For the backrgound, I created a watercolor wash, when dried I tapped the paper in the leftover splatters.

Dare To Get Dirty - My Challenge

Hello!
Today marks day three of Dare to get Dirty at Splitcoaststampers.com! The Dare to get Dirty event is a week set aside to challenge and celebrate the talents of the Fan Club members as a special thank you for their support all year long.  We laugh together, chatter, send virtual hugs and of course, create art, there are  even prizes to be won!!!!

It was about this time four years ago that I found Splitcoaststampers, thanks to my son and daughter's 5th-grade teacher.  Armed with a couple of Martha Stewart punches, a heat tool that had been given to me ten years prior but never used, some paper and a couple of ink pads, I joined the "Stampin' Flybabies" group at  Splitcoaststampers. They took in this newbie and taught me everything I know!  They introduced me to blogging, where to find tutorials at Splitcoaststampers, and let me know I won a prize for playing along in my first HYCCT among other things!   I have even been privileged to meet several of the group IRL!!   The icing on the cake for me came in October 2013 when I was asked to join the Dirty Dozen team (I am still glowing from that honor)!!!

I am continually inspired by the talented artists that share their work in the galleries, the fabulous tutorials, and the amazing weekly challenges!  Now you know why I get so excited about the happenings at Splitcoaststampers and I don't want anyone to be left out!

Are you a Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Member? If not find all the details and benefits HERE then come join us for a fun week!

My challenge is going live today.  I can't tell you what the challenge is because it's a secret for Fan Club Members but I can tell you that I had lots of fun playing with this cute image from Red Rubber Designs called Hello Day.

This little girl just emanates sass and sparkle, don't you think?  I have a blast every time I create with her.  I stamped an extra cat, set of glasses, top and shoes then colored and fussy cut them.  The glasses and shoes received glossy accents for shine!  A little bling on the shoes and that was it!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Dare To Get Dirty

It's August and that means my emotions are all over the place!   By this time next week, my teens will have their first day of the 2015/2016 school year behind them.  It's a big year at our house with a freshman and senior in high school.  The fun part about the first week of August is that means it's time to enjoy a week of fun Dare to get Dirty challenges at Splitcoaststampers!

I would love to say that I was able to get my team on board and everyone agreed to this permission slip but instead I received groans, a couple of outright "no's" and a glazed look in the eyes! LOL

Today kicks off the first day of challenges and I played along with two of the six challenges.

Now I can't tell you what the challenges are but I can tell you how I made the card for Lydia's fun DTGD15UnderstandblueA!

I sponged TH Distress Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves ink in a random pattern. I spritzed water on the  MFT Confetti BG Stamp and rubbed the  sponged side of my background onto the stamp (it's a large stamp so it's easier to place the cardstock on the stamp instead of stamping on the paper).  The result was that the wet random confetti dots bleached through ink!  Cool, don't you think?
Snowflakes - Top Dog Dies
Believe- Little Yellow Bicycle
Doily Border- Sweet 'N Sassy

I also played along with Lee's fun DTGD15LuvLee challenge.  For this card, I rescued a bokeh background from my reject pile.  I die cut a Penny Black word die that I received from my sweet friend Janine of Brain Waves.

Celebrate - Penny Black
Gems

Now aren't you curious what the challenges are?  If you are not a Fan Club member stop by Splitcoaststampers to see how you can play along!
