Watercolor Wednesday - A Lighthouse

Hello!  Here is my edition of Watercolor Wednesday!  We are painting lighthouses this week.  Since the tutorial uses a traceable photo to get us started, I figured why not use a stamp this week?  I have only two lighthouse stamps to choose from after stamping for 10 years. I would have thought I would have more!  LOL! I located both stamps which, I am proud of because I haven't used either one in at least 9 years.  I am sort of stunned that I was able to lay my hands on both stamps in a matter of minutes!  I settled on this image & sentiment from a Mark's Finest Papers set.  Sadly MFP is now out of business but I not only still have the stamps, but I also have wonderful friendships from my time on the DT.

After I glued my painting to the card base, I placed the card in my Mini MISTI for perfect sentiment alignment.  This was a very relaxing and enjoyable practice.

  1. What a stunning card Angie - a great lighthouse scene - I have several lighthouse stamps as there are several lighthouse lovers, and fishermen, in the extended family.

  3. Absolutely beautiful stamped and watercoloured image, dear Angie. It conveys a powerful and wholly welcome sense of tranquility, while being every bit as lovely as a visit to the beach in person.

We are feeling the blues this week at the F4ALL Challenge.  We can make mostly blue cards, make a music card, or make an encouragement card ...
