Butterflies are Free Full Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone!  Today I get to share photos of my most recent Red Rubber Designs project on my blog.

I chose the Butterflies are Free stamp set from Red Rubber Designs because of the joy this stamp set conveys!  At our house, we are experiencing moments filled with a sense of joy that urge us to fling our hands in the air and do a happy dance but at the same time wonder where the time went!!!  Tonight we  attend a graduation party at church for our son.  He has attended a weekly small group and served in various positions, including video team and co-leading a small group.  We have watched him blossom from a little boy that struggled to connect with others to a young man that reaches out and intentionally connects with others to encourage them in their spiritual journey!  I expect that I will be moved to tears tonight but inside my arms will be  raised in joy as this marks a moment where I let my butterfly free to follow his purpose!

For my joy filled card, I stamped the cute little jar on a separate piece of card stock and fussy cut so that I could place it on the left side of my sweet girl.  I added a few clumps of grass with pen and marker under the jar to match the rest of the grass.

For the butterfly, I stamped it twice on the same checked designer paper as the border and layered the wings, adhering the top layer just in the center so the butterfly is free to fly!

A cheerful yellow border and matching paper pieced dress finish off the card.

Red Rubber Designs - Butterflies are Free

Hello, everyone!  Today is my turn to feature a project on Red Rubber Designs Blog!

It seems like just yesterday I planned out our summers with extra school activities to help our little guy prepare for the next school year and now all of a sudden here we are about to celebrate his high school graduation!  I can't quite take it in!

Since I am in a celebratory mood, I created a card to reflect my feelings. My project  features The Butterflies are Free stamp set from Red Rubber Designs

Just one Leaf ....

Happy Monday, friends!  I hope you had a great weekend.
I took a little time out on Saturday and created a card with the help of Audrie's IC544 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  For my design, I used the technique that Kelly shared a couple of weeks on TLC583 challenge.

I chose one stamp from Luscious Leaves by Red Rubber Designs and stamped in a light gray ink, then masked off the leaf and stamped again repeatedly along the edge of the card stock.

For the next step, I sketched in the leaves with a pencil and shaded with a blending stump.  I added one of the sentiments from the Wherever You Go stamp set by Red Rubber Designs and it was done!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

A Rainbow on the Way

Hello, friends!   This card was inspired by a couple of earth day challenges over at Splitcoaststampers that were held on Friday, April 22nd.  For F4A322 Robin asked us to feature something from nature and for bonus points add a 3D embellishment.  I chose to feature the Rays of Hope stamp from Red Rubber Designs.

Since I chose this inspirational sentiment from Wherever You Go with the mention of the chance to see a rainbow, I decided that I would forgo traditional yellow/orange sun rays and add a rainbow of beams.

For the MIX169 Anna asked us to feature Water, Wind, or Fire in some way.  Without water there isn't a rainbow so I went with water and for my second medium, I watercolored in between my distress inked beams with gelatos.  I then finished off the project with clouds and a wood veneer bird.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, now here's one more look at the stamp sets I featured in this project.

Happy Stamping!

WOYWW - A Unity Fox that's WOMW

Hello there!  Happy Wednesday to you!  I had the chance to create last night so this morning I thought I would join in with WOYWW!  To find out why in the world I would show off this messiest of desks click here and take a tour of desks around the world!

Here's a little I spy photo of my desk.  Yes, it really looks like this right now.  Sigh.  I had a bit more space last night as I was working but as I finished last night, I pulled out a new to me set that I will probably use next for RRD.  There is a Unity gift hiding behind the RRD stamp.  My handy dandy MISTI was used to position the sentiment and is still sitting on my desk.  At the top left are the foam pads I used to pop up my fox and the dish of rocks and glass beads are what I use for photo staging.

Here's my cute little finished Fox!  She is such fun to color.  I am going to be entering this card in Unity's show & tell page on FB.  I am playing along with this week's Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper (basement stamper) and this week's SC691.
