Hello Friends!
At MFP today, Shirley has chosen three fabulous photos to inspire our creations this week!
I was really drawn to photo number two with the purples, greens and yellows. I chose the balloon image from MFP's Hot Air Balloon Mini Stamp Set and colored the balloon with similar colors in the photo. After I began coloring I realized that my card looked very much like a Mardi Gras card! Actually it kind of made me hungry for some King Cake!
Since my card turned into a nod to Mardi Gras, it will be flying to Louisiana to make its home with my biggest fan, my little niece! Maybe she will catch some Mardi Gras beads for me! :)
Well, before I leave you with a little song I have to tell you that I am going to do a little flying away myself. Nope I am not going on a hot air balloon ride but this will be my final post with MFP for awhile. I am just a couple months short of having designed with MFP for three years!!! MFP hired me when I was a fledgling stamper and they have allowed me to experiment, learn, and grow as a designer and blogger! I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with MFP and their wonderful designers. Many of the DT have become dear friends.
I will miss working with you, my friends but I will see you regularly in blogland!!!!
Love these colors and you did a lovely job on this Hot air Balloon...Lis
ReplyDeleteYour card is perfect for saying goodbye to MFP. They will miss your talents I am sure. Your Baloo looks so regal rising into the sky.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I am sure that she is going to love it. 3 years is a long time. I started with MFP in 2011. One of the best things about MFP was getting to know you. I am glad to call you my friend. You have done a wonderful job showcasing MFP stamps. Praying blessings for your future artistic endeavors.
ReplyDeleteAngie,
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty and elegant and, oh my gosh, the Fifth Dimension - what a song!
Ha ha! Your card is full of happy Marti Gras colors indeed. It is a very warm and fun card. Now I need king cake. Or just cake. I'm not picky.
ReplyDeleteUp, up and away - Angie I am so glad we worked together or we would not have "met". Your card is very pretty and the inspiration picture you chose looks similar to my hot air balloon card from last year when I added it above our local lavender fields!
ReplyDeleteAngela, your card is so pretty. I liked that picture, too. (even though I did a pink balloon) I am happy to have had you on the Inspiration team and had the chance to get to know you. You definitely will see me in blog land.
ReplyDeleteWOW, such great colouring of the lovely balloon, Angie!!! Love the little clouds in the bg and the rhinestones!!! The matting looks beautiful!!!! Great card for your niece, Angie - she will surely love it!!!

Your card is beautiful Angela! Gorgeous colors that match up with Mardi Gras and that yummy looking King cake which I want some of right now (I can smell it - LOL). Great card. I will miss doing the Inspiration Challenge with you! Hugz
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so much fun. I had never heard of King Cake. We don't do Mardi Gras up here in Canada. Love your CAS card.
