Speedy Fox & Friends 140 - Tissue Paper

Good morning!!!  I hope you have been enjoying the holidays!  Except for missing my husband (he has to work this year) it's been a relaxing week at our house!  I didn't think I could stay away from my craft room but I ended up taking 5 days off!!  With a Speedy Fox & Friends challenge on Saturday I went back to the craft room to see what I could create with tissue paper!  We hope you will join in the fun this week at Speedy Fox & Friends  and use tissue paper on your craft project!

I used the stamp set "Just a Note" for the focal point and the sentiment.  This has  become one of my favorite sets!!!  I made a couple of tissue flowers but ended up using just this one and added a gem to the middle.     I also wanted to try the "cracked glass" technique again. I had a new embossing powder that was thicker but not quite as think as UTEE.  I only need 3 coats of the powder this time instead of the 4 with my regular transparent EP.

A close up shows the tiny ribbon I placed on the strip of flower DP  but then ended up covering most of it with the sentiment!!!!  You can see a little more of the cracking here too.

Thanks so much for looking and enjoy this last weekend in 2012!!!

Just a Note

  7. Love that tissue flower, Angie. The color is so pretty and spring-like. I have made one of those and really enjoyed it. I'm still waiting to do the cracked glass technique. Maybe I'll get around to it someday.
