Circle Synchronicity

I am hosting the Free 4 All Challenge this week and I have chosen Circles as my theme.

I had soooo much fun creating this.  I used a protractor that I received at Lydia's UNWIND stamping retreat and now I am addicted to circles!  To make my circles I ran an elegant writer pen around the different sized circle openings.  Then I spritzed the paper with water.  Oh, I just love the atmospheric look to this.  The sentiment is from the new Journal set from Seth Apter, sold at Impression Obsession!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you are inspired to check out the fun Seth Apter stamps sold at IO!

Foiling Fun!

Welcome and a happy Friday to you!
Today I am on the Picket Fence Studios Blog featuring
the Succulent Two-Part Foiling and Cutting Die set and Hot Glimmer Foil.  To foil, I used the Gemini Foiling Machine and then the Gemini Jr. to die cut the succulent.  (The Gemini Jr is really amazing at cutting out the super detailed dies so I am a huge fan of this machine!) I was thrilled with how the foil worked with the watercolor paper.

I am sure you are curious to see the entire card so head on over to the Picket Fence Studios blog but come back and check out the Gemini Jr and Gemini Foiling Machine by clicking the links or photos!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Impression Obsession - Obsessed with Dies

Hello, and welcome to Die-Cut day at Impression Obsession!

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day so last night, I spent the evening reading pieces of his sermons and speeches.  His words are just as important and relevant today as the day he spoke them.  I came across this quote several years ago and it means a lot to me. The quote is from a speech Martin Luther King Jr. gave to a leadership conference in Atlanta: "...and I say to myself that hate is too great a burden to bear. I have decided to love."

With the inspirational words of Martin Luther King Jr. ringing in my head, I am entering this card into this week's CAS Challenge at SCS.

Picket Fence Studios Release Day!

It's Picket Fence Studios Release Day!  This is such an exciting release as it coincides with Creativation!  Picket Fence Studios is releasing so many wonderful products today and I can't wait to get started so without further ado...

First up I am featuring the fabulous new Flowers.  I love that there are nine different flower shapes and sizes in the set.  It's so easy to stamp a bunch of flowers at once and cut them with coordinating dies.  I die cut the beautiful Terranium from gold foil paper and then I hung it on the black layer.  Next, I added the blooming flowers to the branch and lastly, I added a sentiment from the gorgeous Bride Bouquet set.

Next up is gorgeous Eiko, the newest Girl at Picket Fence Studios!  I colored her and used the coordinating die to cut her out.  I love to create cards that are masking and fussy cutting free so I am thrilled that all of the Picket Fence Girls have Coordinating Dies!  I stamped the Daisy on cardstock and added a sentiment that is included with the Daisy.  Then all I had to do was pop up Eiko on foam tape.

I saved the newest Peach and Piper card for last!    This set is absolutely darling!  It also pairs perfectly with Loads of Mail and it has a coordinating die set.

I hope you enjoyed viewing some of the gorgeous new stamps and dies from Picket Fence Studios!  Click HERE to see the entire new release!

I Miss Youuuuuu!

Hi!  Happy Monday!  Today I am participating in the CAS Challenge at SCS.  The challenge is to use something we hold on to and add to sort of like hoarding, but it's art supplies, so we don't use that word around here!  :)  My item is patterned paper.  I can't pass by a stack of patterned paper in the store and not buy a stack. Paper is totally my weakness.  I have had the BasicGrey Oxford paper stack I used today, since 2012!  I loved it so much that I bought another stack but I still have most of the original pack.  Hi, I am Angie, and I have a tiny paper obsession!

The cute little Ted E Bear and the Miss You sentiment are from the new Impression Obsession Release.  The die-cut hearts came from the Two Kitties die set which were released in the Fall collection.

In Love with Spring Day 6 - Blooming Backgrounds

Hello!  Today is the last day of the Impression Obsession In Love with Spring Release!  I hope you have had a great time! I have loved reading every comment so thank you for stopping by!  Today I am also hosting the Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers and I chose Artsy Albums.  What a fun site!  I found THIS photo and I knew right off which image stamp I wanted to use.  The plaid in the image inspired me to stamp the Mini Gingham Background stamp on pink cardstock and die cut it with the Stitched Tag. (check out the cute hole protector that can be added to the tag!)  After stamping, coloring and die-cutting Coffee Blooms, I decided the Shiplap Background would be just the thing!  I just love being able to color coordinate my background papers!  For a final touch, I decided to add the Dainty Heart and two mini hearts from the Eyelet Primitive Hearts set.

Now for a few details regarding the hop! Each day (January 6th - January 11th ) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog at 6am.

Every single blog will have a $25 gift certificate to give away for the event - so the more you comment through our Release Celebration the more chances to win! All comments for all of the event days will be open until Sunday, January 12th at noon CT. All winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 14th.

Impression Obsession - In Love With Spring Release - Day 5

Hi!  It's Day 5 of the spectacular IO In Love with Spring Release!  I hope you have enjoyed this amazing week but it's not over yet, tomorrow is the last day so stop back by for another chance to win!

Today's cards are bright and colorful inspired by the F4A516 Challenge at SCS!  The wonderful thing about paper crafting is that I can indulge in all of my whims!  Most of the time I love mostly white space but I also love bright, beautiful colors so today I am sharing my colorful side!

This is one of my favorite backgrounds that I made at Lydia's Unwind retreat.  Oh, I could get lost in it!  Lydia calls the background technique, Hurricane Wrap so I thought it would pair well with the Storms sentiment.  While I was deciding the layout, I had a giggle moment and just had to add a black cat from the Cat Set.  I love how it seems she is looking right into the eye of the storm.

This is a bit of an inside joke because our black cat was named Storm.  She wasn't named storm because she found us on a rainy night (which did happen) but because she was a STORM.  She blew into our lives with a wail and ran around our home like a gusty gale, knocking everything off in her path!  I loved her with everything!

Even though I have made light fun with this sentiment I truly do embrace the real meaning.  Sometimes the storms of life blow away things we don't need and clear our paths for the future.

My next card is another colorful creation!  This time I am featuring new Seth Apter stamps from the IO Release. The fun thing about this background is that it is a rescue piece.  I added too much water when I was using the Double Love stamp thereby obliterating the double heart.  Instead of trashing the background I set it aside for later use and found it worked beautifully with a spiral from the Spirals stamp set.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from Journal Jargon 7.

Now for a few details regarding the hop! Each day (January 6th - January 11th ) you can find a list of participants on the Impression Obsession Blog at 6am.
