Dare To Get Dirty - My Challenge

Hello!
Today marks day three of Dare to get Dirty at Splitcoaststampers.com! The Dare to get Dirty event is a week set aside to challenge and celebrate the talents of the Fan Club members as a special thank you for their support all year long.  We laugh together, chatter, send virtual hugs and of course, create art, there are  even prizes to be won!!!!

It was about this time four years ago that I found Splitcoaststampers, thanks to my son and daughter's 5th-grade teacher.  Armed with a couple of Martha Stewart punches, a heat tool that had been given to me ten years prior but never used, some paper and a couple of ink pads, I joined the "Stampin' Flybabies" group at  Splitcoaststampers. They took in this newbie and taught me everything I know!  They introduced me to blogging, where to find tutorials at Splitcoaststampers, and let me know I won a prize for playing along in my first HYCCT among other things!   I have even been privileged to meet several of the group IRL!!   The icing on the cake for me came in October 2013 when I was asked to join the Dirty Dozen team (I am still glowing from that honor)!!!

I am continually inspired by the talented artists that share their work in the galleries, the fabulous tutorials, and the amazing weekly challenges!  Now you know why I get so excited about the happenings at Splitcoaststampers and I don't want anyone to be left out!

Are you a Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Member? If not find all the details and benefits HERE then come join us for a fun week!

My challenge is going live today.  I can't tell you what the challenge is because it's a secret for Fan Club Members but I can tell you that I had lots of fun playing with this cute image from Red Rubber Designs called Hello Day.

This little girl just emanates sass and sparkle, don't you think?  I have a blast every time I create with her.  I stamped an extra cat, set of glasses, top and shoes then colored and fussy cut them.  The glasses and shoes received glossy accents for shine!  A little bling on the shoes and that was it!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

I also started out posting cards on SCS and then discovered that everybody has got blogs and then ended up doing my own blog!!! SCS has really opened a lot of doors for me - I will always be thankful for that!!! I still remember the night I 'discovered' SCS via Google - at that stage I didn't realize that I've hit the jackpot with my discovery!!!! And of cause ..I met you, too, my dear friend!!!! Enjoy being part of the Dirty Dozen - sound like great fun!!!
    Have a wonderful day!!!

  9. This is so sweet! As Cheryl said in a comment above mine...I also enjoying reading about your Journey! I know that Split Coast has also added so much to my life. I have had the pleasure of meeting so many people in real life from that site.
When I first joined the site...I was a newbie to stamping too...and only had about 6 rubber stamps to my name. (Don't ask me how many I have now...LOL!) I have learned so much with the techniques and tips posted there.
