Speedy Fox & Friends 125 - Favorite Technique

Happy Weekend!!  This week's Speedy Fox & Friends challenge is to make a project using your favorite technique.  So many techniques, so little time!!!  I look forward to seeing all the different techniques used this week and reading about your choice of technique! You can link up your project  HERE!

I had a hard time deciding on a technique to showcase.  I have so many that I love but I decided to go with heat embossing.  My sister gave me my very first powder and a heat gun over 10 years ago.  I never took the heat gun out of the box or opened the powder!!!    Last year when I began to paper craft, I remembered I had these items tucked in a plastic container in my closet!!!

I love sprinkling on the powder and watching it change into a shiny coating when heated!  I have used this butterfly from MFP a Heinrich Co. Today, Tomorrow and Always quite a bit and I  heat emboss it every time!!!  For this project I painted the inside of the butterfly with Perfect Pearls.  Here is a close up so you can see the effect of the heat embossing.

I used two MFP a Heinrich Co. stamp sets:

  1. Angie--this is so beautiful! Your layout is perfect to show case this wonderful butterfly! TFS

  2. Beautiful Butterfly!! Must try the Perfect Pearls. Heat embossing is so fun...almost magical.

  3. He looks awesome embossed. I don't do this enough.

  4. Wow, beautiful papers and a really pretty butterfly. I have never used the perfect pearls.

  5. Angie,
Beautiful card and exquisite butterfly. I love the shades of blue - lovely.

  6. Gorgeous card, Angie. You got a good photo to show off the embossing. The butterfly looks super and I love your dp.

BTW, the stamp you mentioned on my 'Fall Leaves with a Message' card is one I picked up at Michaels or Hobby Lobby, I believe. If not, Inkadinkado has it online if you still want it. I do really love it.

  7. Gorgeous card Angie! That butterfly is stunning! Love the soft blue edges around the sentiment!

You make my day with your sweet comments!!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
