PPRS Monday Inspiration - Changing up the Image

Happy Monday!!!!
Ooops! Guess what I did.  I forgot to write up this post!  It was on my list for last night and then I guess I got distracted and oopsie.

Well here it is and I have to tell you I think this is going to be one of my favorite cards!!!  I am sharing with you JJ0085 Hanging an Ornament today.  Yes, you read that correctly, an Ornament!  This is a Christmas image.  I didn't get to use her in December so I decided that with just a tiny change I could use her all year long!  There's just something about her that tugs at me.  It might be my passion for Classic movies that makes me love her so, she reminds me of the stars of some of my favorite movies!

So how did I change this cute image? On the stamp she holds an ornament.  I masked off the ornament, stamped the heart from GG0131 Branch with Hearts on a sepeate piece of paper, colored and fussy cut it.  Next I drew a line from her hands to where I was going to place the heart.  I adhered the heart and violoa!  She's now a valentine!!!!

It's not nice to peep under a lady's skirt but I thought just this once it would be ok so that I can share the fun dimension.  The skirt was stamped on patterned paper twice.  One layer adhered to the image, the second layer I added tulle then adhered at the waist leaving the lower portion of the skirt to flow!

I played along with SC522 for my design so in keeping with the sketch I used PPRS-D034 Floral Border for the layer beneath the image and the sentiment is part of CLR047 Mini Vases.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!

I hope you will stop on by the PPRS BLOG to see all the goodies my teammates have to share today!

  5. i agree with jimlynn. it does have the fun reek of "old television" I can certainly see why it would be a fave of yours. I like how your lace brings out her under slip. The paper piecing is great.

  6. I love your card! I have a collection of vintage images of these '40's/'50's girls and I just love them. Your idea to exchange the ornament for a Valentine heart is so clever! I also love the way you poofed out her skirt with a tulle petticoat - so, so darling! I must purchase this stamp! Thanks for the inspiration!
