MFPS a HC - Special Feature

Happy Monday!  Today is a fun Monday because it's blog hop week at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps a HC and I get to share August's special feature and mini set today!

 "Lucky You"

I stamped the cat on the oval, then I stamped just the coin and embossed with gold EP.  I stamped the paw once more, cut it out and glued it on top of coin.

I used the Mix-ability challenge at SCS to blow media around the page.  I started with blowing water color and Lemon Drop reinker.  When it was dry I placed drywall tape down and sponged Fired Brick Distress ink.  At this point I found that I liked the look better vertically than horizontally.  I stamped the time piece image randomly,  added a bit of gesso in the middle and vintage photo on the edges and  with that I unfortunately obscured my opening process of blown watercolor and ink!!

The film strip is from "Now Showing".  I stamped on vellum then brushed color on the strip with lemon drop dye ink reinker and red water color.

Thanks for looking and I hope to see you all this week as I share new releases with a chance to win a stamp set!
