For the Teacher with The Project Bin

Hello!!  Happy weekend and happy summer for all those who graduated this week!  Here in our county, another school year has come to a close!  It's a little odd this year, doesn't seem quite real yet.  I am having all sorts of "end of school year" flashbacks.  Trips to the library,  summer playdates, free children's movies and even tutoring filled our summer days.  So different from this year as our oldest finished his first year of college and now has two summer jobs and our baby will fill her summer days with dancing and singing rehearsals for a summer play!  This time of year always makes me a little teary eyed! We made it!  We finished well!  Gulp, time is racing by!

One of the things that remain constant is a need for teacher appreciation gifts!  For the drama teacher, I pulled out the super fun stamp set, Wise Men from The Project Bin.

I thought the sentiment was so appropriate for someone teaching students to play different roles. Whatever you are doing, give it your all, be a good one!

I can't help it, I love this cute little bow tie!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, you make my day!

MISTI and Unity Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Hello! I am so excited because today Unity Stamp Company and My Sweet Petunia (the maker of the MISTI) are teaming up for a fun hop!

The MISTI is a necessity in my art room!  I simply do not stamp without it!  I love it for basic stamping, creating multiples, overstamping and much more.  It has eliminated crooked sentiments and inky smudges on artwork made by accidentally letting the acrylic block touch the paper (cannot tell you how many times that happened to me).   I love using the MISTI to get solid coverage stamping on mixed media backgrounds by overstamping several times precisely in the same place.  I love the MISTI so much, I have two!

I am a big fan of Unity's high-quality red rubber images & sentiments and have begun quite a collection!  I follow Unity Stamp Co. regularly on their social media sites so I was delighted to be able to create for this hop!

Today I am featuring projects using Unity's May Sentiment Kit, Happy Snail Mail.  This is such a fun kit!!! I will get tons of use out of the belated greetings as I am always late!   For today's projects, I placed the adorable mushroom stamp in one of my MISTIs and used my other MISTI to change out sentiments.

On the following projects, I stamped the image and watercolored with distress inks (along with an Elegant Writer pen on the first two). After they were dry I overstamped them again in precisely the same place with the MISTI to bring back the crisp lines on the image.

The dots on the mushroom are the perfect fit for translucent sequins!

It was so fun to create a magical world with distress inks and water for this happy snail!

For this last project:
1) I stamped with distress ink.
Spritzed with water to allow the ink to move then heat dried
2) Stamped over the top with black ink

Now that you have checked out samples using the amazing products from Unity Stamp Co and My Sweet Petunia, let's talk prizes!!!

Leave a comment at each blog on the hop for your chance of winning 1 of 3 prize packs from Unity and winner's choice of an Original or Mini MISTI!  Be sure to leave a comment on each blog before May 30th at noon Central Time.

Winners will be posted on both the Unity Blog and the My Sweet Petunia blogs on May 31st.

Good luck!!!!

Limited Edition with The Project Bin

 Happy Weekend to you all!
Today I have a fun card to share with you featuring Jukebox Birthday from The Project Bin!

I enjoy stamping backgrounds when I create with the cute Jukebox Birthday stamps so for this card, I stamped the atomic star randomly in pink.   After coloring the Jukebox and boomerang I added a bit of sparkle with Wink of Stella.

The Jukebox die adds fun dimension, check out the raised buttons!

I checked out the Teapot Tuesday challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week and saw that Brenda gave us a wonderful destination for our cards. The recipient likes Elvis but since I don't have any Elvis stamps I thought the next best thing might be a Jukebox card.

I used MOJO497 sketch for my design.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge asks us to add a bit of sparkle so I did that by adding a glitter paper layer plus Wink of Stella to the die cut images.
Here's another look at Jukebox Birthday!

ColorBox Petal Point Celebration

Hello!  Over the past month, I have been creating projects with Clearsnap ColorBox Petal Point Pigment inks!  New for summer is two Petal Point inkpads, "Boardwalk" and "Sunset".  I have had so much fun experimenting and creating with the new ink colors!

Because the inks don't immediately absorb into the paper they are ideal for heat embossed projects but that's not all!!!  Our review team has been happily creating with the ColorBox Petal Point inks and we are sharing our tips and techniques on the Splitcoaststampers Product Review page.  I hope you will stop on by and check out this cool product!

The Deer Trio die was a gift from my sweet friend Janine when she visited us in early April!

Here is a look at the fun summer colors!

Here are just a few of the projects I created while reviewing the new ColorBox pigment inks.

Yello! with The Project Bin

Yello and Happy Weekend!

Today I am sharing a super fun stamp and die set, Yello! from The Project Bin!

This set is just plain fun, from the cute new twist on the "When Life gives you Lemonade" sentiment to the pretty lemon slices, but there's more!  Today I stamped out the sentiment that fits in the die, and oh, my!  It's soooo pretty!!!  Not only is the sentiment pretty on its own but the die fits it perfectly making it easy to add dimension to any project!

I used a very wet ink from Clearsnap Colorbox to sponge an ombre look and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder, just for the fun of it!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the lemon and drew a line to ground it.  I left the rest open for a personal greeting!

Here's a look at the complete set:

Free Stuff!

Yello!  Happy Weekend to you!

Today I am sharing the new stamp and die set, Yello! from The Project Bin!
This super cute set has three sentiments, three cute images, and a die!

I think this sentiment is super clever.  My husband laughed for a good minute when he saw this new take on the, "when life gives you lemons" sentiment!

I played along with three great challenges to create this clean and simple, one layer card (well one layer if you excuse the lemon slices! :)

The Splitcoaststampers  F4A376challenge is to create a "CAS to ME" card, in other words, a simpler version of what I would normally make. Most of the time I like to create with at least two or three layers of either patterned paper or inky backgrounds.  To create a simpler version of what I would normally make, I kept a lot of "white" space and simply stamped the sentiment directly on the card front, added a washi tape border and a few lemon slices.  Clean and Simple!

The design of the card came together easily with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #220

I added a thin washi tape border with a "Hint of Pink"  after I checked out Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog - A Hint of Pink
Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great weekend!
Now I will leave you with one last look at The Project Bin's Brand new stamp set,
