Under the Sea, Baby and the Deep Blue Ocean

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

It's Picket Fence Studios release day and we have so many fun things to share with you!  First off on my first two cards I used the amazing Paper Glaze and mixed colors together to make a new color.  The background on the first card was made by wiping the excess glaze off the palette knife.  I love how a piece of trash can become an underwater scene!

Paper Glaze - Ocean Poppy
Paper Glaze - Cornflower Blue
Paper Glaze - Succulent Green
Paper Glaze - Snowdrop White
Sentiment: Early Tulip Bouquet

Since this is Saturday, I am also hosting the Inspiration Challenge at SCS so I am also entering this card in the challenge.

Next up is another fun Mix with Paper Glaze but this time I used the mix with the Mermaid Scale Stencil.  I started off with Marigold Orange for the lower portion, then I mixed Marigold Orange and Peony Pink.  For the uppermost part of the stencil, I took my Marigold and Peony Mix and added Snowdrop White.  Once it was dry I die cut it and then I cut part of it off for a pillow!  I added Sleeping Baby and die cut her with the coordinating die.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from Every Good and Perfect Gift

I am celebrating Pauline, this week's Featured Stamper with this card!

For my last card, I created an alcohol background on Yupo paper.  Then I die cut the Whale of a Tale cover die out of white cardstock.  I pieced just the clouds, sun, and whale back into the die cut scene and added a sentiment from Early Tulip Bouquet.

Inspired by a Pin

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Hi!  Happy Saturday everyone!  It's Saturday and that means it's time for a new Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  This week I chose a wonderful little company called The Gray Muse to inspire us.  I am not just a challenge hostess but I am a customer too!  :)  I fell in love with The Gray Muse pins at a stamping retreat.  Recently I ordered a grab bag and was so impressed, I placed a second order!  I am not affiliated in any way with The Gray Muse, I am just a happy customer!  :) Here is the very cool pin I found to inspire my design.

I wanted to send a thank you to a business office recently so I used the beautifully detailed Here is Where I Work stamp.  I masked off the cool wall decor and added a sentiment from this amazing Ways to Say Thank You set.  I kept coloring to a minimum for an uncluttered office look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I just want you to know that I am thinking of you and saying a prayer for you!

Art Nudge - Happy Little Bee

Hi!  So this is fun!  Tonight is the first-ever Art Nudge prompt.  Art Nudge is a new group on Facebook open to every artist.  Tuesday nights at 7pm there will be a new nudge or prompt.  Every type of art is welcome all you have to do is be inspired by the photo, create something and post your art.  How fun is that?

Since I am currently obsessed with creating cards that is probably what I will be posting most of the time but we are free to post anything!

This week's Nudge

No photo description available.

Since I love CAS, I took the nudge literally.  Lots of white space and a green layer.  Next, a fun hello sentiment and cute little orange flowers from Here's My Heart stamp set.  Lastly, a darling die-cut Bee colored with Copics and Wink of Stella for the wings.

You're the Best

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Today at Impression Obsession we are showcasing beautiful dies.  I chose this lovely Square Eyelet Tag for my focal point. For the background base, I added ink to my craft mat, spritzed with water and then swished the cardstock through the watery ink.  Next, I stamped the tag with the stunning Floral Spray Background stamp and added You're the Best.

I love creating cards with tags but this would be beautiful on a package or even a tree ornament!

I am so glad you could stop by today!

It's Saturday and that means time for a new Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  Julie is taking us to the most amazing quilted pinboard I have ever laid eyes on.  I saw so much beautiful art that I bookmarked the board for future inspiration!  I chose a lovely herringbone quilt as my inspiration.  I even have faux stitching on my card.  :)

Best Friends

Hi!  It's time for a new Impression Obsession Challenge!  This time we are celebrating Best Friends!

As often as I swoon over certain colors I think this pink/maroon makes me happiest of all!  I had fun popping up the first sentiment on a banner.  I purposely colored one girl in gray, that's me!  The other girl can either be my sister or my daughter, whoever needs a card first!  Here's what I used:

Now it's your turn!    Everyone is welcome to participate in the IO Best Friends Challenge, simply use your Impression Obsession dies and stamps!  You can find all the details on the Impression Obsession Blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope to see you linked up in the challenge!

Merry March Wishes

(Affiliate links used when possible which means when you click a link and order from my link I receive a small commission without any additional cost added to you.  Thanks so much!)

Happy March and where did February go? I sure don't know but since today is the first day of the month that means it's time for a new Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge.  With this card, I am also celebrating this week's Featured Stamper, Maura!

Our son came home for the weekend so I set aside everything and just hung out with him.  We had some wonderful chats, watched one of his favorite movies and played Splendor with the Expansion set.  I have lost every game of Splendor we have played except one since we bought it two years ago!  But I digress.  Since my son was home I didn't start working on this card until late in the evening and that's where the joy of using Picket Fence Studios stamps and dies comes in!

The Glass Window Cover Plate is a dream to use!  I ran it through my Gemini Jr and all those little pieces cut perfectly! The pieces that didn't fall out on their own were easily removed by pressing into the cutouts with a piercing tool.  All I had to do after that was add a colorful piece to the back of the cover die cut and boom, an interesting background was born!  The focal point sentiment is a wonderful size so all I did was add a bit of stamped embellishment from On a Christmas Walk (coordinating die) and The Season of Giving (coordinating die).  The coordinating dies made it a snap to finish the card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I would love to know if you have ever played Splendor or even if you like board games!
