Happy Saturday!!! It's a beautiful day out today! There are so many things to enjoy about Saturdays and one of them is the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I enjoy looking at a photo and allowing it to spark creativity so the IC challenge is the one for me! This week it's my turn to challenge us. Splitcoaststampers is a free site open to everyone with daily challenges, personal galleries, tutorials and much more. Just click here to check out today's IC653 challenge. If you stop by let me know, I am ohmypaper! over there!!!
I am a big fan of Unity Stamp Co. for their unique designs. I love hanging out at Unity Stamp Co Show & Tell on FB and I love watching Angela and Whitney's videos at Unity Stamp Co FB. Angela and Whitney are warm, funny and inviting. I love to catch the sales at Unity which is what I did with the stamp kit I am featuring today. I purchased three Truly Rest kits while it was on sale and sent them to my friends, Janeen and JoAnn. We decided to create two cards each and then have a reveal day. It was a lot of fun seeing how differently we all used the same stamp.
I just noticed that the kit is back on sale this weekend so if you like it.....
The gold in the photo inspired me to open up a jar of gold paste and distress the edges of my layers. I also dabbed a bit over the feathers once they were colored. One of the mugs has a gold and blue feather so I used that as inspiration for my coloring.
For my next card, I went for an even cleaner look, I used the same Copic markers as above, coloring the leaves yellow gold but the feathers completely blue.
Thanks so very much for stopping by today!

Two beautiful cards - really love the one with the feather all in blue
ReplyDeleteSuch a vision this card is! I love the bold blue - it’s such a lovely contrast against the white card stock. Such a joy to see the triple cards that you’re making with your besties- that’s always a joy!
ReplyDeleteOh what gorgeous cards Angela - love the one with the bi-coloured feathers - that is really eye catching
