Christmas All Year Long

Happy New Year!
I am so glad you stopped by today.  I would love to hear what your New Year's traditions are or if you don't have any, how are you spending today?

I do not have a New Year's card to share with you but I do have my first Christmas card of 2020!  There are several challenges at Splitcoaststampers that encourage us to get ahead on our Christmas stamping.  This card is for the Fan Club Christmas Challenge

I stamped this gorgeous Christmas in France stamp on kraft.  Added some white pencil and red Copic berries and done.

So I just wanted to mention that Impression Obsession has a great sale happening right now!  There are dies as low as $1.00!  Click here to shop the SALE.

And don't forget to leave me a comment and tell me about a New Year's tradition or what you are doing today!  I am stamping today.  Everyone is out of the house so I am stamping.  My blog isn't called "I Would Rather Be Stamping" for nothing you know!  :)

Style

Hello! It's Saturday and that means my card has been inspired by a site that was chosen for this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  Brenda has chosen a ribbon site this week so the German Braids stamp and die set was calling to me! I simply love adding ribbons to the Braids Stamp Series at Picket Fence Studios.  This girl was obviously born with style so I used a sentiment from Your Eyeliner Straight.  The background was created with LC Blender Brushes and the Peacock Mandala Stencil.  I pulled the background from my unfinished pile and found ribbons to match, how fun is that?!

Before you go I have a couple of fun items to share with you!  For a limited time when you spend $60.00, you get Your Eyeliner Straight for free!  Or you can take advantage of the Year-End Sale at Picket Fence Studios!

There is also a sale and bundle on the large set of LC Blender Brushes!

Coffee with Extras

Hello!  Are you recovering from your holiday feast?  Maybe your holiday has been moved to accommodate friends and family and your feast still awaits?  Well, all the feasting inspired this week's Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers!  My challenge is to create a card featuring a sweet treat.  I chose a yummy cup of coffee with Irish Cream and a dollop of whip topping!  Yum!

To create the sweet treat I used these beautiful die sets from Impression Obsession!

It's so much fun mixing and matching Impression Obsession dies to create fun scenes!

Happy Holiday weekend to you!

Yikes!  Here we are on the last weekend before Christmas.  What are your plans for this weekend?  I am determined to stay away from all the stores except the grocery store until after Christmas.  I would rather be stamping!  :)    If you would rather be stamping why not join us for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers?  Stacy is our hostess and she found a lovely site to inspire us!    I found THIS gorgeous pillow.

I placed the beautiful Quatrefoil Bouquet Stencil on cardstock and added color with the Life-Changing Blender Brushes.  I can't imagine adding color any other way than with an LC Blender Brush.  Next, I splattered the design with water.  Lastly, I added the Happy Day Foil sentiment with sparkling silver.  It's a lot of fun to create foiled impressions with Picket Fence Studios dies and the Gemini Foil Press and Gemini Jr!

Whatever you do this Saturday, I hope you have a happy day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

IO Quick and Easy Holiday Card Challenge

The new Impression Obsession Challenge is Quick and Easy Holiday cards.  I chose Christmas because it's my favorite type of card to create and I have this super fun Fa La La Llama stamp I wanted to use!  One of the things that made this card so quick and easy was that I already had the llama created and in my stash.  It didn't take any time at all to add the hat and scarf from the snowman, his accessories and the holly from Primitive Gingerbread.  The large frame makes for a quick and easy design element and it's eye-catching too!  So there you have it, a  quick and easy holiday card.

A Very Yummy Picket Fence Studios Release!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Picket Fence Studios December Release.  This release has an incredibly yummy stamp and coordinating die set, two stencils, a stand-alone die and much much more!

First up is the gorgeous Let's Decorate set.  There are so many ways to mix and match the stamps and the coordinating dies make it a snap!  I used Tulips Stencil for the background.  It makes me think of fancy curtains which make a lovely background for a gourmet cake!  I love the smooth blending achieved with the use of the LC Blender Brushes. (also sold in a 4pk) and both are on sale right now! I added a sentiment from Cheat Day to finish off the card.  With this yummy cake, I am also participating in the Inspiration Challenge at SCS.

Next up is one of the new stencils.  I love the abstract design of the Points of Interest stencil!  I created a watercolor background with the stencil.  Next, I added a couple of alcohol markers from I work for Watercolor and die cut them with a coordinating die.  Lastly, I add a sentiment from Charlotte the Chameleon.

Hop on over to the Picket Fence Studios Blog for a tip on making December birthdays a little more fun!

It's also my turn to host the Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  Kelly is our Guest Designer and she chose a fabulous site.  I found this fun photo!

Town of Bethlehem

It's time for a segment that Impression Obsession calls Old is New!  I love it!  It's so much fun to use some of these gorgeous older stamps in fresh designs.  Since, I am a fan of CAS (clean and simple) cards,  I simply stamped this all in one Bethlehem stamp and colored it.  I left plenty of white space so that the eye is drawn right to the elegant image.

For a full list of the Design Team members creating projects for Old is New check out the Impression Obsession Blog!

A Winter Wreath

It's time for a new Inspiration Challenge at SCS.  This week Julie is taking us to Mackenzie-Childs to inspire us.  I found a pin of a beautiful wreath on a blue door.

I love the details in the Stars and Berries Wreath by Impression Obsession.  I colored in the stars with a paintbrush and added pearls to the berries.  I didn't have red pearls so I took pink pearls and colored them red with a marker.  Lastly, I added a bow!

I tried a sentiment and just wasn't happy with it.  It took away from the crisp twig wreath so the sentiment will go on the inside.  I like to use these cool sticky notes by My Sweet Petunia on the inside of my cards.

Impression Obsession has so many beautiful wreath images; if you like this one you might like to check out the selection in the store!
