Hello, everyone!
I'm so excited to share four brand-new handmade projects featuring the sweet stamp sets from the November SweetMissDaisy Designs Release! I had so much fun creating with these new images, and I think you're going to love the little Christmas surprises in this release. We have darling holiday chickens, a charming Woodcut Snowman, and some wonderful background stamps that make creating unique cards even more fun!
So, let's dive right in!
A Gift for You – Merry Cluckmas
First up is A Gift for You, featuring the darling little candy cane-toting chicken from the new Merry Cluckmas stamp set. There are five chickens in this set, and every one of them is absolutely adorable!
For this design, I created a layered banner using two shades of cardstock. The solid dark red banner provides a festive backdrop, while the second banner was stamped with the Chicken Tracks background before being die-cut. I love how this adds a little extra personality and texture to the design.
I stamped the sweet chicken holding her candy cane onto a square cardstock panel and added a few layered snowflakes and sparkling sequins around the image. The finishing touch is the sentiment, "A Gift for You," placed just below the focal image.
I'm also playing along with this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I found the cutest inspiration photo featuring painted papier-mâché candy cane ornaments, and I had so much fun translating those festive colors and shapes into a handmade card!
Next, I'm sharing another sweet chicken from the Merry Cluckmas stamp set. This little feathered friend is busy decorating a Christmas tree!
For the background, I stamped the Star Garland onto a vertical cardstock layer and colored the stars bright yellow, adding little red and blue buttons for a cheerful pop of color. This background stamp has such a fun, homespun feel, making it a wonderful addition to holiday projects.
I love all the different ways background stamps can be used to create one-of-a-kind designs. They are especially handy when you want to coordinate colors and patterns throughout a card.
To finish this design, I stamped the sentiment "Shine Like the Stars" from the Star Snow Angel stamp set directly onto the base layer.
True Friends – Woodcut Snowman
Next, I have a sweet winter card featuring the exclusive Woodcut Snowman from SweetMissDaisy Designs. I absolutely adore the little bird perched on the snowman's hand. Such a darling detail!
I began by stamping the Snow background in teal blue onto a stitched cardstock layer. Then I die-cut an arch from the center to create a window for the focal image.
On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the Woodcut Snowman and colored him in a soft flax shade. His hat and scarf are a vivid purple, with just a hint of teal sky behind him to complete the scene.
I adhered the snowman panel to the card base and layered the snowy background panel over the top, creating a fun arched-window effect. The sentiment, "True Friends," is popped up for a little extra dimension.
I think this little snowman and his feathered friend make the sweetest pair!
Better Together – Woodcut Snowman Triple Panel Fun FoldLast, but certainly not least, I used the Snow background and Woodcut Snowman to create a Triple Panel Standing Fun Fold card.
The back panels are stamped with the Snow background and distressed with Broken China ink for a soft, frosty look. The central panel is adhered with a piece of coordinating blue Monster Brights patterned paper.
I die-cut a large arch for the focal image and stamped the Woodcut Snowman inside. This time, I colored him in light blue and gave him a matching lemon-green hat and scarf. Even the darling little bird perched on his hand gets a lemon-green scarf of his own. Too cute!
I love how the coordinating colors and repeated snowman images bring the three panels together. It's such a fun way to showcase this charming stamp!
