The special stamp set we have for you this month is:
"News From The Woods"
"Corn Ears"
Welcome to day three of the hop! We are sharing "Glad Glads" today. Warning, I have several photos to share today! I created two very different looks using the exact shades of ink for both cards. Both cards were painted with alcohol inks. When I finished and had the panels side by side, I didn't think either of them turned out. I wasn't giving up, though with a little bit of CS for the first one and some embellishment on the second a couple of cards were born!
Inside:
The wood grain DP has some turquoise in it so I picked that up with CS bases.
The butterfly is paper pieced and flies away from the card:
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will check out all the beautiful inspiration my teammates have created for you and leave a comment for your chance to win today's stamp set!
Beautiful cards. I love the colors used. AJ-
ReplyDeleteWow, these are so gorgeous. I love the results of the flowers on the first on.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards. Love the soft colors. TFS AJ-
ReplyDeleteAngie - they are so pretty, particularly the first one. Did you stamp with Alcohol inks for that one? It gives a lovely soft feel and as usual the inside is all posh too!
ReplyDeleteI think they both look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteTwo very nice cards you shared today. I do like the first one very much- maybe the brightness of the glads appeals to me!

Forgot to say that I love what you did with the alc inks and the dimensional butterfly. TFS.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking that maybe you like this set! I absolutely adore how the first card came out and I love how the butterfly looks as well. Great creations today, Angela. Oh, the clean look of the second is terrific!
ReplyDeleteAmazing colouring! I love both of these cards, but that first one is my favourite! Is the image heat embossed in white? Its perfect because your painting looks like a little work of art! I may have to borrow that idea! :)
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous creations using this set. I LOVE the way you colored the glads on the first one.
ReplyDeleteWow! What beautiful cards! I love the second one because of the coloring that you did...it is so perfect with that background. Your first card is lovely, looks like it is water colored! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteAngie, they turned out gorgeous. I love the yellow glads! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards turned out very nice but I like the first one.
ReplyDeleteIt made me think of the ones my mother used to grow in the backyard...well done
WOW! I love all the versions of these pretty flowers you shared with us! The first card looks absolutely lifelike with your fabulous coloring! Beautiful!

Your sense of color is amazing! I'm in love with your first card. You must have embossed in white first.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a wonderful job with the yellow tulips....yellow is my favorite color for flowers.
