My first thought when I think of my state is the Peach. My husband's thought is all the pine trees and camping. Since I don't have any stamps that fit those stand out GA images, I was a tad stumped for a bit. I tried a couple of things but they looked better in my head!!! So I thought it would be fun to use the music score from JUST a NOTE and pair it with the computer generated sentiment "Georgia on my mind".
Inspiration struck for the GA flower when I glanced at the shelf with my stamp box. I always place the brand new stamps in front and vertical so that they are visible above the box. My eye caught at the clover from Lots of Luck that was placed in front. I stamped it twice and added a die cut center and I think it makes a pretty good Cherokee Rose (GA state flower).

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
What a fantastic card, Angie. I love how you used a song for the theme for your state card. It took me a minute to realize you used the shamrock stamp for the flower. Brilliant idea. I lived in Georgia many moons ago in the small town of Winder. I really liked it there.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie - thanks for stopping by my blog - I love the MUSIC paper on your card and especially the song - did you see his movie about Ray Charles? I was some movie to watch and see what he went through during his life time - love to hear him sing! Thanks for a great display! Enjoy your weekend! Gail
